The Savage Angels MC definitely proves that the biker lifestyle is not for everyone and that drama and mayhem on a daily basis is just part of living wild and free. Throw a rock star into the mix with her own set of crazy fans and stalkers and havoc’s going to reign, especially in a small town where everyone knows everyone else’s business and the only safety felt is to be on guard and ready for anything.Kathleen Kelly creates her rocker/MC world with a significant amount of suspense, steam, and conflict, taking readers inside the minds of the hero/heroine as well as the other key players involved, so readers get a comprehensive look at the situation and understand what’s at stake for more than just the main characters, and while for the most part, I enjoy the multiple views Kelly provides, in Savage Town, the various voices/insights left me feeling like there was an incomplete picture of everything that occurred before Kat and Dane’s wedding. Don’t get me wrong, I love being able to gain insight into both sides of the drama, but there were so many points of view that I didn’t get the full glimpse that I wanted. But maybe that’s the point – things don’t happen instantaneously…there’s a process and planning involved, and I understand that and don’t want the author to rush through, but I would have still liked a bit more depth and understanding into who, what, and why everything went down the way it did.
Despite my desire for a closer look, I still enjoyed the drama, steam, and chaos that always ensues when the Savage Angels get involved, and I’m still interested in finding out what else happens with the other MC members because I know whatever it is, it’s going to bring trouble and interesting characters with it.
