It’s easy to see why Addy Mae Masterson can’t help but get attached to Beau McCrae because underneath his bad boy exterior is a man who’s struggling to find his way apart from a complicated past and a present that he just can’t help but mess up with one too many drinks…one too many women…one too many bad decisions. But when Addy’s assigned as his babysitter and she refuses to accept his bullshit and his cocky attitude, Beau realizes that he’s the man he wants to be when he’s with Addy and as long as she’s willing to put up with him and give him room to make a few misjudgments, he just might find the one sugary sweet woman who makes him want to be more than the media has portrayed him to be and more than the troubled man who he’s convinced himself he is. 


It’s never a good idea to mix business with pleasure, but as Mandi Beck builds on Beau and Addy’s sexual attraction, bringing them together for more than just business meetings, it’s not a matter of if but when they’ll finally give into the sizzling chemistry between them, not only running the risk of Addy getting her heart broken but also making it difficult for one of Hard Candy Music’s newest clients to step out of line because hurting Addy means hurting her friends and since they’re the ones responsible for Beau’s career, he best make sure he doesn’t piss any of them off, which is easier said than done with Beau’s track record and the way he lashes out when he’s scared and distracted. 

Mandi Beck has created one intelligent, beautiful, and truly capable heroine, but even though Addy’s a ball buster, she also have a softer, more sensitive side and that’s the one she fears when it comes to her attraction to Beau. It’s easy to understand why Addy gets attached to people; she loves with all that she is and when she’s invested…it’s pretty much all or nothing and while that can definitely be a detriment when it comes to the men in her life; her hardcore feelings show how truly special she is.  

Despite the mess that Addy and Beau create for themselves by crossing a line they probably shouldn’t have, in the big picture, it’s probably what allows Beau to admit some difficult truths about his past and it’s also what helps Beau to realize what made him the bad boy of country music and then take the steps to change his ways not only for the potential woman in his life but for himself too! 

I’d gladly do the watermelon crawl and go to ‘church’ with Beau McCrae because with his lyrical voice, sinfully hot body, and his bad boy ways, there’s no telling what trouble he’ll stir up and if it’s of the naked variety then I’m definitely in.

Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer.
