Blurb

Killer. Criminal. Sociopath.

All of these words have been used to describe me, and for the longest time I believed that that’s all I was.

I’m the man you call in to clean up your mess, assuming your mess is a guy who needs a bullet to the head. I’m the man the MC calls when they want their dirty work done.

I’m the man who doesn’t feel.

Until now.

Until her.

Now my mess is a woman who won’t save herself. I’ll fight like hell to save her, but at what price to the club? And at what cost to me?

Warning: TANK contains graphic violence, profanity, drug use, and explicit sexual situations that may be a trigger and cause some readers emotional discomfort.

Intended for an 18+ audience only.

Not intended for pussies.

Review

Used. Abused. Corrupted. Lost Cause. Addict. Whore.

These are the words that describe how Ivy’s felt about herself since her father stoled her innocence and gave her a way to forget the unspeakable things done to her.

But that’s not how Tank sees Ivy – she may be small and a bit helpless right now due to her addiction, but he doesn’t see her as a lost cause. She’s his Warrior Princess, and he wants to save her and have her back even if she only has eyes for those who treat her like shit and allow her to get off with their brand of pleasure in pain.

In Kick’s story, I didn’t know how to feel about Tank and Ivy; I couldn’t really get a handle on who they were and why, but in Tank, readers are privy to their deepest and darkest memories – the pasts that formed their opinions on love and set them both down paths where their bodies and souls have been corrupted, but it doesn’t mean they can’t be reinvented.

Tank is quite the dichotomy – he’s a heartless killer who refuses to feel helpless ever again, but that is exactly how he feels when he struggles to get Ivy clean. In one moment, Tank will be completely twisted and perverse and then in another he tries to bring beauty into Ivy’s life with claiming words.

Ivy is a hot mess; she’s strung out and craves what the drugs allow her to forget. Jenner does an amazing job of illustrating how deeply conflicted Ivy is when it comes to Tank and what he wants as well as her need for the high and pain. It’s made immensely clear how and why Ivy chose the path that she’s on, and it’s a journey that NO ONE should have to endure. But it says a lot about Ivy that amidst her struggles, she finds a way to fight…it doesn’t occur immediately and Jenner takes Ivy as well as readers through a tumultuous path to get there, but her clarity begins and ends with Tank by her side, protecting her and soothing her like only he can.

Tank is an amazingly emotional and captivating read. Carmen Jenner’s introspective look into the minds of Tank and Ivy and the demons that they battle on sometimes an hourly basis completely blew me away. Jenner expertly captures how truly fucked up people become from the torturous events of their past and the damage it not only does on their bodies but their psyches as well.

This is dark romance at its finest, and I can’t wait see how she brings Jett into the light!

Kick Trailer

Excerpt

“You gotta deal with this shit, and you gotta deal with it now. Snortin’ another line ain’t gonna change what happened to you. And it ain’t gonna help you protect yourself when I ain’t around.”

“No, it won’t, but it helps me forget. And every second I spend sober is another second I want to peel off my skin. I need to forget the things he did to me, Tank. I use to forget, and that shit is the only thing keeping me glued together.”

“Bullshit.” I step closer and snag her around the waist. She fights. I wrap my hand around her delicate little throat. Ivy stills. Desire flares in her eyes, and I bring my lips to her ear.

“Let me be your cocaine.”

She laughs humourlessly. “You can’t.”

“Why?”

“Because you don’t want to hurt me,” she says.
