Less than six months ago my life was twisted and flipped on its side. Things have changed so much I barely recognize myself anymore.
I am no longer an Enforcer.
I am no longer a Witch.
I no longer hate the Fae. (For the most part)
And the sex-on-a-stick-gorgeous-Fae? He isn’t really the Dark Prince.
No, he is the father of my children and with the babies on the way, the land dying and the Mages closing in; alliances will have to be formed if we are all to make it through the war that is coming to our front door.
Between warring Gods and Goddesses, how are any of us supposed to win?

Review
Destiny has to be won; it has to be fought for…it can’t be enticed or forced into giving you what you want, and no one knows that better than Synthia in Amelia Hutchins exhilarating and highly addictive Fae Chronicles series.
Fight
As an enforcer, Syn learned to battle with everything inside of her…she defended the defenseless and worked against the paranormal enemies threatening to take over and that need to guard, protect, and fight has exemplified exponentially with the new demands that she faces ever since fate set her on her destined path. In Seducing Destiny, Synthia has even more to lose, and she steps up even more than before, taking her rightful place at Ryder’s side and in the Faery world.
Syn transforms in book four in more ways than one, and each transformation provides her with the strength she needs to internally and externally battle the Mages, her insecurities and the other forces that want to bring down the Fae and take over.
Taunt
Everything Synthia has ever wanted is almost within her grasp and that’s exactly what is threatening to undo her. All the hell that she and Ryder have been through continues to pull them in all kinds of directions. But if destiny is going to mess with her, she’s going to give it all right back to it, figuratively flipping fate off and sneering at it.
Synthia’s internal strength has always been there, but in Seducing Destiny, even at her lowest and most let down, she gathers everything inside of herself and does what she needs to in order to get what she wants with little regard for what it will do to her in the end.
Escape
There’s really no escaping what the Mages and her brother have already put in motion, but with her Fairy by her side, Synthia’s going to figure out a way to prevent the enemy from succeeding.
In my opinion, Seducing Destiny’s focus is more on the character development of Syn and Ryder and the bond that they have forged with one another than anything else. The action readers have grown accustomed to in the series is still there, and there are several moments of high intensity that will have readers trying to wrap their heads around how everything will work out for the dirty talking Faery and his Queen, but in order for all of the characters to move forward and to transition to the next phase of the Faery world and everything that needs to occur in order for Faery to survive, there has to be a clear foundation set, which occurs in this book.
Synthia’s courage and determination changes Ryder and that is clearly illustrated in this section of their story. Readers get to see another side of Ryder – the side that Syn brings out of him with her actions and what happens to her, and this is what I’ve been waiting for since the beginning of their connection. At his core, Ryder remains the arrogant, darkened Horde King, but when he’s alone with Syn and realizes the depth of his feelings for her, their destiny seems solidified. Even though I would have liked to understand his changes a bit more from his point of view, I needed to witness Ryder open up a bit and give back to Synthia everything she’s willingly given to him since she understood how much he means to her.
I’m still left with a ton of questions about how Ryder and Synthia and the Elite Guard are going to proceed against the Fae and everything with Ristan, my very favorite demon, is left wide opened, but I really enjoyed this installment of the Fae Chronicles series. The world Amelia Hutchins created is enchantingly vivid, and it’s a mixture of all of the good and evil that exists in the world, even in the supernatural form. I’ve grown to love so many of the characters in the series because Hutchins molds and transforms them right before readers’ eyes, seducing us, in a way. I’m so glad that there are spin offs in the works for some of the supporting characters because they are an intriguing lot even as secondary characters, so it will be eye opening to see them in all of their glory as main characters.
This is a series that consistently leaves readers wanting, which may be a bit frustrating but it points to a skillful writer and a kickass storyline, which is exactly what Amelia Hutchins delivers time and time again.
I cannot wait to head back to Faery world!!

“Synthia, you’re immortal now and time is something you have in abundance. Ristan also suggested we get you some books on mothering, and birthing as well. He also said to give you this,” Darynda whispered wickedly as she glamoured a doll.
“A doll?” I asked confusion stamped on my face. She handed me the small newborn doll which immediately started shrieking with an ear piercing cry the moment I held it. “How the hell do you shut it off?” I shouted over the wailing thing that I held up by its leg.
“Try cuddling with it, Flower,” Ristan said from the door before I turned a horrified look up at him.
“You ass,” I growled as I tried to comfort the doll and failed. I had zero knowledge of how to calm a screaming baby; it wasn’t as if we had child raising classes at the Guild.
“Here, like this,” he said as he sifted to the bed and took hold of the doll. “Gentleness is universal. Even Fae babes love a cuddle to feel secure, smart little things also like breasts.”
I lifted a brow as he swaddled the doll in a blanket he glamoured, and rocked the life like doll in his arms. It instantly stopped crying and made gentle mewling sounds. I groaned. “I’m going to be the worst mother, possibly ever known to Fae and mankind alike.”
