Synopsis
With a famous NHL player for a step-brother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation many hockey stars come with. She’s smart enough to steer clear of those hot, well-built boys with unparalleled stamina. That is until she meets the legendary team captain—Alex Waters.
Violet isn’t interested in his pretty, beat-up face, or his rock-hard six-pack abs. But when Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet’s previous misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes more than just a hot body with a face to match.
In what can only be considered a complete lapse in judgment, Violet finds out just how good Alex is with the hockey stick in his pants. But what starts out as a one-night stand, quickly turns into something more. Post-night of orgasmic magic, Alex starts to call, and text, and e-mail and send extravagant—and quirky—gifts, making him difficult to ignore, and even more difficult not to like.
The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game

Review
Puck Me! I absolutely loved this story; it’s raunchy, sexy, and quirky, and it has a swoon worthy hero with a monster cock and a heroine who is completely unfiltered.
Alex Waters is a hockey player with a womanizing reputation that is based solely on presumptions and hearsay. But the Alex readers meet and Violet falls for is nothing like the media reports or her preconceived notions. He’s a man who sees what he wants and takes the steps to claim it, regardless of the pressures of his travel schedule, his agent, and Violet’s fears. Alex is the total package, and he works hard to prove to Violet that he can trust her and that she’s so much more than a hockey hooker, which is exactly what she feared she was from the beginning.
Violet Hall thinks she knows everything there is to know about hockey players – she’s been there done that and refuses to be played by another hockey whore again. But Alex Waters obliterates all of her presumptuous assertions no matter how much she reads into every word he says and action he makes. Violet’s mouth to brain connection isn’t something that works too well, which is exactly what I love about her. It makes for some very interesting and laugh out loud situations that are both unusual and crass, and when Alex gets into the mix, it’s both hot and outrageous at the same time.
Hockey and humor are my kryptonite, so when I saw that Helena Hunting was writing a romantic comedy with a hockey player hero and a heroine who is both awkward and awesome at the same time, I knew this was going to be a book for me, and I WAS NOT wrong! Add in the smutty deliciousness that comes with Alex and Violet’s sexy scenes and the dual points of view the story is told through and Pucked checks off all the things I look for in a book. It’s a fabulous read that will have readers blushing, laughing, and cheering for Violet’s cooter and Alex’s cock monster finding their happily ever after;)
