Blurb

Love is weakness.

Which is why Annabelle Mills vowed a long time ago to never let it destruct her. A former pageant queen with a bite equally as lethal as her bark, she’s interning at her dream job on the set of the highest-rated home design show on television. Everything in Annabelle’s life, though it may be cold and isolated, is going exactly as she always planned.

Until her ex-high school sweetheart moves to town. The same boy that she cheated on, once upon a time, essentially breaking both of their hearts. But no one knows the full story, and being vulnerable enough to open up about it is not on Annabelle’s checklist.

Hate is fuel.

The kind that courses through Boone Graham’s veins and allows him to shut out everyone around him. As the hottest rookie on Austin’s professional baseball team, he should be spending his days hitting homeruns and signing jerseys. Except he’s seen dreams ripped right out from under those closest to him, leaving them with nothing.

Without a college degree, he’ll never take the risk of pursuing his real dream. But when he runs into the girl who took a mallet to his heart and stopped it beating, attending the same university might just be the biggest challenge he’s faced yet.

As the semester unfolds, the line between love and hate is blurred. And with the amount of baggage stacked between them, together is the last thing they want to be.

That’s the thing about hearts, though. They develop plans all on their own.

Author of romance novels such as Red Card and Privileged, Carrie Aarons writes books that are just as swoon-worthy as they are sarcastic. A former journalist, she prefers the stories she dreams up, and the yoga pant dress code, much better.

When she isn’t writing, Carrie is busy binging reality TV, having a love/hate relationship with cardio, and trying not to burn dinner. She lives in the suburbs of New Jersey with her husband, daughter and dog.

REVIEW BLITZ AND EXCERPT: FALL by Kristen Callihan

The first time I met Jax Blackwood things went a little sideways.

In my defense, I didn’t know he was Jax Blackwood—who expects a legendary rock star to be shopping for groceries? More importantly, a blizzard was coming and he was about to grab the last carton of mint-chocolate chip.

Still, I might have walked away, but then he smugly dared me to try and take the coveted ice cream. So I kissed him. And distracted that mint-chip right out of his hands.

Okay, it was a dirty move, but desperate times and all that. Besides, I never expected he’d be my new neighbor.

An annoying neighbor who takes great pleasure in reminding me that I owe him ice cream but would happily accept more kisses as payment. An irresistible neighbor who keeps me up while playing guitar naked–spectacularly naked–in his living room.

Clearly, avoidance is key. Except nothing about Jax is easy to ignore—not the way he makes me laugh, or that his particular brand of darkness matches mine, or how one look from him melts me faster than butter under a hot sun.

Neither of us believes in love or forever. Yet we’re quickly becoming each other’s addiction. But we could be more. We could be everything.

All we have to do is trust enough to fall.

My Review

There’s always a risk when a romance author takes on sensitive topics – ones that readers have strong opinions on and ones that don’t follow a similar pattern for any two people. Society seems more apt to judge and to criticize instead of trying to understand and to sympathize that every person’s experience is different and that no one knows what someone else’s life is like because despite perceptions and assumptions, the reality of things is never what they seem.

Jax’s backstory is not a pretty one, but it’s one that needs to be told and understood because without that knowledge, the dynamics of Kill John, its implosion, and its future would not make sense and it’s pivotal that clarity is obtained, especially due to Jax’s present journey and how his past has led him to now.

Ever since meeting Jax Blackwood in the previous books in the VIP series, I’ve sensed there’s more to him than meets the eye; there’s an uncontainable darkness inside of him – one that ravages his body with depression and anxiety – a combination of imbalance that is unrelenting in its work to overwhelm Jax as he attempts to calm the maelstrom inside of him and keep it at bay so that he can continue to do what needs to be done, even when he’s more than willing to give up…just like he did over two years ago.

As much as readers may disagree with Jax’s choices and the things he has experienced due to those decisions, the havoc inside of him is debilitating, and Kristen Callihan illustrates Jax’s true circumstances brilliantly and with so much depth that it’s easy to see what he’s truly up against and how little his fame and fortune means to him when he’s fighting the battle of his life all due to his horrific demons.

Stella Button Grey may be ‘average’ in all ways that society cares about, but her giving and caring nature is extraordinary, which means that her inner beauty shines brightly despite her insecurities and the fact that she has no-one to champion her like she champions everybody else.

Jax and Stella give each other what they’ve desperately needed, and their friendship evolves into something more naturally. Their bond is deep and it centers around the idea that they are enough…that their ‘issues’ don’t make them damaged…they make them human and they’re enough simply because of who they are – warts and all, and that lesson is important for not only the characters in the story but readers as well and while it’s one that may take time to understand and even more to practice, it’s invaluable to learn.

I’ve loved this series since Idol was released because they’re not typical rocker romances; they focus on issues that matter and ones that resonate with readers and the heroes and heroines are uniquely and realistically portrayed, which makes a connection to these characters easily obtained as well as lasting.

Excerpt

The air between us shifts. I’m filled with a strange giddiness, wanting to laugh for the fun of it, but I’m also too warm, my limbs oddly heavy as if simple movements might be too much for me.

His tone turns soft and cajoling, teasing the truth out of me. “Are you going to tell me what you do?” When I say nothing, the corners of his eyes crinkle. “I see. You’re going to torture me a bit.”

The warm, fuzzy feeling grows as I shrug. “Torture feels apropos in this scenario.”

He hums again, taking another step toward me. “What makes you think I won’t like being tortured by you?”

The heat of his body and the scent of his skin makes my head light and my pulse pound. How did it get to this point where the highlight of my day is flirting with Jax Blackwood? Despite the thrill, I know I’m in over my head. I haven’t gone out on a date in months because I form attachments, I get emotional, and then I hurt when they inevitably leave. And this man will leave. He is as bright and fleeting as a camera flash. I’ll be left with the image of him seared into my memory and nothing more.

I tell myself all of this, the voice in my head as stern as possible. But it doesn’t make me back away. It doesn’t stop my body from somehow straining toward his without even moving. Because it might be stupid of me, but I want to feel something that isn’t planned. Something, for however briefly, that’s real.

He’s too attuned to me not to notice. John’s lids lower as his attention slides down my body before easing back up to my face. Slowly, he rests his forearm on the wall beside my head. “Tell me, Stella,” he murmurs.

“No,” I whisper back, flirting, even though I shouldn’t.

His biceps bunch as he leans in, a smile dancing on his lips. “Tell.”

My breasts graze his chest, and I feel it in my toes.

“You’re crowding me.” I hate how breathy I sound.

“Can’t help it.” His voice is a rumble, the heat of his breath playing over my skin. He ducks his head, drawing close until our lips nearly brush, and when he speaks again, his tone is almost conversational, except for the husky quality that touches deep within my core. “You smell like strawberries. Fucking delicious.”

My lids flutter, and I swallow hard. “Ordinarily, I’d call you out on that cliché but since I’ve been eating strawberries, you aren’t exactly wrong.”

His chuckle is slow and easy, as he eases back and his gaze slowly travels over my face. “Were they sweet, Stella Button?”

He’s looking at my mouth like he might try to find out. My lips tremble in response, and John tracks the movement, his breathing getting deeper, faster. “You have two freckles on your lips. One on the top lip and one on the bottom corner.”

Those damn freckles. They were the bane of my adolescence. I hid them with lipstick and silently cursed whenever someone mentioned them.

Freckles don’t have any feelings, but I swear it’s as if he’s touching them.

“You’re just noticing this?” I try to make it sound like a joke, but it comes out weak and thready.

His own lips quirk. “Oh, I noticed. It’s distracting as hell. They’re like two little dots of butter toffee. Makes me want to lick them, get a taste.”

Oh, God. Lick them, please. I can almost feel it. I want to feel it.

No. Bad Stella. Behave.

John’s lips part a fraction like he just might take that taste.

“Back off,” I whisper. And yet somehow my traitorous hands find their way to his sides, running over the waistband of his jeans, holding him there.

John makes a sound deep in his throat and tilts his hips, pressing them against mine. A distinctly thick bulge nudges my belly. Both of us lose a breath, and then he’s closer, his cheek touching my temple. “You’ll have to let me go first.”

My thumbs slide under the edge of his shirt and find smooth, taut skin. A tremor goes through his body. I try to think, search for what the hell we’ve been talking about.

His lips brush the crest of my cheek as he murmurs against my skin. “Tell me what you do, Stella. You know you want to.”

My smile feels illicit. Somehow the action is directly tied to all my happy parts, making them draw hot and tight. “I don’t think I do.”

Another hum. “Liar. You’re dying to.”

COVER AND EXCERPT REVEAL: HEARTBREAK WARFARE by Heather M. Orgeron and Kate Stewart

Contemporary Romance
Stand Alone
Designed by: Letitia Hasser RBA designs
Goodreads: http://bit.ly/2OI2h4u

Blurb

Briggs,

Remember when we parted ways in Germany? It was the day I broke your heart. What you didn’t know was that I was breaking mine too.

I thought they’d be enough–my husband and my son. That I’d get home and everything would go back to the way it was . . .

Before the war.
Before the ambush.
Before you.

But, no matter how hard I try, I can’t erase the trauma we shared. I can’t seem to forget the way my heart beat in time with yours.

The truth is I’m lost without you.

I thought the nightmare was over when they pulled us from that hole in the ground, but nothing could have prepared me for the war I’d face at home.
I know it’s selfish of me to ask, but, please, I have to see you one last time. . .

All my love,
Scottie

Excerpt

“I need you to break my heart,” she declares, wringing her hands nervously. “Give me a reason to hate you, because wanting you this way is…it’s ruining me. It’s ruining my life.”

She is dead serious.
Lifting her chin, as if ready to take a blow, her turbulent eyes implore mine. “Tell me about them. Tell me about all of the women you’ve been with since Germany.”

“No.” I shake my head. “Hell no.”

“Oh, please, Briggs. How long did you wait? A few days?” She laughs sarcastically. “I bet you didn’t even make it a day.”

She’s coming out guns blazing, and I can see it’s physically killing her to do it.

“Are we playing the guessing game? Do I get to ask how many times you’ve fucked your husband?”

“Sure,” she says with a shrug. “We’ll trade. You go first.”

She’s bluffing, and I’m calling her on it.

“Don’t do this, Scottie. You don’t really want to hear about that.”

“Humor me, Briggs.” Her eyes plead with mine. “I need to hear this.”

“Fine. You want the truth?”

She nods.

“Complete honesty?”

Again, she bobs her head.

She stands stock-still as I pace the small room, feeling the blood begin to boil beneath my overheated skin.

Fuck it.
I stalk back toward her, stopping inches away. “You really want to know that there have been so many that I’ve lost count? How they’re all blondes with blue eyes? But the blue, it’s never right, and their smiles—all wrong.”

She swats at the fresh tears that trail down her cheeks as her lips begin to tremble. Reaching out, she places a hand on my chest, and I know that she must feel the way my heart is pounding against my rib cage, reaching for her. Always reaching for her.

I jerk myself away and brand that touch to memory.

In about forty-five seconds, my heart is going to implode. I start ticking them down.

“You want me to tell you all about how I have to drink myself stupid, till their faces blur enough that I can pretend…” I pause running a hand down my face. “So that I can pretend they’re you? You want to know how fucking miserable I am? How when I slide between their legs, I close my eyes, and it’s your face I see? How I’m always careful not to kiss them because their lips are all wrong. How every time I finish I want to fucking kill myself, because I can’t stand the pain of wanting the one woman I can never have.”

Thirty seconds.

“Is that enough?” Her eyes snap to mine. “Hate me yet?”

Face crumbling, she gasps out a sob, wrapping her arms around her shoulders.

“Come on, Scottie. Let’s not kid ourselves. I’m still the same prick you hated when we met. Nothing’s changed. I think we’ve romanticized this situation long enough, don’t you?”

Taking another step away from her, I tilt my head. “You’re a housewife,” I say snidely. “Someone else’s wife and I’m a career soldier. This isn’t exactly ideal.”

She flinches visibly, and my heart bottoms out.

Fifteen.

I cut my hand through the air. “At the end of the day, this was nothing but a big mistake. And we never would have happened if—”

“Stop,” she cries out painfully, “stop, I’m good,” she whispers before rocketing toward the door just as I reach for her, my fingers curling in the space she just left. Handle in hand, she looks back at me with the sweep of her eyes until they meet mine. That’s how we started, and it’s only fitting it’s how we should end. For the moment, we’re right back there in the place we created, where we are perfect. Where our souls line up without any visible smudge on the seams. In a place where there is still so much love, so much that I can’t stop the tear that slides out before batting it away with the back of my hand.

An identical tear runs down her cheek. “Thank you.”

Three. Two. One.

RELEASE BLITZ REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY: Out of the Blue by Lila Rose

Title: Out of the Blue
Author: Lila Rose
Genre: Romance

Release Date: October 23, 2018
Blurb

At forty, Lan Davis is looking for his damned picket fence and 2.5 kids. What he doesn’t expect is instead of a wife in the picture, his mind keeps conjuring up images of two men. One, his partner in the force, who is as straight as they came, the other an ex, who he’d hurt but never forgot.

After an incident leaves Lan injured, the two men rally around him… only maybe they shouldn’t have. It seems a medicated Lan is a truthful one.

Parker Wilding is pissed at the world. His anger builds when his partner refuses medical care after an attack. Instead, Lan entrusts his neighbour to take care of him—a guy Parker doesn’t trust. While he’s aware they share a history, when the past is revealed, the truth shocks the hell out of him.

Being emotionally crushed ten years ago, Easton Ravel hoped he would never have to see the man who broke him again. Hope is a fickle b*itch. And now he’s not sure how to handle being face-to-face with the man he once loved. Add in the mix the annoying, testy Parker, and Easton finds his limits are pushed.

Just not in the way he thought they would be.

What happens next sure does come out of the blue.

Review

Holy Hell are Lan Davis, Parker Wilding, and Easton Ravel beyond HAWT when they’re together, and while it takes them a bit to all get on the same page and realize exactly what they want from one another, once all three of them go all in, the only thing that can prevent them from moving forward as a threesome is each others’ fears and insecurities.

It’s clear from the start of Out of the Blue that there is a lot more involved in a menage relationship than sexual logistics, especially when it comes to three strong, stubborn, and swoon worthy men, which means that any kind of relationship among them is going to take time and trust, and those aspects of their connection build slowly, at times, brutally so, but it’s important for them to do it right so that none of them doubt what the others feel.

Parker is the wild card out of the three men; his straight guy lifestyle is difficult to see past and his conflicted feelings only add to his torment. There is a lot of thought and soul searching that Parker goes through during the first half of the story, and I appreciate the fact that Lila Rose didn’t force Parker’s feelings or make him act on his desires until he could give himself to both Lan and Easton without giving them mixed signals and make this difficult situation impossible.

The fact that Lila Rose provides readers with Lan, Parker, and Easton’s perspectives allows readers to completely understand where all three men are coming from…what they fear…what frustrates them…how their past affects their present and perhaps even their future, and most importantly, how each of them feels about the situation they find themselves in and the nerves and doubts that sometimes consumes one or all of them.

There’s a lot to sort through in Out of the Blue, not only with the three main characters’ situation but also with the secondary storylines involved in the text, but each aspect of the plot flows seamlessly together, illustrating the connection to the Hawks as well as the other pivotal characters and events, and while I wished that readers were given a bit more insight into the development of Lan, Parker, and Easton’s bond, building a solid foundation that explores how integral each one is to their threesome, it’s still made clear that they are all on equal footing and the only way that it works is when they’re on the same page in terms of their wants and their needs.

Out of the Blue is one heck of a journey for three men who have a lot to overcome in order to be together and while their steamy scenes illustrate just how much they crave one another, the emotions brought forth in the book also play a pivotal role in proving that nothing can stop Lan, Parker, and Easton from being what they want to one another as long as they stand strong and disregard all of the naysayers because only they know that what they share is real, pure, and forever.

My Review

I’ve been with Damien Stark and Nikki Fairchild since the beginning of their relationship, witnessing them evolve as people and as a couple, and while secrets, lies, and outside interference have always been points of contention, their love has always endured because they are a part of each other’s soul…one’s heart doesn’t beat without the other, and for every trial faced, every dilemma solved, every threat contained, their bond solidifies even more.

In Lost With Me, fans of the Stark Saga embark on the next chapter with Damien, Nikki, and their girls, who are their world, but if there’s one thing readers have learned about their time with Mr. Stark, it’s that his secrets are plentiful and the darkness of his past always seems to lay claim to his present clarity, not caring who he is or the power that he wields; in fact, it’s because of his powerful position and his blissful married life that his skeletons won’t stay locked up; it’s just too bad that he’s not the only casualty of this war that everyone seems to want to fight when it comes to knocking Damien off of his pedestal.

For some time now, Nikki has been the one constant in Damien’s life, but while her unconditional love seems to be endless, the amount of torment and heartache that she has endured due to the ghosts of his pasture relentless and they all seem to want their pound of flesh and they don’t care how they get it or who they get it from, even if it means tearing a loving couple and family apart.

Every time J. Kenner releases a new book in Damien and Nikki’s world, I always wonder what trials the author will force this steadfast couple to face, and I have to say that the revelations in Lost With Me were incredibly unpredictable and they left me wondering where the Starks go from here, so as I anxiously wait to hear from Damien Stark himself, I’ll continue to ponder what she has in store for her readers and for the characters we have grown to love.

My Review

Part of the appeal of Kristen Proby’s Big Sky series is its setting; it’s a beautiful location and Proby brings that environment to life with her detailed descriptions. I also like the small-town feel of Cunningham Falls; it’s big enough to draw in tourists but it also has a cozy feel to it that keeps its residents enthralled with the life they have here, even if the snow is overwhelming at times.

In Tempting Brooke, Proby tells Brooke Henderson and Brody Chabot’s story – one that has history and strong feelings attached to it and one that stirs up past emotions and enlightens readers about Brody’s reasons for not wanting to stay in his hometown any longer than he has to despite Brooke’s presence and the way he’s always felt about her. But things change when Brooke finagles more time with Brody to sort through both their professional and personal relationships – ones that Brooke hopes exist even after their one week is up.

I really enjoyed getting to know Brooke and learning about what she finds passion in and why. Brooke’s a great heroine because she doesn’t make everything about herself and her business. Of course, she has a stake in preventing Brody from selling the building he now owns, but there’s more at play than just her livelihood and those other factors are what Brooke shows Brody during the week he gives her to change his mind.

I can’t necessarily blame Brody for cutting ties with everyone and everything in Cunningham Falls due to what he faced as a child up until the day he left, but he gave up more than he thought he did when it came to his relationship/connection to Brooke; the fact that they’ve always been honest and real with each other is part of the reason he cut ties with her even before he left, but what they shared never went away; it only hid beneath the surface and now that they’re back in each other’s lives after a decade, their friendly feelings have turned into something more…something that proves just how right they’ve always been for each other despite the time, distance, and hurt feelings experienced.

But what that means for a future together isn’t an easy answer, so even though Brooke and Brody are both tempted to give into what their body and hearts want, the aftermath may do more harm than good, leaving these two questioning what the right answer is and if a solution can be found.

Tempting Brooke is a sweet read about second chances and not allowing one’s past to dictate one’s future, and I, for one, am so glad that these two gave into temptation.

The bell dings, and I reach for my small handbag and answer the door.

Brody’s eyes start at my face and slowly meander down my body to my sandal-covered feet, and if I’m not mistaken, his jaw clenches.

Just friends, Brooke.

“Hey.”

I can’t help but take my own perusal of the man standing before me. Jesus in a basket, he fills out a suit nicely. His shoulders are broad, and his arms muscular.

Yes, this does things to me.

“Can I come in?” he asks with a small smile on his lips.

“Of course.” I step back and he walks inside my small house.

“This is nice,” he says, but his eyes are still on me.

“Thanks. I’ve been here for a couple of years.” I glance around, wondering if Brody and I have the same tastes, and then I glance back to him and bust out laughing.

“What?” he asks.

“Turn around.” He complies, and I reach up to pull the tag that’s poked out of the neck of his jacket. His hair is soft against the back of my fingers, and I can’t help but wonder what it would feel like as I fist it while he does amazing, sexy things to me.

I take a deep breath and hand it to him with a laugh. “Wear it every day, my ass.”

He tucks the tag in his pocket. “I didn’t bring a suit to Montana. I had to improvise.”

He bought it just for me.

And according to the tag, it wasn’t cheap.

Now I feel bad. I shouldn’t have pushed the issue. He spent a bunch of money that he didn’t need to, all because I gave him a hard time.

“I thought we could eat at Ciao tonight,” he says as he leads me out of the house to his rented convertible. The sun broke out a couple of hours ago, and it’s the perfect temperature now. But I just did my hair.

I think about asking him to put the top up, and then decide, fuck it.

I reach into my handbag and pull out a hair tie, twist my hair on top of my head, and grin as I sit in the fun car.

“I could have put the top up.”

“And that would have been a waste on a day like today,” I reply smoothly and have to physically restrain myself from reaching over to brush my fingertips through that soft hair at the nape of his neck.

We drive through town in silence. Rather than park in front of the restaurant, he drives past, and I frown over at him.

“Having second thoughts?”

“No.” He sends me a smile. “Before we go in, I’d like to know why you got so quiet.”

I bite my lip and look out my window, then turn to him and say, “Did you buy that suit just for me?”

“Seems I do a lot of things for you lately,” he replies with a grin. “It’s not a big deal, Brooke.”

“I’m sorry,” I reply. “I was just goofing around this afternoon. I didn’t mean for you to have to do all of this.”

“All of what?”

“Buy that gorgeous suit, take me to dinner. I feel like I hijacked your day, and I feel bad.”

He pulls over, whips his seatbelt off, and turns to me.

“Look at me.”

I comply. He drags his knuckle down my cheek again, and that’s all it takes to set my body on high alert.

RELEASE BLITZ AND EXCERPT: FALL by Kristen Callihan

Excerpt

I clear my throat. “While I was eating my ice cream—”

He snorts, but remains tense.

“I thought about how you looked familiar to me.”

“It was the guilt haunting you.”

“Or … And I’m just throwing this out there. You’re Jax Blackwood.”

He actually flinches. “Fuck. You recognized me.”

“It was bound to happen. John? Really?”

His chin tips in a pugnacious angle. “It’s my name. John is … me. Jax is who I am onstage.”

I picture him performing, all electric energy and raw passion and sheer talent. It’s a sight to behold. Hell, a couple of really hot fantasies have been induced by that sight.

While I’m lost in a teen fantasy, his eyes dart around like he’s expecting someone to pop out from behind a snow mound and take his picture. Then his gaze snags on me. My expression must be slightly punch drunk, because his entire body leans away from mine. Not exactly flattering to realize he’s afraid I’ll try to lick his face or something.

I snap my gaping mouth closed. “Oh, calm down. It’s not like I’m going to start squealing and try to grab your junk.”

His expression lightens a little. “I think if you grabbed my junk, I’d be the one squealing.”

“True. I have surprisingly strong hands.” When he stares at me in horror, I hold them up and wiggle my fingers. “Yoga. It’s highly effective.”

“My balls just flinched in terror.”

“Consider yourself warned.”

He snorts but then glances at our building. “You really live here?”

“Do you really think I hunted you down?”

John—because I can’t seem to think of him as Jax—runs his hand through his damp hair, which makes his biceps bunch and twitch. “Yeah … that does sound crazy.”

Crazy. This whole situation is. One day, I’m offered a four-month home in a dream condo, the next I’m standing on my stoop talking to a rock star. The biggest legend of my generation. I honestly don’t know how I’m not stammering right now.

“I can’t believe we’re neighbors,” I say without thinking.

His green eyes glint in the afternoon light, but he pauses and looks at me more closely. “You know, not to sound conceited here, but you’re kind of leering at me right now.”

My chin snaps up like I’ve been hit, even as my body flushes with embarrassment. Shit. I totally had been leering. No, not leering. But I had been staring at him in awe. Ugh. “Well, you do sound conceited. I was simply making polite eye contact.”

Liar McLiar-Face.

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a brand new saga of forbidden love and second chances.

A Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after. Our family feud is the stuff of legends.

Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes.

I didn’t know or care what her name was.

Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man.

She hates me, and she should.

I objected on her wedding day.

Now she’s home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there’s no ring on her finger.

They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after . . . but I’m not done with Whitney Gable.

I’ll never be done with her.

Guilty until proven innocent.

That’s the way the world works, right?

I’m tired of being convicted without evidence, all because my last name is Gable.

The Riscoffs might own this town, but I’m done following their rules.

If only I could forget just how easily Lincoln Riscoff can drag me under his spell.

RELEASE DAY LAUNCH: REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY: One Wild Ride by A.L. Jackson and Rebecca Shea

One Wild Ride

The second sexy, stand-alone romance from bestselling authors A.L. Jackson and Rebecca Shea…

“Jackson and Shea knocked it out of the park with this one.”

-Seraphim Book Reviews

Amazon: http://smarturl.it/OWRAmzn2

Paperback: http://smarturl.it/OWRPaperback

Audio is Coming Soon!

Elle Ward, daughter of Hollywood’s hottest director, has sworn off actors for life.

She knows their games and she refuses to play them.

That is until the day she collides with one of LA’s most promising actors.

Kas Cowen isn’t looking for love until it literally runs him down.

One look at Elle and he’s hooked.

He crashes into her life and flips it upside down.

Now he has to convince Elle he’s more than just a pretty face.

Little did they know they were up for one wild ride . . .

My Review

Elle and Kas’ accidental encounter at the beginning of One Wild Ride turns both of their lives upside down in every imaginable way, and while Elle’s hesitant to give into her attraction to Hollywood’s next heartthrob, because she refuses to fall for another actor’s ‘charming ways,’ she can’t help but be seduced by Kas’ words and his easy-going attitude, which makes it just about impossible for Elle not to give into what her body and quite possibly her heart want and even need from this amazing man who isn’t willing to let go of their electric connection that he felt from their first somewhat awkward meeting.

Kas Cowen definitely has the ‘it’ factor and the way he smooth talks his way into Elle Ward’s life illustrates much more than his acting skills, and while there’s some bumps in the road as Kas and Elle learn to co-exist and Kas works to tear down Elle’s carefully constructed walls, their flirty banter and the sexual tension that surrounds them proves that it’s only a matter of time before they’re exploring one another in every way possible.

One Wild Ride is a fast-paced and passionate read – it’s a bit of a slow burn, which makes sense given how gun shy Ellen is, but it’s also beyond clear that she and Kas share something worth the risk and the more time they spend together, the closer they get and the stronger their feelings become, so as long as Ellen can get out of her own way and Kas can stand strong in the face of a stubborn yet beautiful woman then they’ll find themselves on a forever ride instead of a one time deal.
