Recently, I’ve been given the amazing opportunity to BETA read & proofread books by some of my favorite romance authors, and I’ve found it’s just one more way that I can immerse myself even more into a book community that I love.
Read about my background in both areas, and feel free to email me with any questions.
I love being a part of the entire writing process; there’s nothing more rewarding as helping a writer work through a story and assist with pacing and character development. Whether it’s a couple of chapters at a time or the entire first draft, when all the parts of a book come together into an incredible final product, it’s proof that the process works.
As a beta reader, I work through the chapters, offering feedback on plot structure, character development, conflicts, and pacing.
Notes will be created and emailed to the author and then if further feedback is needed, a continued conversation can occur.
Beta reading is something that I thoroughly enjoy doing, and it’s a completely free service. My ARC review schedule and/or other beta reading opportunities already scheduled will determine if I have openings at any given time, but please don’t hesitate to inquire if you’re looking for another set of eyes for your WIP.
A few authors who I have already beta read for include:
- Ahren Sanders
- Karina Halle
- Tia Louise & Ilsa Madden-Mills
- L.A. Fiore
- Lani Lynn Vale
- Pam Godwin
Future authors who I will beta read for include:
- Lili St. Germain
- S.L. Jennings
- Nina Lane
I’m a high school English teacher with a Masters in English, so not only are words my passion, but they’re also my job! My nerdy side definitely comes out when it comes to proofreading. I’m a meticulous grammarian, and I pride myself on making each text I read error-free. I usually go through two rounds of proofreading, if time allows, and I track changes on Microsoft Word so that it is easy for authors to see where suggestions and changes have occurred.
I have had the opportunity to proofread for Ahren Sanders and LA Fiore, and I am scheduled to proofread for Ilsa Madden-Mills in October.
