Rand Bishop’s dreams of Olympic gold were shattered years ago but he’s left that all behind, settling into a new career and lifestyle that would make any man jealous. While he may not be competitively racing down the ski slopes anymore, he’s just as happy getting his rocks off as a Fantasy Maker for The Silo.
He’s good at what he does.
Damn good.
But while life couldn’t be better for Rand, it seems to be falling apart for Catherine Lyons Vaughn, the dark haired, brown-eyed beauty that has captivated an entire sex club.
Having spent years degrading herself on her husband’s whim and now left destitute after his death, Catherine has hit rock bottom. With nothing but her body to peddle, Catherine is merely trying to figure out how to survive in a harsh, cruel world. Lucky for her, Rand has taken her under his tattooed wing, and he’s determined to give her a safe life where she can be the woman she was always meant to be.
Now all Catherine has to do is believe she deserves the chance.

Review
The Silo is supposed to be a place of fantasy…a place of kinky fuckery…a place to express one’s sexual freedom. And, at times, Catherine “Cat” Lyons felt alive and free during her time there, but other times, she felt used and dirty, farmed out to any and every man that her so-called husband wanted to give her to in order to demean her and arouse himself.
Rand Bishop loves sex, and as a part-time fantasy maker at the Silo, he’s been with Catherine on a number of occasions, always getting off on their encounters and reveling in Cat’s ability to let herself give into her inner desires. But what Rand wasn’t aware of was that Cat’s time at the Silo was for her husband not for herself, and now that he’s gone and left her destitute, Rand’s going to learn all there is to know about Cat Lyons – the survivor who did what she needed to do in order to keep living even if it meant selling her body and her dignity to survive.
Sawyer Bennett’s Wicked Horse series is all about sexual awakening and experimentation. But Wicked Need takes the kink even further, most of it sensual and erotic, but there are also undertones of the dark deeds Cat had to do because her husband owned her, and that sexual dichotomy illustrated in the story was absolutely essential to understand that sometimes the fantasy is actually a nightmare.
Rand and Cat enter the real world outside of the Silo, and Rand steps up in big ways for her, showing her that her past choices and experiences do not need to define her and that he sees her as someone worthy of love and affection, and the fact that she has so much to offer him and those around her.
It’s clear as the story continues that Rand and Cat’s sexual encounters left them both sexually satiated, and now as they spend more time together and get to know one another, both in and outside of the bedroom, their need for each other goes beyond physical, so where that leaves them is a bit up in the air because Rand hasn’t wanted anything more than sex in quite some time and Cat doesn’t feel worthy of someone as fantastic and honorable as Rand.
I absolutely loved Rand Bishop and his white-knight complex. From the very beginning of the story, he gives everything that he is to protect and take care of Cat. He doesn’t use her for her body or take advantage of her in any way. He’s an honorable and trustworthy man who can turn a woman on with just one smoldering look and exploring what’s working between them is definitely something that he wants to do, but he knows that Cat is in a bad place, so he begins with chasing away her demons and proving to her how truly worthy she is.
Sawyer Bennett’s Wicked Series continues to be a highly erotic and decadent one that allows its characters to express their sexual needs and desires in a manner that they find both pleasurable and freeing. But it also goes beyond the sexual experiences that take place at the Silo because the books also illustrate the other wants and needs that the hero and heroine find in each other.
