Review
After all of the dark reads I’ve been reading lately, it felt good to dive into a book where there were minimal complications and the hero and heroine’s relationship was not dramatic or riddled in miscommunication or angst. Despite the fact that Andrew and Jocelyn fall into the insta-love category, Sucked Into Love demonstrates what happens when someone meets the right person – the person who they’d do anything to have and make theirs.
Andrew is a possessive alpha male who takes care of what’s his, and even though, up until this point, he hasn’t met anyone who he wants to do more than just have sex with, there’s something about Jocelyn that resonates with him. Their first brief encounter at one of his night clubs leaves him thinking about her all the time, even when he thinks he’ll never have her, so when he finally figures out that she’s available to be claimed, he doesn’t pull any punches; he takes action and makes his intentions known that she will be his.
Jocelyn didn’t have any easy childhood. The events of her past and her father’s actions towards her have left her with trust issues. For the past few years, her focus has only been on finishing school and starting a career that will fulfill her. Starting a relationship, especially with a possessive and domineering man, wasn’t something she was looking for, but it’s now something she can’t live without.
Overall, I enjoyed Andrew and Jocelyn’s story. It’s an uncomplicated, quick, steamy, and drama free read. I do wish readers got to understand a bit more about what made these characters tick and the plotline could have been a bit less predictable, but it’s a good choice for a day when readers need a feel good text that won’t make their brains hurt, but it will make their hearts swoon, and in typical Rochelle Paige fashion, Sucked Into You will have readers wanting a dirty talker of their own.

“Hi, Alec. I hope I’m not too early,” I heard a woman say softly after the sound of the door opening. Just the sound of her voice sent a chill up my spine.
“Not at all,” Alec replied. “Mom was just saying how excited she is you could come over before everyone else so she could catch up since it’s been so long
since she’s seen you.”
“How sweet. It’s hard to believe it’s been seven years already. I guess they’re right when they say time flies,” she replied
“And I told you that you didn’t need to bring anything,” he scolded her in a teasing tone as they moved close to the kitchen.
I stood up from the table and hadn’t even taken a step when they made it into the kitchen. Alec hadn’t been kidding when he’d said that she wasn’t a dude.
Jo, the girl my mom was urging my brother to ask out, was the caramel-haired beauty I hadn’t been able to get out of my mind since she was in my club. For her bachelorette party.
And then it hit me. My brother couldn’t ask her out because she was probably already married. It had been a little more than a month already. I glanced down at her ring finger and was shocked to find it bare. While I stood there in a stupor my mom had moved to give her a hug.

1. It was going to be my debut book until the idea for Push the Envelope smacked me upside the head and wouldn’t let go.
2. The idea for Andrew and Jocelyn to meet at a fake bachelorette party was inspired by… a fake bachelorette party during a girls road trip weekend.
3. I hadn’t planned on Jason being a major part of this series until he insisted he get his own story – and girl!
4. My favorite part of writing this book was the brainstorming session I had with my best friend many, many months ago.
5. The idea of a boarding school that was famous for some of it’s sports programs may sound far-fetched, but fact is sometimes stranger than fiction as there really is one in Indiana.
