While Katia works to find light in the darkness, Marcus and his “selfish fucked-up heart” is trying to pick up the pieces of his life in a way he never expected. He may have already been a damaged asshole, but his treatment of Katia and how he handled everything only further proves how truly messed up he is, and he understands, for once, how his actions have repercussions. Marcus is a monster, but he’s not a soulless one, and as readers witness the push and pull of his relationship with Katia play out in front of their eyes, they’ll clearly understand what’s underneath the brooding masochist.
‘Til Death, Volume 2 is an amazing read; it’s filled with devastatingly raw pain, heartbreak, and a multitude of fucked up mistakes on both sides that risk destroying more than just Katia and Marcus’ volatile relationship. Both characters act purely on emotion, and sometimes, that has devastating consequences, and Bella Jewel brilliantly illustrates those tenuous moments when right and wrong don’t matter and the only thing that does is retribution. There’s darkness in the characters’ psyches and that is put on display in volume 2 so much so that readers will be left wondering throughout the read when their suffering will finally end. All I can say is ride out the darkness and wait for Bella Jewel to bring you and her characters into the light!
