Alluring Ties is a sweet, sassy, and sexy read about Lexi’s two sidekicks – Bradi and Erik Skye Turner takes her readers back 7 years to shed some light on how the threesome became so close, why Erik was the guarded man he was, and how Bradi and Micah got together. The novella begins with Lexi, Erik, and Bradi’s first time meeting in college and brings readers up to date where Book Two, Alluring Seduction ends. The book is told in Bradi and Erik’s alternating points of view, so readers get firsthand knowledge of both characters back stories.
From the beginning of Alluring Turmoil, I knew that there was more to Bradi than a sassy mouth and a no bullshit attitude. Early on, she used that facade to protect herself, but when she meets Micah, he breaks down every single one of her walls and shows her what it’s like to be in love. Readers get to see how Bradi and Micah’s love story began, and even though they had to endure some tough times, their tale is definitely romantic and hot!
For a lot of readers, Erik has only been Lexi’s best friend…her partner at the bakery…her shoulder to lean on, but in Alluring Ties, we see a different side of Erik – the man who doesn’t love easily, but when he finds someone he wants to be with, he goes all in. Erik has loved and lost and that relationship and the devastation that follows is played out in the novella. It helps to make sense of his no strings attitude, and it makes it even more comforting that Erik finds what he needed with Alec.
I’m so glad that Skye decided to give readers an inside look at two amazing supporting characters of the Bayou Stix series. Lexi’s relationship with them and their importance to her is a big focus of Alluring Turmoil. I loved their interaction and banter in book one, and I always wanted to know Bradi and Erik’s back stories; in fact, I still want more;) Alluring Ties is fantastic addition to an amazing series. Can’t wait for Book Three!
