Blurb
No ache greater than grief.
No sound greater than silence.

I’m grateful he showed up on my doorstep,
pissed off and angry at the world.
If he hadn’t, I wouldn’t be here.
And I don’t just mean here on this journey with him.
I mean here, in this world.

I wonder what events in all our lives—hers included—are The Turning Points? The points where we all determine that the fear of our pasts and the uncertainty of our futures are greater than our need for happiness.
Here.
Now.
While time and everything around us stands unmoving… who’s to say we can’t have it all?
***
We wanted it all.
We wanted it with each other.
We thrived on the chaos we created.
And ignored the Mayhem that ensued.
Because falling in love was easy.
But sometimes, love isn’t enough.
Review
Dylan,
I didn’t know what to expect from your story but then I should have known it would be something amazing because the quiet ones always have the most to say but they feel as if their actions are more important.
I have to admit…there were times as I read the text that I didn’t like you very much…I couldn’t understand how you worked so hard to prove that other people were enough but then you took that idea away from them when you got lost in your silence not listening to the words that had always been there.
I’m so glad you found your calm even though you had to fight your demons and your anger in order to get it. Through the fear, guilt, and grief, you found your way back and the silence no longer unhinged you and the voices allowed you to move on.
Lance Corporal Banks, you are truly a remarkable man – one of Mayhem, of silence, of honor – and you are definitely ENOUGH!
Jay,
I used to 100% agree with the idea that actions speak louder than words, but in the case of your storytelling, I have to disagree. Your words bring so much meaning to so many lives…whether it is having red letter days or coasting through life, the messages of your stories resonate with so many readers, which truly illustrates the power of your words and the remarkable gift you have as a writer.
Your MORE men and women are an amazing group of people who have each other’s backs regardless of the situation and that is what makes them family not only to each other but to your readers as well.
Thank you for sharing your gift with us and I hope you know how deeply your words affect the people who read them!
