When the woman he loves betrays him in one of the worst ways possible, there’s only one thing for Dominic Powers to do – take control of the situation and find answers as to why she blindsided him with such a huge break in trust in their relationship as Dom and submissive. But things are never as simple as they first seem, and through Sophia’s perspective, readers learn the truth of Harrison’s original plan for Dominic and her role in the betrayal as well as her decision to no longer follow through with their scheme to not only destroy Dominic’s credibility as a Dom but as a business man as well. Regardless of Sophia’s decision to no longer participate because she fell in love with Dominic, Harrison acts first, destroying any chance she has at getting her Dom to listen to her side of the story. What follows are extremely long and lonely weeks for Sophia – days and nights of tears and depression as well as fear that she’ll never be under her Dom’s command again.
Dominic isn’t fairing much better than Sophia is since this whole situation blew up. He’s angry and heartbroken, and he wants answers to a multitude of questions. Tucker and Shadow are attempting to put the puzzle pieces together and give Dominic the answers he desperately needs, but the mystery behind the murder attempts on his life as well as Sophia’s role in bringing him down but the only thing that’s clear is that there are more players in this game of destruction than Dom ever thought possible.
Dom is a force to be reckoned with in Her Dom’s Lesson, and once he finally hears Sophia out and learns the truth about her part in the plan and why she stopped working with Harrison, he works to not only repair the damage they caused to one another but also to protect them both from the threat that still threatens to destroy them.
Part two of Dom and Sophia’s story illustrates the dominant that Dominic truly is and the amount of strength that Sophia possesses as well. At the beginning of the text, Sophia has her work cut out for her to show the man that she loves that he can trust her with his heart, and she proves it to him through every obstacle they face and through allowing him to do his will with her body. Their steamy scenes together show exactly how much she trusts him and the faith she has in him that he will protect her at all costs. But there’s more at stake than just Sophia and Dom’s relationship; Harrison still wants his revenge and the suspense that’s created in the text as they await his next move makes it a page turner until all cards are on the table.
If you’re a reader who loves a hot alpha who knows how to command both in and outside of the bedroom then Dominic’s your man. He’ll show readers exactly why Sophia calls him Dom.
