The sectors will never be the same…
Adrian Maddox fled his royal life—and tragic past—in Sector One, choosing instead to join up with the O’Kanes. For years, he’s lived by one rule: love fast, love hard, and always be willing to walk away. He’s managed to guard his heart, keep it whole and untouched—until now.
They couldn’t be more different—Dylan, the brilliant, burned-out doctor from Eden who drowns his pain with drugs and self-destruction. Scarlet, the sensuous, sexy rocker from Three, a woman unafraid to embrace the world. And Jade, the whore turned spy from Sector Two, who battled addiction and came out stronger than anyone he’s ever met.
Separately, they make Mad long to open his heart, to tumble head-first into a sea of possibilities and wild love. Together, they make him burn, inside and out, with lust and unbearable, unimaginable pleasure.
Then one fateful moment shakes their world to its foundations—and leaves the sectors on the verge of all-out war with Eden. It’s the biggest fight the O’Kanes have ever faced, and Mad and his lovers are at the dead center of it. They could end up with everything they never knew they wanted—or lose it all. Including their lives.

Review
What goes beyond ruined? It’s a difficult question to answer especially when it comes to the different Sectors and the people who fled Eden because they were seen as tainted, undeserving, or unwanted. But here’s the thing, for Jade, Scarlet, Dylan and Mad, they were ruined by the very people that casted them aside or forced them to play a role – one where they lost themselves and felt like they could never regain who they were before or start over and become someone quite unlike the person those in power created simply to abuse and use as they saw fit.
Beyond Ruin is exactly where all four of the main characters of book 7 are as they work to regain some of their old selves and find out exactly what they’re made of and what they’re willing to risk for love and for the O’Kanes. Each one of them has jagged edges that have been continuously manipulated, but what they need to figure out is how those four pieces fit together and fuse into a relationship that is anything but ruined – what it is, is beyond adored…beyond worshipped…beyond pleasure.
Amidst the struggle for control, submission, love, and letting go between our heroes and heroines, another war has gained ground…a revolution that hopes to put an end to Eden’s reign, but it’s also one that could destroy the very existence of the Sectors and leave an immense amount of people homeless and starved. But the revolution’s numbers are growing, and they’re finding ways to beat Eden at their own game of manipulation and deception, but if there’s anything that readers have learned about Eden since the beginning of the series, it’s that they don’t fight fair and they’ll do whatever it takes to remain on top regardless of who and what they have to destroy and ruin to get there.
The two story lines that exist in Beyond Ruin flow seamlessly together because as the war heats up so does the connection between Jade, Scarlet, Mad, and Dylan. There are high risks in both battles but to me, the one that could be the most life altering is the relationship of four very different people who look to one another to fill the holes in their heart, their minds, and their souls, and the fact that they are trying to figure things out as the battle rages on correlates extremely well with the tenuous situation that the Sectors find themselves in. But it’s a fight that the leaders of the Sectors and the four lovers are willing to fight because no matter the danger, the things they get in return are beyond worth the pain and chaos that they have to wade through to get to a place where they control their own lives and are given the right to decide their own actions and obligations.
At the end of Beyond Ruin, Mad, Dylan, Jade, and Scarlet have found something to fight for beyond their freedom; they’ve let go, as much as they can, of their self-loathing and self-destructive tendencies, allowing their shame and brokenness to be cared for by three other people who can worship and give them enough pleasure in order to find a new purpose for their lives other than being a spy, a seductress, a healer, and a prince.
The revolution has only just begun, and it’s unclear if the Sectors or Eden will be the victor, but what is clear is that nothing will ever be the same but whether or not that’s a positive or a negative is still under debate.
