Blurb
From New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Nicole Edwards comes the seventh book in her Alluring Indulgence series, erotic romances featuring the Walker brothers from Coyote Ridge, Texas, and their sizzling-hot love interests.
Sawyer Walker has never run into problems with women. The female population tends to swarm toward him, in fact, and he’s never had a complaint.
But there’s one woman Sawyer has always had his eye on. A woman who won’t give him the time of day. In recent months, it would seem that Kennedy Endsley is opening up to Sawyer, but she’s got a few surprises in store for him. Because, as hard as she finds it to resist the handsome Walker brother, she won’t give in easily. Not when her heart is on the line.

Review
If there’s one thing readers have learned about Sawyer Walker in the first 6 books of Nicole Edwards’ Alluring Indulgence series, it’s that he’s willing to work for anything – food, sex, his family…there isn’t anything that Sawyer couldn’t/wouldn’t do at least once;) And when it comes to finding the one person for himself…the one person who can complete his life in a way that his work, his adventures, even his family can’t accomplish, he’ll willingly put himself out there in order to prove to her that he’s so much more than the superficial asshole that he once was.
Kennedy Endsley knows all about the Walker brothers, especially Sawyer. In high school, Sawyer was friends with all of the immature boys who made her life a living hell, and while Sawyer never was the one to instigate the bullying, he didn’t do anything to stop the torment, solidifying Sawyer’s spot in her asshole category. And, even now, 8 years later, Kennedy’s not willing to give him the time of day regardless of how much her body yearns to be touched by him.
Kennedy still sees him as the superficial manwhore he once was, refusing to accept that he could have grown up and changed into a man she would willingly want to be around. Scars like the ones Kennedy wears are not easy to shed, and even though she’s made something of herself and kept her vow to show the people of Coyote Ridge just what she’s made of, the only thing she can remember is the way Sawyer and his friends made her feel day in and day out all those years ago.
One thing about Nicole Edwards’ writing that I love is the way she develops her characters and provides readers with a multi-dimensional view of who they are at their core. Sawyer has always been presented as the protector of the Walker family – the carefree guy who does whatever it takes to take care of those he loves. We still get that in his book, but we also see that Sawyer is so much more than that; just like every other Walker brother, he’s dynamic and flawed and allows people to only see so much beneath his life of the party persona, which is absolutely why Kennedy kept her distance for all those years and refused to give him the time of day.
Another amazing aspect of the Alluring Indulgence series is that it is a Walker family affair in each and every book. Yes, there is a central Walker man and the woman and/or man he wants to claim, but each and every member of the Walker family plays a pivotal role in the development of the story line, whether it’s in the advice they give or their interaction/connection with the couple – the bond shared amongst the Walker clan adds such depth to the text that without them, it definitely wouldn’t allow for the same feelings to be felt regardless of the main characters.
Sawyer is another phenomenal read from the creative and entertaining mind of Nicole Edwards. This book is so much more than your run of the mill romance; it addresses issues that a lot of writers shy away from or only gloss over, and the hot sex is not merely there is entice readers – it illustrates the connection of the characters and the feelings that are just waiting to be said out loud.
With Brendon being the only Walker brother left, I’m anxious to see where Nicole Edwards is going to take the Walker family – maybe to their cousins? Wherever they go, I’m there!
