Review
In typical Drew Evans fashion, Tied gives readers Drew’s thoughtful and comical insights, the ones only he can give, about parenthood, coupledom, and what the last two years have been like in managing his and Kate’s career with the expectations and demands of raising their son. It’s been an uphill battle to get Drew and Kate to this point in their relationship, and now they’re ready for the biggest step of all – marriage. But before the big day, Drew, Kate, and their gaggle of friends are headed to Sin City for a weekend of debauchery – not the old Drew version, but the new and improved changed by his woman kind – at least that’s the plan. But Las Vegas isn’t known for its tamed exploits and neither is Kate’s best friend Dee, so readers know it’s going to be two days of booze, strippers, and dancing. Let’s just hope Drew passes his last test with flying colors and gives Kate the happily ever after she deserves.
I loved Tied! It was the perfect ending for the man readers first met in Tangled – the manwhore with no conscience. To watch Drew change for Kate and turn into someone who loves her wholeheartedly but still keeps the parts of him that truly make him the unique alpha male that he is was one hell of a journey. Every off the cuff comment, both internally and externally, Drew expresses in Tied speaks to how much he has learned about life and love throughout the past years with Kate and now with his son, James. His tell it like it is commentary may not be appropriate at times, but it is always honest and it clearly shows how invested he is in the lives of his family and friends. What goes down in Vegas is raunchy and a bit awkward at times, but it also illustrates just how far Drew’s come, which is what readers wanted to see.
And when the big day arrives – man, it couldn’t have been written any better. Drew met the perfect match for him in Kate, and crazy enough, so did she. The words that they express to each other and the emotions behind them truly speaks to how much their lives are forever better due to Drew’s antics to make her is.
We lived…the same way we loved: with passion, tenderness, and laughter. And every day – every fucking day – to the very fullest. That’s all any of us can wish for!
Thank you, Emma Chase, for giving readers such a fantastic character in Drew. His point of view has to be my all time favorite male perspective in any book I’ve read. There’s just something about his snark and wit and no bullshit details that endures me to him and makes it easy to love him regardless of his antics and overreactions. The characters and storylines in the Tangled series make it pure comedic and sexy greatness!

“I hover over her, just close enough to caress her with my breath. “Fuck, Kate, the things I want to do to you…”
Her round, dark eyes drift over my face — filled with love and need. Docile and demanding at the same time.
“I’m yours, Drew.” She whispers. “You can do anything…everything.”
Does she understand what she’s offering? How badly I want to hear her voice, soaked with pleasure, screaming my name until it echoes off the hills around us?
Anything?
Oh, the possibilities.”
