Synopsis

From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel.

It was the summer of my life.

I’d met the guy of my dreams.

Unfortunately, he was the son of my uppity employer—and very much off-limits.

But Gavin was a rebel. He knew his mother would disown him if she found out about us; in his eyes, we just had to be careful.

He never treated me as his mother did—like hired help.

Instead, Gavin put me on a pedestal and loved me harder than I’d ever been loved in my life.

What a summer it was.

Until it all ended—badly.

I was never supposed to see Gavin again.

That didn’t stop me from thinking about him every day for ten years.

I knew little about his life now, just that he was an entrepreneur living an ocean away.

When a twist of fate had me working again in the very place our love affair started a decade earlier, I knew it was only a matter of time before I might see him again.

But I wasn’t prepared.

What if he hated me?

What if he loved someone else now?

I wasn’t prepared for all the unknowns.

And most of all, I wasn’t prepared for today to be the day he came back.

REVIEW AND EXCERPT: SUPERFAN by Sarina Bowen

Sometimes lady luck shakes your hand, and sometimes she smacks your face. Sometimes she does both on the same day.

Three years ago I met the most amazing woman. We were both down on our luck. Then I got that call—the one that tells you to get your buns on a plane to go meet your destiny.

But the girl was left behind. I didn’t have her phone number, and she didn’t know my real name.

While I became a professional hockey player, she became a superstar, with platinum records and legions of fans. And a slick, music producer boyfriend who treated her badly.

But fate wasn’t done with us yet. When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date.

She might not remember me. But her jerkface ex does. He’ll do anything to keep us apart.

Good thing athletes never give up. This time I’m playing for keeps.

My Review

I love a good slow burn romance, especially when there’s a history between the main characters, even if it’s just a missed opportunity or a case of bad timing. Add in the fact that Superfan is the third book in Sarina Bowen’s Brooklyn series, and it centers around professional hockey players, Silas and Delilah’s story checks all the boxes for this sports romance lover.

When Silas and Delilah met for the first time, their lives were going in two very different directions, so as much as they wanted to connect, it wasn’t meant to be, so they went their separate ways, achieving all of their respective professional goals, but not truly having a personal life that allowed them to feel completely connected, at least in the way they thought they would with one another.

I loved the interesting way that Bowen has her characters’ reconnect, especially because of the number of people who stepped in to make it all happen, and the insights readers receive into Silas and Delilah’s lives, both when they first met and now, three years later, illustrates exactly the kind of people they are and everything they’ve already endured.

I really liked Delilah as a heroine. The fact that she doesn’t make things difficult for Silas based on his disappearance when they first met speaks volumes about the type of person she is and just how clearly she sees Silas and the amazing person he is. And the fact that she’s a humble rockstar who cares more about other people than herself shows just how perfect she is for a man like Silas.

One of the main ideas/lessons that I took away from Superfan is the importance of following one’s dreams and the need to reach one’s endgame, even if it comes with its difficulties and setbacks. Both Delilah and Silas work their butts off to achieve their goals, which makes their success even sweeter, especially when they find the right person to share it with!

I loved camaraderie between Silas and his teammates and being able to catch up with previous couples from previous books is an aspect of a stand alone series that I love and that’s exactly what Sarina Bowen provides readers with in Silas and Delilah’s story!

4 Poison Apples

Excerpt

“Would you like a beer?” the cute bartender asks me.

I glance at the pile of mint leaves on his cutting board and hesitate. “Sure,” I say. But the mint looks so fresh and pretty.

“I could make you something different.”

“Beer is great. A cold…”

“—lager,” he finishes. “No glass, no opener.”

When I look up to flash him a smile, my heart does a little somersault. Those kind eyes are smiling at me, too. “Thank you,” I whisper.

“It’s really no problem.” He turns toward the beer cooler. “You’re an easy customer, trust me.”

But I really meant—thank you for remembering. As he leans down to grab a bottle for me, I find myself admiring the strong muscles in his back. Stop it, I admonish myself. It only gets worse when he turns around and places the bottle in front of me. I’ve never seen hands like his. I didn’t even know wrists could look muscular.

Even so. Ogling him is not why I came here. I pull out my keychain opener and remove the cap from my beer.

He discards it, gives me another pleasant smile and then picks up his paring knife again.

I take a sip, wondering when he’s going to mention my show at the Coconut Club. He was there. I saw him.

He separates some mint leaves from their stems and says nothing.

I last about seventeen seconds. “Well?”

“Well?” He looks up. “Sorry?”

“Jesus lord.” I close my eyes and then open them again. This is not going how I’d hoped it would. “What did you think?

“Of…?” His amazing eyes are studying me.

“Forget I asked.” I take a swig of beer.

“Think about what?” He pushes the cutting board aside, and his smile turns knowing.

“My set at the Coconut Club! I saw you holding up that wall in the back. Don’t lie.”

He tips his head back and lets out a sudden laugh. “I’m so busted. I loved your show, but I didn’t expect you to spot me.”

“You loved it so much you weren’t going to say anything?” The sentence sounds crazy to my own ears. I put down the beer. “You know what? Never mind. I’m just being psycho right now. This town is getting into my head.”

“Listen, girly.” He braces both (muscular!) hands on the bar and looks me right in the eye. “I loved it so much that I don’t even know what to say about it. From that moment at the beginning—when you shut that asshole’s maw? To the part where you made a lady cry.” He shakes his head. “I couldn’t look away. And I never wanted it to end.”

I give him a slow blink, just trying to take that in. It’s so much more than I was even hoping to hear.

“Shit, Delilah. If that set doesn’t win you whatever contract you’re looking for, they don’t even deserve you.”

Something warm and unfamiliar settles into the center of my belly. “That might be the nicest thing anyone ever said to me. Which only means you’re still trying to get my phone number.”

He laughs immediately. “Can’t both things be true? Both my musical assessment and my interest in your evening plans?”

“Because you know so much about music.” I flip my hair and take another sip of beer.

“Look. I don’t know shit about music. But I know plenty about talent.” He leans down on a set of forearms I shouldn’t be noticing. “I know that talent sometimes takes a nap at just the wrong moment, but it never stays asleep for long. I also know that luck matters, too. If they don’t give you what you want, it won’t be your fucking fault.”

“Thank you,” I say quietly.

But he’s not done. “I saw something else valuable the other night. You’re good in the clinch. And that counts for double, I swear to God.”

“The clinch?”

“Yeah. You’re not just good at practice.” He pauses, wrinkling up his interesting nose. “What word would a musician use? Okay—you’re not a rehearsal musician. That stage was like your home. Either that or you fake it really well. That’s going to pay your rent someday, I promise.”

“Wow.” It’s like he looked right into my terrified little soul and found the very thing I needed to hear. Those beautiful eyes of his are practically burning me right now, so I have to look away. “Thank you. Really. I really needed that pep talk.”

I make the mistake of looking up at him again, and, for a split second, I see pure yearning. It’s like our souls vibrate at exactly the same frequency. And I have no idea what to do with that.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW AND EXCERPT: ONLY EVER YOU by CD Reiss

OEY - BT Banner

The boy next door is now the man of her dreams.

From New York Times bestselling author CD Reiss comes a story of friendship, romance, and growing into a love that was always there. Only Ever You an all new swoon-worthy standalone is available now!

only ever you hires

Rachel knew exactly what turning thirty would be like. She had a plan, after all. First college, then a climb up the professional ladder. Love, marriage, children. All of it was on the schedule.

The cheap Hollywood apartment wasn’t on the list. Neither were the string of heartbreaks. Or her the effect her mother’s cancer had on her career.

It’s hard to stay practical and on-point when everything takes a left turn.

Enter Sebastian, the nerd across the street. The boy she defended when he couldn’t defend himself. The best friend she promised she’d marry if life didn’t go according to plan.

Not only is he successful, confident, and gorgeous, he still has their handwritten marriage contract.

No one goes through with childhood wedding pacts.

That’s crazy.

But their families might just be crazy enough to rent a hall and set a date. All Rachel and Sebastian have to do is fall in love.

My Review

I love authors who showcase their writing prowess by shifting gears and stepping outside of the kind of romances they’re known for into something completely different. CD Reiss is known for her dark romances, and in her latest release, Only Ever You, readers get a lighter side of Reiss’ storytelling, and as she tells Rachel Rendell and Sebastian Barton’s story, she meshes several romance tropes together to illustrate how a childhood pact made between friends becomes something tangible as adults and maybe even essential if meddling family members, a fake marriage, and rediscovered feelings with a little bit of faith have anything to say about it.

What I find most intriguing about Rachel and Sebastian’s story is the way that Reiss crafts her characters – both when they knew each other in high school and then when they reconnect 10 years later. The characters’ defining characteristics seem to shift drastically when they cross paths after a decade – the once independent and strong-willed Rachel is no longer due to a series of heartbreaks and her inability to achieve her self-made goals, and the new Sebastian is someone who doesn’t need another person to stand up for him because he’s become a successful, sexy, alpha male all on his own.

The path to a happily ever after for these two characters was a bit nerve wracking, if I’m being honest, because it felt like, at times, Rachel was too narrow-minded when it came to their ‘fake’ relationship, and I’m sure a huge part of that was because of her fear and her cynicism, but Sebastian seriously wore his heart on his sleeve, and I wanted Rachel to see him…see all of him because he was all in back when they were just friends and now even more since they reconnected, and I needed to feel like Rachel understood everything she could and would have with Sebastian.

I enjoyed Only Ever You, and while I had some concerns with Rachel and her hesitancies toward going all in with Sebastian, I adored Sebastian’s transformation to hot nerd and how he helped Rachel to remember the girl she used to be so that she could get past all her heartache and reclaim her independence and feel love from a man who has only ever seen her.

Excerpt

“Plan a wedding?” he asked. “Just because it’ll make you happy?”

My first instinct was to minimize. Call it nothing. Say the plans didn’t have to be big. We could just say we were getting married in city hall in three years.

But I was committed to the pitch, and that meant no backpedaling.

“Yes. The whole thing. A hall. A band. A long white dress. A honeymoon in Paris. It’s all talk, but if we’re going to talk, we might as well talk big.”

“You really want to do this?” he whispered.

Did I? No, I didn’t. But even though it was an insane lie for an intangible result, something about it felt ambitious. As if fake dating him was fine and dandy but faking a marriage was reaching for the stars. Thinking small hadn’t gotten me anywhere. Somehow, this was going for the glory.

Leaning in to me, he breathed on my cheek. The arm he’d draped over the railing stroked my hair. His lips moved to my jaw while he caressed the back of my neck.

“Let’s do it,” I said. My brain had become completely untethered from my body. I would have said yes if he’d promised me a plate of chicken.

He kissed me, and for a second I didn’t kiss him back. I was too stunned at his gentleness. I was a feather pillow, bending under him, barely holding my shape.

I was going to regret this. He was handsome. He was a wonderful person. I wanted to kiss him. A little pucker. A little change in the angle of my head. A taste of his tongue on mine. A little groan I had no control over before we were in full make out.

Oh my God. My body was praying for more, and my mind was reminding me not to get attached because in the end he was still a guy I was attracted to, and guys I was attracted to broke my heart.

“Gross!” Tiffany said from the driveway. Not expecting to hear her so close, we yanked apart. “You’re eating her face, dweeb.”

She rolled her eyes so hard I could only see the whites.

“You came out here to criticize how I kiss my fiancée?”

I coughed.

It was on.

About CD Reiss

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up she’s at the well hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

She’s frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn’t ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

Blurb

Indulge in four delicious tales of true love! In Dating Mr. Right, you’ll devour an online dating meets secret identity romance, a friends-to-lovers plus best friend’s brother scorcher, a story of a pair of jaded lovers bitten by the insta-love bug, and an office romance with an age difference.

Lucky Suit…

I’m breaking up with set-ups. No more “can I introduce you to my son, nephew, grandson, the butcher, the guy down the street who mows my lawn.” Machines know what’s best, and I’ll rely on the great dating algorithms of the web to find the ideal man, thank you very much.

Soon enough, it looks like I’ve found him — his nickname is Lucky Suit, and he’s hilarious, quick-witted and full of heart. But when I finally get together with him in person, I have the distinct feeling I’ve met him before.

Turns out there’s more to our meeting than I had thought, and when we discover what truly brought us together, all bets are off.

Once Upon A Red-Hot Kiss…

A man needs to stay far away from falling into bed with his best friend.

Even if she’s sexy as sin, sweet as candy, and damn near irresistible every single day.

But not only are Macy and I best friends, we’re also complete opposites. She’s perky, upbeat, outgoing and I’m . . . how shall we say . . . a little bit broody.

Then, she reveals something to me that just might lead me to revise all my rules on friends in bed…

Too Good To Be True…

To say I’m wary of love would be an epic understatement. Keep that four-letter word far away from me.

But then a matchmaker friend insists she can pair me with the perfect man for me.

Even when sparks fly and chemistry crackles from the first date, I refuse to believe this kind of insta-connection can be the real thing.

Even though for the first time it feels like it could be.

Or is it just too good to be true?

Strong Suit (a short story)…

From the day I meet Ginny in the conference room, I’m smitten with the co-worker who’s ten years my senior. And I’m going to pull out all the stops to win her over.

Rising

All I want is to leave my crime-ridden shadow of a home in New York City. I’ve done everything I can to keep my head down and focus on my studies. College is my only goal; love has never been on the map…

That is, until my sister brings me to an underground fight, where I meet a gorgeous and mysterious man: Vincent.

He is the ghost in my shadows, showing up to feed me pieces of his upper-crust life, then evaporating into darkness until his next visit. I’m falling hard and fast. How can I trust him amidst the depth of his secrets?

Vincent may be even more dangerous than the dark world I’m trying to escape.

Reckoning

Vincent: Forgetting about Eve was the plan. Finding her at a party on my college campus was the last thing I expected.

My world has turned into a house of cards, where one wrong move can send it all crashing down…and us with it.

Eve: Finally at a prestigious university—and on the path to living my dreams—I’ve left the darkness of the Blue Houses behind. Still, a whole new host of problems await me.

Vincent is the king of the school. I thought I wanted to know what he was hiding, but unlocking his biggest secret leads me into entirely new territory laced with danger and lust…one I’m not sure I’ll survive.

Redemption

Vincent
Through every drop of blood I spilled, I lost a piece of my soul. I’ve sacrificed seven long years and the woman of my life for the Family. But I’m not done fighting—not yet.

Eve is still out there. I will stop at nothing to get her back.

Eve

After having my heart torn out by the son of the biggest crime family in New York, I was forced to start over in California. With three thousand miles between me and my past, life is finally set on cruise control.

As for love? It’s not worth the fight.

REVIEW AND EXCERPT: Teardrop Shot by Tijan

Release date: June 24th
Genre: Sports Romance

Blurb

I asked for his criteria for bed buddies–that’s the PG version.

He swore at me and said he didn’t do groupies. And just like that, our friendship was off to a great start.

Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder.

Gorgeous. Cocky. Loved by the nation.

He’s also attending preseason basketball training camp where I used to work.

Correction: where I work again, because I was fired from my last job.

And dumped.

And I might have a tiny bit of baggage, but that’s normal. Right?

Reese and I shouldn’t have become friends. We shouldn’t have become roommates.

And we really shouldn’t have started sleeping together … (Except we did.)

I’m adorably psychotic. He’s in the NBA. This is not a disaster waiting to happen, at all. Teardrop Shot is a 107k standalone with brand new characters.

My Review

I’m a huge sports romance junkie, and a big fan of Tijan’s writing and storytelling, so I couldn’t wait to read Teardrop Shot and immerse myself in the writer’s new world and characters, and by the time I finished Charlie and Reese’s story, my appreciation for how Tijan crafts and creates grew tenfold because this book was so much more than I thought it would be and it took readers on one hell of an emotional journey – one where Charlie struggles to live again…where she hides behind her techniques of deflection and where she gets a second chance to share who she truly is with someone who accepts her, her baggage, and her lack of a filter in stressful or overwhelming situations.

Before I go further in my review, I have to be honest about my initial reaction to Charlie’s story. I struggled in the beginning to truly understand all the things that Charlie was dealing with, and I’m not sure if it was because the things that happened to her were only vaguely introduced or if it dealt more with the way she cut off her lifeline, her friends, in what seemed to be a rather easy decision. But as I continued to read and learn more about Charlie’s struggles and the reasons behind her vanishing act for the past 8 years, a much clearer picture formed, and I was able to see what coping mechanisms she used so that she could continue surviving, continue existing and hopefully, some day, be able to move on an move forward without her broken pieces keeping her plagued by the past.

I adored Charlie’s group of friends; they were so understanding and had her back regardless of how much her ghosting them hurt. There was just something so special about their friendship – it was more like they were family and family stayed together even when one of their own went off course a bit and needed to be reminded that she always had a safe place with them.

The progression of Charlie and Reese’s friendship/relationship was most definitely not a linear path, which given what both of them had already endured due to other people’s decisions and actions, made complete sense. There were going to be highs and lows, breakthroughs and setbacks, complications and simple acts, but the fact that from the very beginning Reese answered every last one of Charlie’s less than appropriate questions spoke to exactly what these two could become.

Reese is instrumental in Charlie’s recovery, in her ability to show him just how tormented her heart is, but this story is more so about Charlie’s re-awakening, and while Reese is tantamount to her progression, Charlie has to be the one to begin her healing, to take her pain, her heartache, and her grief and maybe not let them go but find a way through them, to release them enough that she can reclaim her life and be somewhat at peace with the past in order to live in the present and have a future that is as rare and beautiful as a teardrop shot.

4.5 Poison Apples

Excerpt

There was Garth Carzoni.

I almost fell down into the dishwasher.

I should stop gawking, but I couldn’t.

Terry Bartlonguesen.

I made a weird sounding gurgle. It started as a sigh, but I caught myself and barked out an alien something again. I wasn’t sure myself what it was.

He’d been traded the last year to help–I couldn’t breathe. Literally. My heart stopped working as he leaned over and whispered something to Matthew Crusky.

Matthew Crusky, everyone! The Cruskinator. The Cruskimachine.

Double-down on the weird alien sigh.

I sagged again, but grabbed for the sink and caught myself.

Right.

Look away. Brain walls. Brain walls. They needed to be erect.

Firm.

Standing upright and ready.

I felt my knees going.

I couldn’t stop myself.

I went back to my stalker/gawking mode.

Beau Michems.

Crowd surges to their feet and makes a standing ovation. Ahhhh. Ahhhhh.

And he was sitting next to Juan Cartion.

Juan Cartion. Juan the Speedster Cartion! His other nickname was the Chia Pet because his hair would frizz up during every game. The announcers loved teasing him about it. He wasn’t the Chia Pet here, though. His hair was slicked down and combed to the side. He was the shooting guard, and–I was about to embark into Pure Insanity Mode so I had to guard myself, ram up the shields–he was Reese Forster’s best friend.

My mouth dried up, just thinking of him, thinking his best friend was in that room. His best friend was twenty feet from me.

Me. From me!

“Settle down, Cherry Popper.”

“Cherry Popper?” I turned around, and raised an eyebrow. “Are you using reverse psychology on me? Hoping I’ll want to pop your cherry.”

Trent laughed. “I was hoping for projection. I’m projecting my fantasies onto you.”

I snorted. “Hate to break it to you, but my cherry was popped long agooo…oo…oh shit.” My boss was standing on the other side of the dish window, a scowl on his face.

The dirty bastard was going to take it and run. I knew how he worked–

He just shook his head, and sighed. “Trent, we’re going to start.”

Damn. He was all business. I was slightly disappointed… slightly. I didn’t want to get ahead of myself.

I couldn’t help myself. “Hey, Keith?”

He started to head for the doorway, but paused and looked back.

I deadpanned, “If you were five years old right now, in that body, what’s the first thing you’d do?”

“Keep it up, Manning. We have other alumni staff we can call.” He started back.

“Oh yeah? How many of them can ask you–” A hand clapped around my mouth.

Trent spoke over my head, “Keep walking, Boss. I got her handled.”

No one handled me.

Well, except that Trent did just now and that I needed it.

I gulped down some oxygen once he lifted his hand and sagged forward. “Thank you. I almost lost a second job just there.”

He moved back, but his chuckle was strained. “I gotta go, but you need to get yourself in check. I mean it. I have to leave tomorrow for another speaking event, and I won’t be back for another week and a half. You going to be okay till then?”

I nodded.

Once the camp weeks started, it wouldn’t be hard to avoid Keith. He tended to only show up for meals, for the evening meetings if there were any, and that was it. He’d stay in the office after that, so as long as he wasn’t poking his nose in the gym courts, I would be fine. I could do the dishes and that’d squirrel me away a plate of food so I didn’t actually have to see Keith then.

Trent said to Hadley, who was walking by him at that second, “You’ll help reign her in if she needs it?”

Hadley threw him a smile over  her shoulder, not stopping. She went out, picked up a steamer and brought it back in. She said as she passed by again, “No problem, though I’ve always enjoyed Charlie’s feisty side.”

I bit back a laugh. She liked to egg it on.

“For some reason, I’m not reassured.”

I slapped him on the arm. “Get on. I’ll be fine. And if anything else, I’ll whisper my random questions.”

He gave me a dry look. “Right. Because that’s not creepy.”

I shrugged, going back to the dishes.

The players had started to migrate out the doors, leaving all their dishes on the table.

Normal camps had a process where they were told how to collect plates on one tray, silverware on another, trash etc. Adult camps were just told to take their dishes to the dish window, but these guys were none of those. I wasn’t surprised to see not one of them brought their stuff to the window. That meant an added thirty minutes to the clean-up, just collecting everything. But as I was thinking it, Owen was whipping through with a cart.

I guess if they couldn’t bring the dishes to the window, Owen was bringing the window to their dishes? He had a soaking tub on there for the silverware even.

“Okay. I’m going to go.” Trent still lingered. “You haven’t asked about your baller crush.”

Hyperventilating.

Then I heard Trent say, “He’s not here. He’s coming tomorrow.”

Oh good God.

RELEASE BLAST AND REVIEW: IT WASN’T ME by Lani Lynn Vale

Piper Mackenzie first sees him shirtless, standing in front of the military plane she was about to board, with one rather large wrench in his hand. The fact that he has the plane—the one that she’s about to be flying on for hours—in pieces only minutes before she’s set to take off on it doesn’t faze her. At least not until a flippant joke about dying in mid-air leaves his lips.

The second time she sees him, he’s helping her from the wreckage of her car. The wreckage that he helped cause.

The third, he’s laying across from her in the same bed, and there’s no denying what happened the night before.

The fourth, well that time would be the first of many. Being Mrs. Jonah Crew has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

*****

Jonah Crew saw her for the first time as she stared at him in awe. It was snowing, the temp was in the negative degrees, and he couldn’t think about anything but her and the look of horror on her face when he tells a badly-timed joke.

The second time he sees her, his heart skips a beat, but not for the reason that one might think. Mainly, it’s due in part to the fact that his truck smashed into her car so hard that his chest hits the steering wheel and his heart decides to stop working right.

The third time, he’s fairly positive that he’s died and gone to heaven. At least, that’s what waking up next to a beautiful woman like her signifies, right?

The fourth? Well, he’s not quite sure how he got there, but he’s already said ‘I do’ so what’s a guy to do?

My Review

I’ve been waiting for Piper Mackenzie’s story ever since meeting her in her sisters’ books. The Mackenzie family is a stubborn, comical, and a bit out of control group who love fiercely and have each other’s backs at all times, even if they do act without thinking at times, making an already chaotic situation, worse.

Piper is so much like her sisters and her mom that all of them together is either one heck of a good time or a situation that will send their men running for cover. I adore the bond they share and the fact that when Piper or her sisters make less than stellar decisions, or even good ones that are made without much thought, their mother and their father do what they can to help while also telling them like it is.

Jonah Crew is a bit of a live wire in the sense that he doesn’t hold anything back. Most people think he’s an asshole, which he would openly admit he is. But he’s different with Piper, and that fact is clear from their very first interaction. They complement each other extremely well, and Piper has a way with him that helps smooth out his rougher edges, not changing him, but bringing out a side of him that very few experience.

The way these two go about a relationship is definitely unconventional, but they make it work because what they’re building, even without truly knowing each other, is something special…is something that neither thought they would have and the fact that they find it with one another makes it that much more fulfilling.

From the start, It Wasn’t Me felt a bit different from Lani Lynn Vale’s usual story line…a lot less drama is within its pages, and it’s more lighthearted than most of her other stories. And, this is exactly the kind of book I needed! And I’m so glad that what happened in Vegas, didn’t stay there:)
