Off Duty

Love is love is the overpowering theme in Sawyer Bennett’s Off Duty where a second chance at love is exactly what Tim Davis and Holly Reynolds needs to get over their mutual heartbreak from what could have been and focus on what is now. I loved how Tim and Holly worked through their past and found the feelings that they had once had for each other were still simmering under the surface ready to be freed and experienced many years later where they could actually fight for one another.

Rebound

Sam deserved his own happiness after getting is heart stomped on by Izzy Gallo and what better place to go than the Big Easy to drown his sorrow and find someone to make him forget, even just for a little while. But Fate seemed to have something else up her sleeve when Sam meets Fiona and their sizzling connection takes them beyond the filthy sex talk and into something that will irrevocably change Sam’s future for the better.

Sam and Fiona’s story is a down and dirty novella that proves that instant attraction can turn into so much more.

Wanting to Forget

This is the story that had me in knots the entire time reading. Jordie Thomas heads to New Orleans to forget the woman who’s burrowed herself into his mind and heart but still refuses to give her full access, so he does the only thing he knows and pushes Kacey King away by getting as many woman under him as possible. Too bad Jordie’s normal routine doesn’t stop the memories or the feelings he has, which only makes him try harder to remove every aspect of her from his life.

Frustration is the main emotion I felt throughout Wanting to Forget. I wanted Jordie to get his shit together and realize that Kacey was worth the risk. Now, I’m going to have to wait until Jordie and Kacey’s story continues, which only further fuels my frustration but in a good way;)

Closet Confession

Kindle Alexander can do no wrong in my eyes except when the stories end. Justin and Derek’s story is incredibly sweet and sexy and once again proves the assertion that love is love regardless of sexual orientation; no one should be afraid to show the world what s/he feels about his/her significant other and the ending of Closet Confession gives hope to everyone to be loud and proud about who they love!

Healing Touch

What a perfect title for Joss and Carson’s story – two lost strangers who seem to find solace in each other’s arms. This tale gives new meaning to allowing a Magic 8 ball to decide one’s fate. Healing Touch is flirty, dirty, and sweet, which makes it a great read.

Swimming in Shadows

That about sums up Neil Ryan’s current life and the hunt he’s on to find answers to long unanswered questions. But despite the darkness that surrounds him, Neil will do whatever it takes to gets the responses he wants. This prequel to the newly released Shadows and Lies gives the backstory for why Neil’s doing what he’s doing and what’s in store for him as he tries to untangle the web of lies and secrets that are set in front of him. It’s a mysterious and complex storyline that, I suspect, will slowly begin to unravel as the series continues.

What a fantabulous compilation of sexy and sweet stories all written for a cause that is near and dear to so many people. I adore every one of these authors and I love that I was able to get another story from their brilliant and creative minds.
