Review
When I saw that Rochelle Paige was branching out to paranormal romance, I knew I needed to get my hands on it because she definitely knows how to write alpha males and steamy scenes and watching those same characteristics play out in the shifter world was right up my alley, and boy did she deliver!
From the start, readers witness Grace Shaw’s strength and perseverance. When she finds herself in an abusive relationship with no possible way out, she figures out a plan and makes her escape, starting over in a new town completely free to be herself again and live her life how she deems fit. Grace’s first order of business for her new life is to get a job, unbeknownst to her, landing her right in the path of an alpha wolf who will do anything to protect and claim his mate, even if it means allowing her to keep her distance until she’s ready.
Hunter Tate is 100% alpha, and he’s not afraid to show it. He’s domineering, overprotective, filthy mouthed and one sexy wolf. As soon as Hunter lays eyes on Grace and smells her scent, he’s done for, but he bides his time and allows Grace the space she needs to work past her old relationship and understand that the connection she feels with him is not going to go away. With Hunter’s help, Grace learns to trust again and he soothes her in a way that no one else can, which solidifies their bond. Now the only thing Hunter needs to do is reveal his secret and complete their mating, which hopefully won’t send Grace running.
Crying Wolf is one sexy novella. It’s a feel good story that illustrates how strong an instant connection can be when it’s the one they’ve both been waiting for. Rochelle Paige’s first foray into the paranormal genre is a fantastic read, and I can’t wait to see what happens with Hunter’s brothers and the women they’re fated to mate.

Then a pure, sweet scent drifted my way and my wolf wanted to know where it was coming from so he could roll around in it. Parker was looking over my
shoulder with a welcoming smile on his face. A growl crept up my throat at the flirty gleam in his eyes as I turned to see who had caught his attention.
She was the opposite of any woman I’d ever fucked in the past. Everything I’d thought I would never want. Her tiny frame looked practically breakable by
human standards, let alone a wolf’s. I had to be at least a full foot taller than she was and more than a hundred pounds heavier. She looked nothing like
our she-wolves, who were tall, lithe and athletic. But even though she was small, she had curves that were just begging to be touched.
Licked.
Sucked.
Bitten.
Her full breasts strained against the red fabric of the T-shirt she was wearing, the one with my brand stretched across her chest. The only thing that even
remotely resembled the women of my pack was the long, brown hair that flowed down her back and the brown eyes that blinked up at me. But even those were
better somehow. Her hair gleamed in the sun that streaked through the windows and her eyes held a softness I was unaccustomed to seeing. They also flashed
with awareness as chemistry arced between us. I heard her breath hitch as a blush crept up her neck and spread across her cheeks.
She ducked her head for a moment and took a deep breath before she looked up again. Only this time, her gaze didn’t meet mine as she smiled over my
shoulder at my brother. The beast inside me, who’d been howling in appreciation as I’d been staring at her, quickly turned to snarling at the sight of her
smiling for another man.
