SYNOPSIS
Evie Bishop grew up loving Kick Hanson. He loved her, too. They were inseparable. Best friends who looked out for each other. Until the day scandal hit their families and ripped everything apart, changing the course of all their lives.

Relentless ~ oppressively constant; incessant; hard or inflexible
The term epitomizes not only Evie Bishop and Kick Hanson’s feelings towards each other, but also the deep seated emotions, concerns, and oppressive thoughts that have plagued them ever since their parents’ marriages imploded, and they had to deal with the repercussions.

Relentless feelings of inadequacies and tormented regret

Relentless pursuit of meaning enough…of not being defined by her parents’ sins and their wayward mistakes
Evie’s sense of self has been persecuted since she was young and bullied, and her low self-esteem was only bolstered by Kick’s inability to give himself completely over to her. Time and again, Evie has been knocked down by those who are supposed to love her, leaving her fighting for relationships where the only one truly all in, at least from her perspective, is her.
Kick
Persistent belief that his biker world will harm Evie and that he’s not good enough for her due to his actions for the club is what prevents him from completely claiming her even when she’s been the only thing he’s ever wanted. But his need for Evie is unyielding, and when Kick sets his mind to something, he’s all in, and this time around, he’s not letting Evie go.
Nina Levine does a great job of showing both Evie and Kick’s struggles to accept the past and realize that they are worthy of love and deserve the kind of love that only they can give to each other. The ease of their relationship and their unyielding, electric connection is expressed through their filthy mouths in the bedroom and Evie’s ability to give Kick exactly what he needs to pull himself out of his head and the darkness that invades it.
Evie and Kick’s love for each other has always been there, persistently calling to them, despite the time, distance, or pain they put each other through, and even though it took a tragedy to reunite them and force them to realize the mistakes of their parents…of their past can only define them if they allow them to, that realization is understood, and it’s life changing.
Relent is a great start to the Sydney Storm MC series, and I can’t wait to see more alpha bikers brought to their knees by the women who vow to love them.
