WOW! I did not expect this book to go in the direction it did! Holy Twisted! The second half of the book had me on the edge of my seat, begging my eyes to read faster. I needed to know what was going to happen, and when it happened, I was floored…I didn’t see it coming…I wasn’t ready for it to come, but man am I glad I experienced every fucked up minute of it!
Twisted Ties starts two years after the ending of Shattered Ties. Even two years later, both Emma and Jesse are STILL trying to move on from what happened…from the love they feel for one another, but they can’t. When all hell broke loose at the end of Book 1, Jesse left California and moved to West Virginia with his mom and her boyfriend, and Ally, the she-bitch, took off to lick her wounds. Emma never felt more alone, so she sought out Jesse’s ex best-friend and Ally’s brother, Andy, to help her work through everything that happened. Along the way, Emma and Andy became best friends and left California together to find Jesse and try to make things right. To say that things don’t go as planned is an understatement. Lies, manipulation, and miscommunication stand in Emma and Jesse’s way of reuniting, and if Ally has anything to do with it, they will never be together again. I don’t want to go any further into the storyline because it will give too much away, and this is a twisted ride that every reader needs to experience on his/her own. Fair warning, though, this is probably K.A. Robinson’s darkest story yet.
There are tons of twists and turns in this story that readers might not see coming. The truth and relationships get twisted at multiple points in the story, so much so, that I never thought the reality of the situation would come out. K.A. Robinson created one hell of a psycho bitch in Ally. I knew she had issues, but holy man she takes fatal attraction to a whole nother level. If you want to read a gripping and twisted story, pick up Twisted Ties and see for yourself if Emma and Jesse can reunite when there is someone hell bent of making sure that never happens.
4 poison apples – which I’d gladly give to Ally!
