From the author of the New York Times bestselling Bad Boys novels comes another dark, sexy story…
Is she brave enough to give her heart to a man she only thought she knew?
He was the most charismatic man I’d ever met. Strong, tough, brave. Bold as hell. Something told me Tag Barton could have anything—anyone—he wanted…and he wanted me. It didn’t matter that he was wrong for me in practically every way possible. It didn’t matter that my father would hate it.
I couldn’t resist him. Even if I’d known who he really was and what he was really capable of.
When he suggested we pretend to be engaged, I thought he was the answer to all my problems. He wasn’t. And, in his wake, he left nothing but scorched earth and me, just another casualty of my father’s war.
Can I believe him now when he tells me he loves me? Or is he nothing more than a beautiful, breathtaking lie?

Review
Anything worth having comes with risks…
But the decision that needs to be made is if people are brave enough to put everything on the line…to throw caution to the wind…to get down and dirty in order to get what they want regardless of the fallout…regardless of the fact that everything can be lost if something doesn’t work out the way it was envisioned to because the true test of bravery is enduring despite the fact that what they never saw coming is exactly what they drove away by their actions.
Tag Barton and Weatherly O’Neal come from two different worlds – hers is one filled with class distinction and pedigree and his is more blue collar and hard labor. But when Weatherly heads to her family’s vineyard, Chiara, she finds herself in Tag’s domain – a place where passion and emotions are intimately tied together and being brave is essential to feel how life is truly meant to be lived and understand how love is supposed to be all-consuming.
Tag Barton is definitely dangerous to women’s “hearts, minds, and panties,” so it’s easy to understand why Weatherly succumbs to her desire for him regardless of how wrong he seems to be for her. Weatherly has always been the cautious woman, never acting without understanding the outcome, but when she’s with Tag, she doesn’t think beyond how he lights her up from the inside and makes her feel more than she’s ever felt about anyone else.
But there are secrets and hidden agendas that threaten to reduce Tag and Weatherly’s relationship to nothing but one created due to ulterior motives, and despite Weatherly’s feelings for Tag and his ability to make her feel fully alive and completely consumed by him, she just might not be strong enough to fight for what they have if his reasons for being with her are anything but pure.
Brave Enough is a great read the proves that even being brave can complicate situations. Tag and Weatherly are both strong, multifaceted characters who readers get to know through their dual perspectives, and because of that understanding, it’s easy to see why they quickly fall for one another and end up deeply invested in a relationship that started for all the wrong reasons. Despite how others view Tag, he is an amazing man who only wants to do right by his mother and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to ensure she’s taken care of, even if it means losing the one thing he never thought he would want but now can’t live without.

“Brave Enough was everything that I could have wanted in this final installment of the series. It had heat, chemistry, romance, raw characters and of course a little drama thrown into the mix to give readers a full spectrum of what it means to TRUST and LOVE. From the first to the very last page, M. Leighton had me devouring this book in one sitting and left a permanent smile on my face as she set hearts ablaze with this beautiful, heartfelt, and wholesome love story.” ~Michelle from Four Chicks Flipping Pages
“Of all the books in the series, this one is probably my favorite. The storytelling that Leighton does felt so effortless and the characters are ones that complement each other so well, so you can’t help but root for them. Now that we say goodbye to the Tall, Dark, and Dangerous men, I’m curious to see where M. Leighton will go next!” ~ Candy from Prisoners of Print

Possessed of an overactive imagination from early in her childhood, Michelle finally found an acceptable outlet for her fantastical visions: literary fiction. Having written over a dozen novels, these days Michelle enjoys letting her mind wander to more romantic settings with sexy Southern guys, much like the one she married and the ones you’ll find in her latest books.
