In Do you Believe?, readers get to experience Christmas with all of the Believe characters who we have grown to love by reading Trust and Veiled. Ms. Chapman gives readers an inside look at Megan and Mark’s loving relationship and happy family with Lucy Doo as well as the continuing love story of Jenny and Warren as they prepare to welcome Jenny’s baby boy. We are also able to witness Connor’s relationship with his daughter, Kate. What makes this novella an extremely sweet read is little Kate. Kate’s young life has already been filled with too much sadness, and the Believe crew goes out of their way to make Kate believe in the magic of Christmas and surround her with all the blessings of the Holiday season. Despite all of the holiday cheer, drama still unfolds: John makes attempts to contact his daughter, and Jenny’s family is falling apart. These events need to happen though so they can lay the groundwork for further books. Overall, Do you Believe? is a wonderful holiday read. It’s a short, sweet magical story that emphasizes family traditions, both old and new and provides further insight into the loving relationships as well as the potential trouble heading their way.
