. . . Liar, Liar
Makenna Banks is a 28-year-old, independent, professional woman who spends her days seeking the truth for her clients. She is tenacious and fuelled by events in her past, determined to bring hidden secrets into the light.
. . . Pants On Fire
Thrust into a life he didn’t imagine for himself, but unable to escape it, Benny Duncan immerses himself in his job to avoid his home life. With his future mapped out for him from birth by a pair of controlling parents, more concerned about their social stature, than the happiness of their only son, he always knew he was destined for this life. It doesn’t mean he likes it, though.
. . . Nose As Long
In her search for the truth, Makenna has to put herself in sometimes-dangerous positions, going above and beyond for her clients. But what happens when a situation is not all it seems? What happens when love is thrown into the mix?
. . . As A Telephone Wire.
To do her job properly, Makenna has to get involved, but not too involved. It’s a fine line that she has managed to never cross. Until now. Until him. Benny Duncan will turn her inside out, changing the world as she knows it. She maybe powerful in all other aspects of her life, but Makenna is powerless against the biggest factor of all; true love.

Review
Deception. Manipulation. Fabrication.
These words embody what Makenna Banks has to do in order to complete the job she’s been tasked to do by her client. But as much as her job means to her, as she decisively plays her role, she finds herself not only lying to her target, Benny Duncan, but also to herself in respect to the underlying reasons as to why she’s “acting” and reacting to her time with him.
Benny also lives a life of lies, but he is the only one who seems to be suffering. By allowing his life to be controlled by his influential parents, he’s had to bury the man he truly is and live a life of deception, existing as a puppet because he couldn’t force his life in a different or he risked losing more than just his marital status.
But what happens when Makenna and Benny’s lies uncover important truths? What happens when they would rather live in a manipulated reality together than in the real world apart?
People always say that there are always three sides to every story – his side, her side, and the truth, and that is exactly what Kasey Millstead gives readers in Liar, Liar, but when every lie and manipulation is revealed, where will Makenna and Benny end up – ready to create a real relationship outside of the deceit or is their deception too much to overcome?
Liar, Liar illustrates how lies of omission are just as destructive as outright lies because the dishonesty actually seems worse in the eyes of those who trusted you. Kasey Millstead definitely came up with an interesting and unique story line, and although it didn’t completely work for me because I couldn’t understand why/how Makenna’s tasks could go as far as they did and some parts didn’t seem to fit into the big picture in terms of the story line, I still enjoyed it because the connection between Benny and Makenna sizzled from the start and helped readers understand Benny’s choices and why he finally reached a point that he could act and no longer worry about the repercussions.
