Blurb

All men have a wingman – it’s the bro code.

I’d like to say I fit into that code – only I am missing a certain long, hard member that automatically allows me entrance.

That doesn’t matter – because for him I’m the ultimate.

His wingman.

Well, in the grand scheme of things – his wing-woman.

Reign Braxton. Womaniser. Asshole. Douche of the century. Sexy as sin but as rule would have it – all sexy men have a problem.
Reign is still lusting after the one that got away.

Enter me. Wing woman of the century, make-ex-jealous extraordinaire.

It’s my job.

Why do I do it, you ask? Simple – money.
Reign’s obsession gives me a good lifestyle.

I am anything he wants me to be, all for a price of course.
But I go and do something incredibly stupid – I fall in love with my boss. My boss who is in love with his ex.

There are no prizes for second best.

Review

How can I not love a book that has one of the most well written heroines that I’ve read in a long time? The answer’s easy, I can’t. I loved Wingman. The storyline is fast paced. The banter between the main characters is laugh out loud funny, and the sex scenes are beyond hot. I consumed this book in a few hours because I just could not put it down.

Reign Braxton – “King of sex. Jealous. Possessive. Obsessed. Gorgeous. …mega asshole.”

This is Tia’s description of Reign early on in the story. She has the guy pegged from the very beginning, but there’s more to the arrogant man than just his bravado, and Tia quickly learns the type of person he truly is when she becomes his wingman. As the months pass and Tia works her magic to find women for Reign to bed, lines begin to blur, and what was once a crusade to make Reign’s ex-fiancée jealous and win her back becomes something completely different for Tia. Tia realizes that Reign’s ex, Selene (Slutena), is not who Reign claims she is and now Tia doesn’t want to be the “rich dude’s wingman” anymore, she wants to be his woman. But that’s easier said than done because despite Reign’s attraction to and feelings for Tia, he’s still living in the past and can’t seem to let go of his ex.

I loved Tia! She is who she is, and she doesn’t cower to anyone. She’s feisty, over the top, and her one liners will make anyone crack up. Sure there were times when I wanted to yell at her for allowing herself to be strung along by Reign towards the end of the book, but I think she put up with it because she knew Reign better than anybody and felt he would eventually see what was right in front of him. That doesn’t make her spineless or a doormat; it makes her trust the man she willingly gave her heart to in this messed up situation.

Reign’s struggle to let go of the past is clearly shown through his discussions with Tia and the little snippets of insight readers get into his mind. He and Selena were together for an extremely long time, so that’s hard to just forget, so I felt for the guy; it doesn’t mean I didn’t want to smack him up alongside the head for his methods of trying to forget Selena and his treatment of Tia when his feelings are so conflicted, but Bella Jewel did a great job of showing how things are not as cut and dry as people may want them to be when it comes to what the heart feels and wants.

Wingman is one fantastic romantic comedy with the perfect mix of angst, wit, and steam. I didn’t want the book to end and the cameos of Bella’s bikers and their old ladies was the perfect addition to a kickass story. Well done!
