Since the beginning of Charity and Justin’s story in Charity’s Warrior, readers have witnessed the extent the couple is willing to go to, to protect what’s theirs. Even at the onset, Justin/JP took command of every situation with Charity and worked to be her warrior in more ways than one; he saved her life and rescued her heart, nudging his way into every aspect of her life, and neither of them has been the same since, which is precisely why they work so well together. Their relationship has not been without its problems, whether it’s Justin’s compulsion to control all things involving Charity or Charity’s need to go behind Justin’s back to ensure him closure to his demons, they’ve struggled to see eye to eye on more than one occasion, but what hasn’t wavered his their need and passion for one another. That aspect of their relationship has never led them astray, and when all hell broke loose in Charity’s Secrets and culminates in the action packed third book, Charity’s Passion, the undying love that they feel for each other is ever more important as they hunt the person who is hunting them. It’s a killed or be killed situation, and one thing’s for sure, Justin will do whatever it takes to ensure Charity’s safety, even if it means putting his own life on the line.
Justin is an alpha hero to the extreme. It’s in his demeanor…it’s who he is at his core, and he relishes in playing that role. A lot of his need for control stems from his childhood and what he lost, but without that sense of power, he would be a loose cannon whose actions would wreak havoc on a lot of people’s lives. He takes calculated risks, which allows those close to him him to feel more at ease, knowing he won’t do anything to jeopardize his life without taking the proper precautions. Justin’s passion for Charity is expressed through his dominance and soothing touch in the bedroom and his protective nature outside of it, and that is clearly illustrated throughout the series, but especially in Charity’s Passion as he attempts to lure out those who are threatening his and Charity’s lives. Justin’s transformation from a playboy who is emotionally stunted to a one woman guy who demonstrates his love for her every day is perfectly shown in the final book of the series.
Charity has come a long one from the girl she was in Charity’s Warrior, and while she has Justin to thank for much of her growth, she has also taken on that challenge herself and fought through the fear and anxiety of a new environment, an attack, and many other threats along the way. She’s the perfect match for Justin because she knows when to push but also when to pull back and let him have his play. Her passion for him is just as over the top as his is for her, so they complement each other’s needs and wants. Charity needs control as well, albeit not as thoroughly as Justin does, but I loved seeing her badass demeanor come out and fight to protect the man she loves.
Charity’s Passion is the ultimate conclusion to a series that is immersed in ardor, suspense, and drama. It brings Charity and Justin’s relationship full circle, and while they have had to endure moments of devastation and heartbreak; ultimately, everything that has happened has made them the couple that they are – the one that will fight like hell for each other and sacrifice whoever and whatever to ensure that when everything is said and done, everyone understands what they mean to each other and what they’re willing to do to get their forever.

He’s going to be my husband.
Holy fuck!
I have so many questions and I’m afraid to ask them all and look like a desperate waif greedy for attention and control.
“You’re going to bubble over and short circuit if you don’t ask those questions on your mind,” Justin says suddenly. “I can see them all churning around in your head waiting for you to spit them out. It’s not healthy, or fair, to keep them all in.”
I lower my head. He’s right, of course, but I’m still worried about his reaction. Just asking me was such a huge leap for him.
“Okay,” he says through a deep breath. “I’ll guess my way through.”
He studies my face, looking straight through my eyes. I can almost feel him inside me rummaging around through my thoughts. “You want to know when; if I want a long or short engagement.”
“That’s the most obvious,” I tease.
Justin shrugs his shoulders. “Of course it is; did you think I was going to read your mind?”
Really, my snort-laugh did not need to be that loud, but just like Melissa and Trisha, Justin seems to only love it when it happens, and I’ve grown used to it in front of him.
“I’ll wait if you want, but I’d rather it be soon. I don’t want you to be able to get away from me so easily once you realize I’m not good enough for you,” he says, his large arm holding me just a little tighter as if I might decide to leave him now.
“That will not happen; you’re perfect for me. And I would like to marry you sooner too,” I tell him. “As soon as this Marker businesses is done, we’ll start planning.”
Justin agrees with a nod. “We can get married just as quickly as we can put together whatever kind of wedding you want. What do you want, Charity? Huge and elegant with hundreds of guests, or small and cozy with just our closest loved ones?”
He rolls over quickly, balancing himself on his elbows above me. “I will give you whatever you want; all you have to do is tell me.” His beautiful face dips closer to mine. “I want to give you everything. Tell me what you want.” He moves his mouth toward mine but pulls away just as I expect to feel him, studying me with my lips pursed and my eyes lightly closed. “You’re so beautiful; I love looking at you. I never feel as real in this world as I do when I’m with you. I’m only relevant because of you.”
Finally his lips crash into mine and the taste of his mouth ignites my passion. The strength of his impressive lips sends chills down my arms as I move my legs from under him, opening them for him to fall comfortably in between.
Slowly I move my hands up his body, tenderly enjoying him and his deliberate movements, the tilting of his head so that our mouths fit like a puzzle, a dangerously strong hand gently moving my hair, his well-controlled hips grinding into mine as if to some music I cannot hear. Both of us have been affected by the romance of the day and we are longing for a deep consummation of our love.
