RELEASE BLITZ AND GIVEAWAY: Lyric by Molly McAdams

Lyric is LIVE!

A stand-alone romance novel in the Rebel series – a Redemption series spin-off

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams delivers the first captivating, stand-alone novel in her REDEMPTION series spin-off—the REBEL series . . .
I’m not the kind of girl you forget.
I wish I was.
I wish I was normal.
That I could blend into a crowd. Have a future with the man I’ve loved my entire life…
Maxon James understands me in a way others can’t.
For as long as I can remember, he’s vowed that one day he would claim my wild, rebel heart. God knows I wanted him to try. I wanted the life he promised me in his lyrics.
But his assurances couldn’t change the past, and the infamous mafia blood in my veins guarantees my heart can’t be claimed.
Somewhere along the way, I slipped. I let myself believe we could have it all. Now a dark, menacing shadow hovers between us, mocking us for daring to hope for a normal future.
And it’s come to collect on a blood oath.
My name’s Elizabeth Borello—Libby for short. Don’t worry about forgetting it… He hasn’t.

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she’s not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm … or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren’t really happening.

Four guys.

Constant moaning.

And a revolving door across the college suite I somehow ended up in because my first name is Shawn.

They don’t discriminate. Girls. Guys. Grandmas. Plants (okay maybe not plants) all walks of life stroll in stressed to the brim, and leave so satisfied I’m wondering what sort of talents lie behind that door.

My roommate calls them the pleasure ponies.

But the rest of the college campus?

They just call them the new face of Wingmen Inc. A paid for relationship service that makes big promises.

Breakup? They’ll glue you back together again.

Depressed? They have the magic pill.

Lonely? Just spend a few minutes while they rub you down and you’ll forget all about it.

And broken hearts? Well, that’s their specialty. They’ll fix you

For a price…

I swore I wouldn’t get involved.

But apparently they like a challenge, and a girl who doesn’t put up with their BS is basically like waving a red flag in front of a bull.

They. All. Charged.

But one holds my attention above the rest.

Knox Turner looks like a Viking — and getting pillaged is starting to look more appealing by the day. Though he’s hiding something — all of them are. And the closer I get. The more I realize that some things are left better in the past.

You’ve read reverse harem books before — but you’ve never read one like this. It’s not what you think, or is it? Dive in and find out…

Knox, Leo, Finn, and Slater are waiting, and they aren’t patient men.

Welcome to the new face of Wingmen Inc — You’re welcome.

Excerpt

It was happening again.

The moaning.

I put a pillow over my face and screamed.

Not because it was too loud.

But because I kept wondering who was causing it. One? Two? All three? Leo and Finn had both tried to talk to me in class and at the coffee shop again. I’d brushed them off but been polite.

And Knox?

Well, let’s just say that Knox had suddenly turned over a leaf that said, “Go out of my way to make Shawn’s life miserable.”

He was suddenly everywhere.

And with a different female every single day.

It drove me insane.

Bat-shit crazy.

And he wasn’t even mine to go senseless over!

The moan happened again.

“That’s it!” I got up from my bed, stomped over to the door, and jerked it open. Then I pounded my way over to their room and almost took down the door with my knock .

When Leo answered, he grinned down at me. “Come to play?”

I gave him the finger.

His eyes narrowed. “I’m confused. Is that yes or no?”

“Agh!” I threw my hands up in the air. “I have practice tomorrow at five a.m. It’s three. I’ve had one hour of sleep. Can you please keep the moaning to a minimum?”

“You seem stressed.” He tilted his head just as Finn joined him in the doorway. “Doesn’t she?”

“Very.” Finn nodded then reached out and started massaging my right trap while Leo grabbed my hand and worked my fingers. It felt so damn good that I forgot I was pissed for about two seconds before I pulled away.

“No.” I jabbed my finger at each of their chests. “Shame on you. Stop using your skills to make me less crazy. I need sleep.”

“I could not agree more.” Leo put his hand over his chest. “If you want, I can come over and—”

“No!” I made a fist with my hands. “I don’t need you to help me sleep. I need you to keep your clients quiet so that I can sleep. Big difference.”

Knox appeared then and held out a pair of Bose noise-canceling headphones. “You can borrow them every Friday as long as you don’t set them on fire when you’re done.”

“Do you think I really want whatever STDs are crawling around the surface?” I hissed.

His eyes turned lethal. “Then I guess you won’t sleep.”

“Dun, dun, dun,” Finn sang in a low voice, just as a small lady who could pass as my grandmother made an appearance and shoved a fifty-dollar bill in Knox’s pants then patted him on his rock-hard six-pack. She had a full-on red wig perched backward on her head and cherry red cheeks with black glasses that she kept shoving up her nose. And her purse looked like something I would have seen on I Love Lucy. It was this giant black clutch that probably held cough drops and prunes.

“Thanks, boys.”

“Love you, Edna!” Finn called while Leo brushed a kiss across her hand.

She finger-waved at Knox and straight-up waddled out of the suite.

I stared after her, my jaw dropping with each step she took until she was out of eyesight.

“What…” I shook my head. “…I mean, seriously, guys, what?”

Finn’s eyes got serious. “She’s lonely.”

“She’s at least eighty!” I yelled, so exhausted I was actually arguing with crazy.

Knox got all up in my business and said through clenched teeth, “Her husband died a year ago. She’s not comfortable with internet dating yet. We’re easing her in because she wants a partner for life, someone she can laugh with, so if we can give her that one laugh, that nice touch once a week, we’re going to fucking do it. Now jump off that pedestal, take the damn Bose, and go to sleep.”

BLOG TOUR: REVIEW, EXCERPT, AND GIVEAWAY: STAR by BB Easton

Title: STAR
Author: BB Easton
Series: 44 Chapters
Release: April 12, 2018

About SPEED

Because BB Easton had so much fun writing her best-selling, award-winning memoir, 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN, she decided to give each of her four men his own steamy stand-alone. STAR is Hans’s book—a real-life rock star romance…with a twist.

In 1999, Brooke “BB” Bradley met her Prince Charming. He was the tall, tattooed, wickedly handsome bass player for the up-and-coming rock band, Phantom Limb. But, more importantly, he was hers. She knew it the moment he flashed her that shy, dimpled smile.

And he knew it too.

Hansel “Hans” Oppenheimer wore his heart on one sleeve and scrawled lyrics about BB on the other. Unlike the assholes of her past, he showered her with tenderness, took her places she’d never been before, and showed her the type of all-consuming love she’d thought only existed in fairy tales.

But, like any good fairy tale, BB’s road to happily ever after was paved with challenges, and right when she least expected it…it forked.

In 1999, Brooke “BB” Bradley met her Prince Charming.

In 2000, she met her soul mate.

Review

Star was my first book by BB Easton, and there’s just something so fresh and authentic about her writing and her storytelling, and while I think some of it stems from the perspective of her books, since she provides first-hand accounts, it’s also because readers can tell how liberating it is for her to share her life and her world with us because we all, on some level, can relate to the trials and tribulations that BB endures at various stages of her life.

Through BB’s experiences, readers get an insightful look at dating and all that it entails as well as the personal growth that comes with having one’s heart broken and then learning to live and to love again despite the fear and insecurities that come along with getting ‘back in the game.’

The focus of Star is on BB’s attempt to move forward from her past relationships and find away to not let her scars dictate how she views love in the present, and while it is undoubtedly a difficult task, it’s clear that the side of BB that still believes in love and living every minute as fully as she can wants to find that connection again…wants to be overwhelmed and wrapped up in over-the-top feelings because that is the kind of woman and partner she is.

Hansel “Hans” Oppenheimer is definitely an enigma, which works quite well since BB is as well; their connection is instantaneous, and from that moment, they can’t get enough of each other, and what they teach one another about life and love is something that they’ll never forget, even if they have to go their separate ways.

BB Easton’s story is definitely a unique experience; one that I thoroughly enjoyed. I adored all of the pop culture references of the 90s as well as the fact that she makes readers feel as ‘in the moment’ as she can by her vivid description and her first person retelling. The old adage ‘write what you know’ is an apt saying for BB’s writing, and I think it’s what endears the readers to her and her characters, and it’s also what builds the foundation for who BB truly is as a person and the aspects of her life that have shaped her the most.

Star is a whirlwind of a book; BB is such a free spirit and that resonates off of the pages of her story and because readers are present for every part of her relationship with Hans, we witness how it begins…hows it develops and progresses and all of its ebbs and flows as BB and Hans work through the complications of his profession and the scars BB carries due to what she has faced in her past.

If readers are looking for witty and charismatic characters as well as honest and insightful writing, BB Easton’s stories are a fantastic choice!

Light Years Away

You were onstage? Like, doing karaoke onstage?”

And just like that, my anger roared back to life with a vengeance.

“Uh, yeah. I fucking love karaoke.”

“Sorry. I just didn’t know you could sing.”

Ooh, you think you’re so goddamn special just because you have a talent. Like you’re the only asshole who knows how to work a stage. I have talents too, motherfucker. I have talents you don’t even know about. Like twerking. And making an ass out of myself. People love that shit.

“I can’t sing,” I snapped. “That’s why I rap. Anyway”—I let out an exasperated huff—“I ran over to break up the fight and got elbowed in the fucking face.” I winced just thinking about it.

Hans took my chin in his hand and turned my face toward his. His eyes were hard instead of soft. His jaw clenched and unclenched. Then he kissed me right between the eyes. Right on the place where it hurt the most.

Hans didn’t say a word. He didn’t have to. He was trying to appear concerned, but the anger radiating off of him and the disappointment in his eyes said it all.

I’d fucked up again.

He’d probably had fun that day while I wasn’t around. He might have even achieved his dream of being on the radio, for all I knew.

But I wasn’t there for the good parts.

I was only there to bring him down.

I opened my mouth to ask about his day when Hans pulled a Hans and changed the subject completely.

“Did you know that the stars are so far away that it takes years for their light to reach Earth?” he asked in a serious tone, gazing past me at the sky. “I think the closest star is four light-years away.” Hans’s eyes seemed to cloud over as if he were lost in thought, his mouth set in a straight line. “All of those stars could be burned out right now, and we’d never know. We’d just go about our lives, looking at the ghosts of dead stars every night, never knowing that we were already in the dark.”

A lump formed in my throat. “That was…beautiful.” I tried to swallow the uncomfortable bulge, but it didn’t budge. “You should write that down, baby. Here…”

As I dug in my purse for a pen, grateful for an excuse to hide my emotional face, I hoped and prayed that Hans hadn’t been talking about us. Lately, it felt like his light was always too far away, took too long to reach me. And now that it had arrived, I was beginning to wonder how long it would take for me to realize if it ever burned away for good.

The night I met Greer Palmer was no coincidence.
The plan was perfect.
Everything was in place. All I had to do was get her attention and the rest would take its course.
What I didn’t plan was my reaction the first time she spoke.

“Are you okay?”

Three little words…
That’s all it took for her to steal my breath and shatter every thing I’d expected.
She was supposed to be a spoiled socialite, a pampered princess, an elite heiress— anything other than the striking beauty that blew my misconceptions to pieces.

One kiss and I became obsessed.
One night and I became addicted.
One month and she became my world.
Suddenly, my plan wasn’t so perfect.

To her, I am sunset kisses, whispers of seduction, and promises of forever.

It’s all a lie…

I’m Lawson Hall.
My name and reputation speaks for itself as one of the most successful architects in the industry. Conceited, arrogant, egotistical, ruthless— I’ve earned it all.
In reality, I’ve bided my time, done my job, and waited my turn.
Now is my chance.

Greer thinks we met by accident, but she’s wrong.
Once the lies are exposed, will the truth be enough?

And then I found out exactly who he is—a man more dangerous than the devil himself.

Review

Welcome to the underbelly of New Orleans…a place where criminals reign and hold dominion over The Big Easy’s residents as well as have a pulse on everything that occurs in this decadent and dangerous city. But these alpha men and women are more than just their illegal acts and powerful positions, because the ones that Meghan March has introduced her readers to, have a honor code, so to speak, and it’s one that protects those they care for; it also solidifies the inner workings of a system that conducts business off the radar, keeping an eye on every decision made and action maneuvered because that’s how they stay alive when they live in a smoke and mirrors kind of world – one where death is always one step behind them because there’s always someone wanting to gain more power, and that can’t happen unless the higher ups are brought to their knees.

This is the kind of world that Meghan March has created since the beginning of her Beneath series, and as each new anti-hero is introduced and readers become privy to everything that makes him, him, we’re blown away by our love of these dangerously dark men, and we begin to understand just how easy it is to fall for them, even when we know the better option is to cut and run.

Temperance Ransom may believe that she’s Bayou trash, and she may not even truly understand her worth, but she more than makes up for her insecurities with her moxie, her stubbornness, and her strength. She is definitely a force to be reckoned with and that’s just fine for her Savage Prince because he’s so much more than what he allows others to see and as these two alphas get to know one another and reveal their truths to each other, they become a united front, which may or may not end up being the best thing for them both.

‘Wet work pays…’ That’s what Temperance and readers soon realize once she becomes firmly entrenched in Savage’s life, and while she may not completely understand why he does what he does, she can’t deny how alive she feels by his side and the fact that regardless of what happens, walking away might not be something she can do because he’s changing her life just as much as she’s changing his, but what that means for this Savage and his princess is unclear, especially with the turn of events that happen at the end of Iron Princess.

I continue to be blown away by Meghan March’s storytelling and world building. She takes readers right into the depths of hell, and strangely enough, we find that we quite like to be there because even though it’s a scary and dangerous place to be, the men who are at our backs, the same men who protect their women faithfully despite their confusing and sometimes heartbreaking methods, will always walk through fire and brimstone to claim the women who, unknowingly, have always been theirs.

4.5 Poison Apples

Who knew things could get even darker and dirtier in New Orleans? New York Times bestselling author Meghan March introduces the Savage Prince of the city, the man you never want to meet.

I do what I want and who I want. I don’t follow anyone’s rules—even my own.
I knew I shouldn’t touch her, but it didn’t stop me.
Didn’t stop me the second time either. Only made me want a third.
My lifestyle suits the savage I am, and she doesn’t.
But Temperance Ransom is my newest addiction, and I’m nowhere near ready to quit her yet.
I’ll have her my way, even if it means dragging her into the darkness.
Hopefully it doesn’t kill us both.

Savage Prince is book one of the Savage Trilogy, set in the same world as Ruthless King, however you do not need to read the Mount Trilogy to devour this scandalously hot new story.

But I’ll fight for it.

A HORRIFIC RECURRING NIGHTMARE IS THREATENING TO STEAL HER SANITY…

Dr. Corinne Cabot is living the American dream. She’s a successful ER physician in Chicago who’s married to a handsome husband. Together they live in a charming house in the suburbs. But appearances can be deceiving—and what no one can see is Corinne’s dark past. Troubling gaps in her memory mean she recalls little about a haunting event in her life years ago that changed everything.

She remembers only being in the house the night two people were found murdered. Her father was there, too. Now her father is in prison; she hasn’t been in contact in years. Repressing that terrifying memory has caused Corinne moments of paranoia and panic. Sometimes she thinks she sees things that aren’t there, hears words that haven’t been spoken. Or have they? She fears she may be losing her mind, unable to determine what’s real and what’s not.

So when she senses her husband’s growing distance, she thinks she’s imagining things. She writes her suspicions off to fatigue, overwork, anything to explain what she can’t accept—that her life really isn’t what it seems.

Review

Such Dark Things is the perfect title for Corinne and Jude’s story because it hints at the very nature of the story line, and in doing so, it leaves readers anxiously anticipating the messed up world they’re about to enter as they begin page one.

And let me tell you, Courtney Evan Tate places her readers in an extremely precarious position because as Tate’s main and secondary characters fully develop and ‘show’ their true colors, readers must delve through the uncovered information and determine what incidences are based in reality and which ones are more fantastical than anything else, which is not an easy task due to the very nature of the plot line and the number of players involved in the chaos that has become of Corinne and Jude’s marriage as well as the Corinne’s every vanishing sanity due to a chain of events that she has no recollection of except minute details that continue to lead her astray.

The most important question that I was desperate to answer was about how Corinne’s past and present align…I desperately needed Tate to fill in the holes of Corinne’s memory and in providing those facts/details, I believed that everything would make sense…that there would likely be reasons for all actions taken, and while to some degree, the clues do provide a sense of enlightenment; it’s not until everything has been laid bare that readers will truly be able to understand all characters’ true nature and why they played the role that they did in the storyline.

I was a bit apprehensive about how Tate would be able to provide readers all of the clues and necessary information required for the story to make sense, but Tate’s method for dispensing information, moving between the past and the present and offering both Corinne and Jude’s perspectives, actually worked quite well, and while I didn’t necessarily need Jude’s conflicted thoughts, it did lay some necessary groundwork because without Jude’s point of view, I’m not sure if readers would be able to accept Corinne’s decisions towards the end of the book.

It’s clear pretty early on that nothing and no-one is what it/they seem, and that’s what adds to the intrigue of the story. In order to truly understand all of the characters’ motives, readers need to be able to look at the big picture of events and use the clues to sort through the information because that is the only way that they will be able to unravel all of the chaotic events of the past and the present and reach some sort of cohesive resolution.

Such Dark Things is definitely a change of pace from my usual reading choices, but in some ways, it still has most of the attributes that I’m used to…they’re just a bit more suspenseful and thrilling. In other reviews that I’ve read, some reviewers bring up the fact that there is quite a bit of sex throughout the story line, which they feel doesn’t belong in a story of this kind…I don’t necessarily agree or disagree with them…how I see it is that any author has a poetic license to alter technical devices of his/her storytelling as s/he sees fit, and as long as its addition to the story line makes sense, it’s not really the readers call when it comes to what’s done; they, of course, can have expectations, but it’s still left to the writer’s discretion each and every time.

Corinne and Jude’s story will definitely challenge readers on a number of levels; it’s one wild ride that twists and turns in the unlikeliest spots, but once the resolution is clear, all of the sneaky maneuvers and foreshadowed information falls into place and the reality of the story becomes quite understandable, which helps to keep readers sane after the up and down experience of reading such a dark and highly erotic and suspenseful story.

I count the ceiling tiles in the night.

The light from the moon illuminates the dark just enough to see them.

From down the hall, I hear screaming, but that’s normal here. I’m under no illusions about what this place is.

I hear the nurses’ shoes as they scurry toward the noise, and I look again at the ceiling. There are over five-hundred tiles. I’m not sure of the exact number because every time I count, I get distracted.

I’m so lonely, and I know for a fact that I shouldn’t be in this room. I’m a physician. I should be medicating whomever is screaming.

But I’m not a doctor in this building. I have no credentials here. I’m a patient, like everyone else. It’s a difficult pill to swallow. It’s a fact that lodges in my throat and won’t go down.

With a sigh, I roll to my side, and stare at the wall. It’s white and stark, and the sheets beneath me are cold and thin. My bedding at home is luxurious and thick, spun Egyptian cotton, one-thousand thread count. It’s funny how accustomed I’ve gotten to nice things over the past few years.

During my childhood and med school, I didn’t have anything. Now, I pretty much have everything. And in this place, it’s a stark reminder of the differences between home and here.

The biggest difference of all is that I’m here, and Jude is not.

It’s hard to sleep without my husband. In all the years that we’ve been married, we’ve never been apart. We always sleep curled up together, our limbs intertwined. No matter how little we’re able to see each other during the day, we always wear each other like a second skin in the night.

I wonder if he’s struggling with this as much as I am?

I’ll ask him on Saturday.

God, I don’t get to see him until Saturday?

What day is it now?

With a start, amid my rambling thoughts, I realize I don’t know.

I don’t know what fucking day is it.

How long have I been in here?

One day?

Two days?

Three?

Four?

The walls close in on me, getting tighter and tighter, until I squeeze my eyes shut so that I don’t have to see them. The only way to survive this is to just plow right through it. I’ll do what they want me to do, and I’ll breathe, and I’ll talk to them, and I’ll remember, and I’ll get better.

I count, whispering, the monotony lulling me into sleep.

One one thousand.

Two one thousand.

Three one thousand.

The last number I remember is one hundred before I drift into the abyss of sleep.

“Cunt.”

The hissing whisper wakes me, and my eyes open wide, and I don’t know how long I’ve been sleeping. Minutes? Hours?

At first, I think I’m dreaming, but then I see the outline of a girl…a woman…in the chair next to my bed.

It’s dark so I can’t see her face, but her nail polish glints in the moonlight. It’s chipped around the edges. She chews her nails, and she seems so so familiar.

“Who are you?” I ask, a pit forming in the base of my stomach.

“Your worst nightmare.”

I sit straight up in bed, trying like hell to adjust my eyes to the dark, and in that one split second, she’s gone.

I scramble out of bed, turn on the lights, and the nurses find me moments later crawling on my hands and knees, searching beneath my bed.

“What are you looking for?” they ask curiously as they help me up.

“There was a girl in here…” I tell them, and they look at each other strangely because we’re definitely alone now.

“What did she look like?” one asks me as I crawl back into bed.

“I couldn’t see her,” I have to admit. “It was too dark. And her face…it seemed blurry.”

“Maybe you were dreaming,” one suggests.

“I wasn’t,” I insist. “I wasn’t alone.”

But they don’t listen. They turn off my light, and maybe I really am crazy.

I’m on edge for the rest of the night, watching and waiting for someone to appear, but they never do. My muscles are tight and coiled, ready to lunge out of bed again.

But I don’t need to.

She doesn’t come back.

I’ve got to relax. I’ve got to breathe.

I count my breaths until I finally fall asleep again.

The last breath I remember is number five hundred and four.

RELEASE DAY PROMO AND EXCERPTS: THE ROYALLY SERIES COLLECTION by Emma Chase

Prepare to be swept off your feet by The Royally Series Collection – three sexy, swoony, modern royal romances that will capture your heart, and satisfy your desire for a breathtaking happily ever after. Royally Screwed – By order of the Queen, Crown Prince Nicholas Pembrook has five months to choose a suitable bride. Then one snowy night, in New York City, he meets spirited and beautiful waitress, Olivia Hammond. Their whirlwind romance makes Nicholas question everything–who he is and who he wants to be–a King…or the man who gets to love Olivia forever. Royally Matched – Responsibility has never been Prince Henry Pembrook’s strong suit. So when an unexpected heap of it is dropped in his regal lap, he reacts accordingly–by secretly signing up for a reality TV dating show. Henry plans on partying his worries away. What he doesn’t plan on…is Lady Sarah Von Titebottum…the quiet, stunning, shy, librarian hiding behind a book. As Henry and Sarah grow closer, old words take on new meanings for the irresponsible royal. Words like Duty, Honor and most of all–Love. Royally Endowed – For years, broody royal bodyguard Logan St. James has watched over–and wanted–perfect, perky, beautiful Ellie Hammond, the younger sister of Princess Olivia. But he’s bound by loyalty to the crown and, of course, the golden bodyguard rule: Never lose focus, never let them out of your sight, and never, ever fall in love. But Logan and Ellie are about to learn that when it comes to passion and pleasure, rules were definitely made to be broken. Royally Raised– This sweetest of short stories focuses on Henry and Sarah, 20 years after the conclusion of Royally Matched.

Royally Screwed

“Would you like to have coffee sometime, Olivia? With me?”

“I don’t like coffee. Never touch the stuff.”

My eyes roll over the room. “You work in a coffee house.”

“Exactly.”

I nod. “Hmm, I see your point. It’ll have to be dinner, then. Are you available this evening? I could pick you up on our way back.”

She gives a jumpy laugh. “I thought you didn’t have time for”—she makes air quotes with her fingers—‘wooing’?”

“Some things are worth making time for.”

That catches her off guard, making her words stumble. “Well I… don’t… date.”

“Good God, why not?” I ask, horrified. “You’re stunning, obviously clever— you should date often, and preferably with a man who knows how it’s done.” I rest my palm on my chest. “Coincidentally, I happen to be fantastic at it. What are the odds?”

Royally Matched

“Every family has a wild child. Penny’s yours?”

Takes one to know one.

“Yes, definitely.”

He tilts his head, the sunlight making his eyes a deeper green, almost simmering. “And what about you? Is there any wild in you, Teet-bottom?”

My cheeks go up in flames. “Not even a little. I’m the boring one. The good one.”

His teeth scrape his lower lip and it looks . . . naughty. “Corrupting the good ones is my favorite pastime.”

I hug my book to my chest. “I’m not corruptible.”

His smile broadens. “Good. I like a challenge.”

Royally Endowed

Ellie Hammond’s not just the kind of girl who’ll leap off a cliff without bothering to look— she’ll take a running start and launch herself off it. Arms spread, head back. Free and alive.

No one is going to take that away from her— I won’t let them.

“You see the good in people, Ellie. You trust. That’s a good way to be, a brave way. I’ll watch more closely; I’ll make sure this never happens again. You just be who you are. Leave the rest to me.”

She wipes her eyes dry. “So it’s like a . . . you jump, I jump, Jack and Rose kind of thing?”

“No.” I take her hand in mine, brushing my thumb against her knuckles. “You jump . . . and I’ll be there to catch you.”

Royally Raised

My husband steps into the bedroom with a cloud of steam wafting behind him, rubbing a towel across his broad shoulders and damp head, wearing nothing.

“I mean, why did we think having five would somehow be a good idea? I don’t remember having that conversation. Do you?”

I glance over my shoulder, my eyes dragging up from his toes to his wild-green eyes. Henry will turn fifty this summer, but besides the sexy dusting of light gray that joins the blond hairs on his chest, he’s still taught and rippled in all the places a man should be.

I am a lucky, lucky girl.

“I don’t think conversing had anything to do with it.” My voice drops to a sultry level as I look him over. “It was more…you…always corrupting me with your wicked ways.”
