LUST-banner

LUST2New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart, brings together two polar-opposite single parents in the second book in the sinfully sexy Vegas Nights series.

Detective Adrian Potter had a lot to answer for. I didn’t care that he was tasked with shutting down the city’s most prolific hookers.

I cared that he was stopping me from providing for my daughter.

He didn’t care.
Not at all.
Until I broke down in the backseat of his car… And he let me go.

Adrian was a single parent, too. He knew how hard I had it. At least, he thought he did.
He had a job. He had people who cared. He didn’t know just how lucky he was.

My name is Perrie Fox.
I was a whore of the highest value.

Until Detective Adrian Potter.

Until the tattooed, redemption-seeking detective entered my life, looking for his fairytale.

The cop and the hooker.

Happily ever fucking never.

You’ve met one Fox sibling.
Now meet the other…

(LUST is book two of the Vegas Nights series. While it is a standalone, the time frame does overlap with scenes in the previous book, SIN. You can, however, read LUST without reading SIN.)

From New York Times Bestseller, Corinne Michaels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE romance novel.

However, that’s exactly where I find myself.

What’s a girl to do after a drunken mistake? Run. I grab my clothes and get away from the powerful, irresistible, and best-sex-of-my-life superstar as fast as I can. His gorgeous green eyes, rock-hard body, and cocky smile have no place in my world. My life is complicated enough.

Someone forgot to tell him that.

Eli is relentless. Pushing his way into my heart, wearing me down, proving he’s nothing like I assumed, and everything I need. But when my world shatters to pieces, he holds the broken bits together. Unwillingly, I fall desperately in love with him.

He made me think we’d have forever . . . I should’ve listened when he said we could only own tonight.

Big Shot - About book

To believe one person can change your destiny sounds absurd. But it happened to me… twice.

Ten years ago I had no idea what I wanted out of life, until I met Hannah Michaels. She was a computer-engineering student ready to conquer the social media world, and I was smitten. Even though I knew she was taken, I had to have her.

Being the big shot that I was, I didn’t let her status stand in my way. It wasn’t long before my hands were on her thighs and my name a whisper on her lips. This smart, sexy girl inspired me to greatness, helped me grow into the kind of man I never knew I wanted to be. The man I am today.

Too bad I hadn’t grown fast enough to keep her.

Moving on wasn’t easy, but I knew I had to let her go. Eventually, I found someone to share my days and nights with, and together we had a daughter. My life was nearly perfect until my world turned upside down.

A single father has challenges, and one of those is learning how to calmly deal with your child coming home in tears. I had no idea the day I pounded on my daughter’s classmate’s door, Hannah would be the one standing on the other side.

The wild, burning desire that rushed through my veins was unwanted, and yet impossible to ignore. Letting her in meant so much more this time around. Guilt hit me like a hammer. I hated myself. I hated her. The problem was I really didn’t hate her—I wanted her more than ever.

But this time around, I can’t have her.

This time it’s my status that stands in our way—and going up against myself just might be the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

Review

Jace Bennett and Hannah Michaels’ complicated relationship started over 10 years ago as college students, and their passionate connection sent them down a dangerous path – one that involved a three person in their physical relationship, even when he wasn’t around them to participate. But, as electrifying as Jace and Hannah’s bond seemed, harsh words, concealed information, and a failure to fight for each other destroyed both of them, leading their lives in very different directions and forcing them to move forward with severely broken hearts.

In present day, Jace is just as broken as he was after Hannah turned her back on him all those years ago, but this time, it’s due to the passing of the love of his life: his wife and the mother of his daughter. His wife helped Jace to become whole again, but with her loss, he’s back to merely existing and trying to find his way as a single dad and a successful business owner.

Kim Karr does a great job of illustrating just how conflicted and guilty Jace is when Hannah comes back into his life, and his hot and cold, up and down demeanor and actions perfectly depict a man who doesn’t know how to let go of his wife and move on, especially with someone who he loved before her.

To understand the precarious position Jace finds himself in when he knocks on the door of his daughter’s bully’s house, it’s essential to have knowledge of his and Hannah’s shared past. Most of their history is told through Hannah’s perspective, and as readers, we gain insights into the complexity of her feelings for Ethan as well as Jace, understanding, back then, that the only way Jace can remain in her life is if they continue to walk the fine line between cheating and exploring the kinkier side of sex, even though it’s quite obvious which one of the men Hannah belongs with then and even 10 years later.

Hannah may have thought that Jace was a “Big Shot” in college due to one encounter with Jace’s family, but the Jace of present day is actually a bigger “Big Shot” and he did it all on his own, building his own company from the ground up and building a family with his wife who he thought he’d have forever with, even though that’s not how it ended up.

I like how Kim Karr exposes Hannah and Jace’s past but doesn’t use it as the reason they are struggling to have any kind of current relationship…the past might not have been able to stay there, but it’s not the dividing line it used to be, and both Hannah and Jace seem to understand that even if they can’t seem to figure out how to move forward now that they’re back in each other’s lives.

Big Shot is a story that deals with a lot of life changing events and issues that could destroy any person who had to endure them; they’re realistic situations and they’re ones that would make people question their actions and second guess every word and every move they make. But in the end, Jace and Hannah’s narrative is one that shows two people finding each other again after a plethora of highs and lows and attempting to figure out what a forever could look like if they were able to deal with the events that happened and find a new version of their happily ever after.

RELEASE BLITZ AND REVIEW: A Little Bit Like Love by Brooke Blaine

SBPRBanner-ALBLL-RB

A Little Bit Like Love, an all-new sexy STANDALONE MM romance from Brooke Blaine is LIVE!

ALBLL-PRINT-FOR-WEB

A Little Bit Like Love by Brooke Blaine

Publication Date: July 27th, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance/MM Romance

What if you had everything in the world you wanted…except the man you’d left behind?

Jackson Davenport, the charismatic, strait-laced heir to the Davenport fortune, has a secret. One he’s been hiding since he graduated from South Haven all-boys academy—and that secret’s name is Lucas.

When a work trip takes Jackson back to his old stomping grounds, memories of the year he shared with Lucas come crashing to the surface. With growing pressure from his father to settle down and take over the family business, Jackson knows he’s on borrowed time, and sets out to find the free-spirited daredevil he once knew.

But Lucas isn’t the same man he was eight years ago.

One night. A shattered heart. And an endless parade of nameless faces. Lucas Sullivan is South Haven’s ultimate playboy, a reputation he’s honed since the only boy he ever loved left without a trace. To the world, he’s brash and confident, an in-demand artist who spends his days designing one-of-a-kind pieces and his nights as king of the downtown scene.

Many have tried and failed to get past the barrier he’s carefully constructed, but it’s the shy, studious boy he once coaxed out of his shell who still haunts him.

Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe it was lust. Or maybe…it was a little bit like love.

Review

The first book in Brooke Blaine’s South Haven series tells a story about a once in a lifetime connection/bond that’s dramatically severed due to a father’s domineering and prejudicial ways, categorically altering the lives of two young men who no longer have a choice as to whether or not to pursue the strong feelings they felt for one another, despite only being in high school and unsure of what they could become.

For the past eight years, Lucas Sullivan and Jackson Davenport have had to redefine their lives, especially when it comes to romantic relationships because the heartbreak they endured due to their forced separation as only seniors in high school forced one to put up a multitude of walls to never again feel the pain of losing someone and the other created a grand illusion of his life, suppressing his true wants and needs and settling for something else simply because he felt he had no choice.

Sex God. Manwhore. Bad boy. Empty. Lonely. Nameless fucks.

These are the words that describe who and what Lucas became once Jackson left South Haven and seemed to never look back. And boy does he seem like the arrogant ass he wants everyone, including himself, to believe he is. Brooke Blaine does a fantastic job of illustrating Lucas’ contrary characteristics. He’s not the same man who Jackson knew all those years ago; he’s cynical and jaded, and his ability to construct a barrier around himself to not allow anyone close has definitely worked, but Lucas’ self preservation actually sabotages all kinds of relationships, reaffirming just how callous and arrogant his self-created facade is and making sure his mask of indifference remains in place even when his past invades his present and threatens to tear down his carefully constructed walls around his heart.

Jackson’s last name has defined his life since he was born; his father set his son’s life path long before Jackson could even voice his opinion and the underhanded manipulation kept Jackson in line, even when he didn’t want to be. For far too long, Jackson has allowed his love and respect for his father to cloud his decisions, forcing him to live a life that was never about his true wants or needs, but what would look good in society’s eyes. But fate stepped in to give Jackson another chance with the one person who ever made him truly feel alive, foiling his father’s plans providing Jackson with an avenue to see clearly for the first time in his life who his father is…who his father wants Jackson to be…and who Jackson knows, deep within, who he truly is without his father’s orchestrated plays.

Brooke Blaine creates an amazing group of characters and a multifaceted plot line in A Little Bit Like Love. Because readers are privy to both Lucas and Jackson’s perspectives, they’re able to understand the reasons behind the lifestyles Lucas and Jackson choose to live and how alone and incomplete they feel living those kind of lives. Lucas and Jackson were forced apart when things between them were only getting started, but now that they have a chance to reunite and truly see what they could become, the risks, especially for Jackson, are even greater than they were all those years ago, which means that if Jackson isn’t strong enough to voice his wants and needs, there’s no hope for anything between them but a few nights of sex.

I adored Lucas and Jackson’s story; it’s sexy and angsty and it illustrates how paramount it is to be true to oneself at all costs. And, even though Lucas is a bit of a hothead and acts before he thinks on a number of occasions, his two friends, Bash and Shaw, were there for him when Jackson couldn’t be, and I CANNOT wait for their stories!

About Brooke Blaine

You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a-holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her ‘quiet time.’ Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas.

She is the author of Flash Point, a romantic suspense standalone, as well as the co-author of the erotic series, A Desperate Man, with Ella Frank. The latter has scarred her conservative southern family for life, bless their hearts. Licked, a romantic comedy, will be released November 11th, 2015 and is the first in the L.A. Liaisons series.

If you’d like to get in touch with her, she’s easy to find – just keep an ear out for the Rick Astley ringtone that’s dominated her cell phone for ten years.

SBPRBanner-StarStruck-RB.jpg

Star Struck, a sexy, standalone from New York Times Bestseller Laurelin Paige is live!

LPStarStruckBookCover55x825_MEDIUM

She uses her fame as a wall around her heart, and only he can tear it down.

Seth Rafferty knows Heather Wainwright’s type.

Demanding. Check.

Self-important. Check.

Leggy and blonde. Yeah, he knows the drill.

He’s been a Hollywood production designer far too long to have patience for A-listers with a superior attitude. Beautiful women with a chip on their shoulder are a dime a dozen.

Which is why his obsession with Heather makes no sense. Nothing about her is attractive.

Except the vulnerability under the sass. The honesty under the attitude.

So when wrap-party flirting gets carried away, Seth doesn’t stop it from turning into a sizzling night of passion. Too late, he realizes, one night isn’t going to get her out of his system.

On to plan B: uncover the real woman under the diva.

Soon Heather will find out that Seth isn’t just a simple carpenter she can use and lose without consequences. He’ll play the part of the builder, but it’s her walls he intends to break down.

Review

The true definition of star struck is being “captivated” or “completely overawed” by someone’s celebrity status. The irony of that word when it comes to the hero and heroine’s initial interactions and relationship in Laurelin Pagie’s latest release, Star Struck, is that the only feelings that Seth Rafferty has for Hollywood diva, Heather Wainwright, are ones that prove just how underwhelmed he is being in the presence of such a pretentious bitch!

Heather has lived her life singularly focused on making herself a star and proving to herself and to her parents that she can accomplish anything she sets her mind to, regardless of who she has to step on in her rise to stardom. Heather’s determination, though, makes her appear to be a vain, bitchy, and high maintenance actress – one who never lets her guard down or stops acting like the mega witch she seems to be because the risk of letting anyone past her walls is too great a risk, at least that’s what her life has shown her for more years than she cares to count.

But interestingly enough, the woman Heather is beneath her movie star mask is the woman Seth’s intrigued with, and she’s also the one he’s willing to wade through the bullshit that seems to surround Heather’s life. The only problem is getting Heather to let her guard down long enough to prove to Seth that she’s way more than what she appears and that undoubtedly his first impression only scratched the surface of the woman behind the prima donna facade.

Contrary to their rocky start, Seth is perfect for Heather. He sees past her smokescreen and doesn’t give into her neuroses. His past was just as bad as Heather’s was, but the way he chose to not be defined by what he lived through is much different than how Heather dealt with it. Seth is a strong, intelligent, successful man who loves the work he does. He’s been burned by love before, so the feelings he has for Heather make him feel quite conflicted. He wants her, but he doesn’t want to, at least at first, and because of his inaccurate first impression, their relationship starts off with a lie, but as Heather’s defense mechanism is lowered by Seth’s caring ways, how can he reveal the truth without fearing losing what they’ve slowly built?

Star Struck is a fun and sexy read. The interaction between the main characters is full of sexual tension, attitude, and angst. I loved witnessing Heather’s transformation from diva to someone who rose above her past and became a better person for it. I’m sure some readers will form the same opinion of Heather that Seth did and that view might stay with them even after Heather begins to change her attitude and her ways, but Laurelin Paige perfectly illustrates who Heather was before Seth came into her life and who she is now that he’s destroyed her walls and revealed the beautiful, loving, fun, and somewhat dramatic woman that she’s always hid beneath her carefully constructed layers.

Readers can’t go wrong with this steamy and intriguing read, and Seth Rafferty will definitely have readers star struck!

About Laurelin Paige

USA Today and New York Times Bestselling Author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She’s also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn’t do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.

“See, there you go calling me pet names and I still don’t have one for you. Unless you change your mind about buggah…”

“No,” he said, sliding his fingers into her damp hair. “I rather you say to me, na’u `oe so I can say it back.”

“What does that mean?”

He hesitated, only for a moment, the smile lighting up his face lowered, as though unsure if he should tell Lily the truth. She held her breath when he moved his thumb across her lower lip and then Keilen nodded, decision apparently made. “It means ‘you’re mine.’”

“That…” Her breath shuddered then, and she shook against him. “That’s what you want me to say?”

“That’s what I want you to mean.”

The kiss, when it came, reminded Lily of the first one he’d given her, all those years ago on Tommy’s dance floor. There was no Kiki there to force her to say stupid, inappropriate things. There was no Kona smiling like he knew what Keilen wanted to do to Lily once they left the bar. There was only the press of Keilen’s naked chest against her and the warm, smooth glide of his fingers on her back, pulling her close, sinking into the sandy ocean as he lowered his head and moved his mouth to hers.

She had meant it, that ‘your mine’ promise a thousand times in her dreams. She’d spoken it proudly to him anytime he moved through the hallways and half glanced at, half ignored her. She’d wanted to say it a million times before that night on the beach, but had never had him close enough; had never believed he’d want to hear anything similar from her.

But there she stood, under the rich moonlight, letting Keilen Rivers steal her breath, ravage her mouth like a predator she warmly welcomed. She’d say it a thousand times just to keep him close. She’d say it a million more because it was true.

“Keilen?” she said, holding his head still when he didn’t seem able to break away from her kiss. He grunted low, the only response he gave her. “I mean it.”

He didn’t answer. Instead, Keilen stared down at her a little breathless, stretching his neck so that Lily saw the steady quickening of his pulse as he watched her. A look, it seemed and a small confession, could shift this man’s world and leave him dumbfounded. It was a power Lily would have never believed she could wield. But there she was, holding him, that perfect fantasy, between her trembling fingers, living in a daydream on that dark autumn night, meaning the things she’d spoken with a bravery she never really had.

And he believed her. Maybe she believed it too.

Eden Butler is an editor and writer of Mystery, Suspense and Contemporary Romance novels and the nine-times great-granddaughter of an honest-to-God English pirate. This could explain her affinity for rule breaking and rum.

When she’s not writing or wondering about her possibly Jack Sparrowesque ancestor, Eden patiently waits for her Hogwarts letter, edits, reads and spends way too much time watching rugby, Doctor Who and New Orleans Saints football.

She is currently living under teenage rule alongside her husband in southeast Louisiana.

This was supposed to be a hot summer fling. Sex and fun without commitment—that’s what we called it. But we were wrong. This is more. I’ve never felt this way about a woman. Never cared more about someone else’s happiness more than my own.

I love her and I’m happy. So damn happy… until a terrible mistake from my past springs forward and threatens to rip us apart.

There are a million reasons for her to leave me. And trust me, she should. But all I really need is one good reason for her to stay.

Excerpt
Unedited and subject to change

Oh my God. Someone needs to explain to me how I’m supposed to eat when I’ll be alone with Porter in his condo. When I know for a fact that he’s going to kiss me. He’s said as much. And there won’t be anyone around to keep us from doing a lot more whatevering.

Porter opens the door and catches me around the wrist as we enter the condo. He’s going in for the kiss first thing.

He pulls me close and then turns us so my back is pressed against the door. “I can’t wait another minute for this.”

His hands cup my face the way they did during our first kiss. Although it’s a repeat move, it’s no less romantic this time around.

I quickly lick my lips and Porter presses his mouth to mine before sucking my bottom lip into his mouth and holding it between his teeth.

So hot and sexy.

I place my hands on his chest and the pec muscles I feel beneath the fabric are rigid. This man works out. A lot. I would love to see all the goodies that are hidden beneath this shirt.

We make a game of biting and sucking each other’s lips. It’s fun and playful.

Until it’s not.

Our kiss is no longer teasing. It’s heated and demanding with increasingly harder hand grips and squeezes. His hands move to my hips and he uses them to steer my body to the sofa while kissing me en route. He walks backward and sits on the sofa, leaving me to make my own decision about how I want to be positioned.

Beside him?

Across his lap?

On top, mounting him?

I place a knee on each side of him and lower my body to straddle his. His hands move to my hips and he grips the sides, moving them so I’m rocking against his hard cock pressing against my crotch.

One of his hands leaves my hips and comes up to wrap around my nape, pulling me down so his mouth can reach the side of my neck. His mouth is sucking pretty hard. I’m certain I’ll wear a love bite there for all to see. Not sure how I’ll explain that one but I let him continue.

“Tell me to stop and I will. Just say the words.” He’s talking about stopping but his mouth is kissing and sucking and nibbling harder.

I grasp the sides of his face and press our foreheads together. “I like what we’re doing. Don’t stop.”

“I don’t know your limitations.”

“I’ll tell you when you’re there. For now, keep going.”

“Fuck… Frankee. The way you make me want you… it’s irrational. Makes me lose all sense of self-control.”

Porter lifts my body and flips us so I’m beneath him. His face is pressed against the side of my neck leaving kisses in its path. One hand slides under my shirt and dips into my bra. He rolls my nipple between his thumb and index finger and it instantly hardens. And it’s like a control center for everything between my legs.

I want his hands on me.

I want his mouth on me.

I want him on me, period.

I bend my knee and bring my leg up so it’s wrapped around his waist. His body conforms between my legs like two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that connect perfectly.

We just fit.

REVIEW AND EXCERPT TOUR: Stubborn as a Mule by Juliette Poe

Down in Whynot, NC, there are three things that hold true: 1) life moves just a little bit slower, 2) family means everything, and 3) you don’t mess with history.

When his family decides to sell a home that’s been part of their history for over a century, Lowe Mancinkus is madder than a hornet. To add insult to injury, the woman who purchased it is some fancy pants, city girl looking to fix it up and sell it off. Doesn’t matter that she’s sexy as hell or that just being near her gets his blood racing like never before. That home belongs to his family, or at least it did until she came to town.

Well that just won’t do, now will it?

From the moment that she laid eyes on the historical home in rural North Carolina, Melinda Rothschild knew Mainer House was something special. The perfect escape from life in New York City, Melinda signed the papers and set to work restoring the house to its natural beauty. That is until an angry Lowe showed up on her doorstep one day. With a scowl on his handsome, chiseled face. And a shotgun in his strong, muscular arms.

Is it getting hot in here?

Melinda’s about to get a lesson on life in the south, but Lowe is about to learn a lesson of his own – this city girl doesn’t back down from a fight.

Review

Stubborn as a Mule is quite an appropriate name for a hero and heroine who hold steadfast to their principles, refusing to budge on any aspect, even when their personal squabble turns into a courtroom showdown after a few hundred nails and some hot pink paint turn Mainer House into a war zone. And while Lowe and Melinda’s inability to see one another’s stance on this issue leads to pushing each other’s buttons with malicious words and intolerable actions, the outcome of the judge’s decree forces Lowe to accept what the circumstances are and to realize that Mely’s plans for Mainer House and for her life may be exactly what Lowe needs to move past losing the house because it just might gain him everything he never knew he wanted.

Lowe Mancinkus is a southern boy through and through and while his unhappiness with a Yankee coming to Whynot and purchasing Mainer House brings out his ornery side, he’s actually an easy going and intelligent man who knows his manners and uses his southern charms to prove his gentle and caring nature.

Melinda Rothschild may be a New Yorker who comes from money, but she’s not the ice princess people assume she is by her reaction to Lowe’s changes to the outside of Mainer House, which is exactly what Lowe figures out once he accepts Mely’s purchase of the historical home and her plans for it.

Lowe and Mely’s relationship may have started out on the wrong side of the law and with them butting heads over a property that Mely lays claim to, but it turns into something truly magical once they both realize each other’s true nature and how much they enjoyed riling one another up. And, once their connection is explored without them being a thorn in each other’s side, all of the bad feelings dissipate and their journey to something meaningful begins.

Adding in the Whynot citizens’ gossip mill to the chapters of Lowe and Mely’s story provides readers with an onlooker’s perspective of what’s occurring between Lowe and Mely and what their actions seem to mean, at least to those who like to manipulate what people say and do according to what they believe it suggests about the situation. Including a few townspeople’s views and then illustrating how quickly those thoughts spread to become more than just speculation is an important aspect of this small town and the cost of everybody wanting to know everybody else’s business even when they don’t truly understand it.

Whynot, North Carolina, is quickly becoming one of my favorite fictional small towns because Juliette Poe does a great job of illustrating all of the nuances that make it the southern community that it is, even the negative qualities it possesses such as its close-minded nature when it comes to people and actions that they’re unaccustomed to. And while Lowe and Mely could probably do without the gossip mongers of Whynot and a few citizens’ closed-mindedness, its charm, slower pace, and historical relevance make it the perfect place to revel in its past and look to make and share new memories with each other.

Excerpt

“Looking good, Lowe Mancinkus,” I hear a woman call out as I stretch upward to paint the top of the frame around the window. Turning my head to look over my shoulder, I see Lynette Carnes getting ready to walk into Sweet Cakes across the street. She’s our town’s very own Daisy Duke. By that, I mean she struts around in miniscule jean shorts, high heels, and a sleeveless blouse tied off just underneath her very ample chest.

She’s definitely nice to look at, although she doesn’t have much going on above the cleavage.

“Morning, Lynette,” I call back. “Lookin’ good yourself.”

She grins and blows a kiss at me before walking into Larkin’s shop.

The front door opens and Mely steps out onto the porch, carrying a cup of coffee. There’s no doubt in my mind she witnessed that exchange from the other side of the doorway. It’s obvious by the pinched expression she has on her face. Still, she brings the coffee over to me and sets it on the porch rail.

“Thanks, darlin’,” I tell her as I go back to brushing paint over the layer of primer I’d put on a few hours ago. I’d decided to work half a day here at Mainer House, not because I was anxious to get the work done, but because I wanted to be around Melinda Rothschild.

She may not be strutting around in little shorts and a low-cut blouse, but she is most definitely a prettier picture than I’ve ever seen around these parts. She’s wearing a white sundress with a halter top, and her shoulders are lightly tanned with tiny freckles. Her legs are long, bare, and perfectly adorned with nothing more than a pair of simple white sandals. Her silky blonde hair is pulled away from her face at the top of her head and she looks like a breath of fresh air.

Mely leans against the porch rail, crosses her arms low under her breasts, and watches me work for a minute. I wonder if she likes what she sees.

I think so.

There was going to be another kiss last night if Morri hadn’t managed to ruin that little moment. And while I’d never stoop to mention this to Mely, I’m pretty sure he’d been hovering at the top of the stairs, just waiting to ruin it.

“Much better than hot pink,” Mely says as I continue to apply paint to the casing. I have no clue what the hell I was thinking when I painted her house pink. It was an attention getter and since the two people whose attention it got were Mely and Judge Bowe, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out I might have been pulling on her metaphorical pigtails a bit.

“I should have this finished by tomorrow,” I tell her. “Then all will be right again.”

“Odd since it took you a single night to do the damage,” she quips. I don’t look back at her, but I hear the laughter in her voice.

“Well, neon pink isn’t all that easy to cover up,” I tell her with a laugh.

She snickers and I can’t believe she was trying to get me thrown in jail last week. My how the mighty have fallen.

“When in Rome and all that,” Mely says and I turn to look at her from my perch on the ladder. She jerks her chin over her shoulder in the direction of Sweet Cakes. “Is that the standard southern girl uniform?”

Chuckling, I cut my eyes over to Sweet Cakes where sexy Lynette just disappeared into. I’m not about to tell Mely that I have actual carnal knowledge about that southern girl, even if it was back in my younger years.

Looking back to Mely, I take in her stylishly sweet dress that doesn’t reveal much but is still sexy at the same time. Giving her a wink, I say, “There’s nothing standard about you, Melinda Rothschild, so I’m advising you to stay away from that look. I think you’re mighty fine just the way you are.”

Juliette Poe is the sweet and swoony alter ego of New York Times Best Selling author, Sawyer Bennett.

A fun-loving southern girl, Juliette knows the allure of sweet tea, small towns, and long summer nights, that some of the best dates end sitting on the front porch swing, and that family is top priority. She brings love in the south to life in her debut series, Sex & Sweet Tea.

When Juliette isn’t delivering the sweetest kind of romance, she’s teaching her southern belle daughter the fine art of fishing, the importance of wearing Chucks, and the endless possibilities of a vivid imagination.

Welcome to the release of Trixsters Anonymous by Ahren Sanders

about the book(2)

Sassy, dramatic, hot-headed are just some of the words used to describe me since the time I was born. A few little mishaps growing up and my mom has a running ‘Emerson Baker’ prayer circle, and I have the reputation of a spit-fire that won’t go away.

I prefer the terms loyal, passionate, fiery, and possibly a bit impulsive.

So when my best friend proposes the concept of starting our own business, I jump on the idea.

CHEATERS BEWARE!

That should be our motto… because your secrets can’t stay hidden for long with Trixsters Anonymous on the case.

We are the moonlighting duo hell-bent on helping those who suspect their lovers are cheating. We’re professional, careful, and completely anonymous…What could possibly go wrong?

Walker Scott… that’s what goes wrong.

I never stood a chance against the gorgeous, hazel-eyed, fiercely determined man who storms into my life and completely blindsides me.

He’s the proof that opposites attract—and when they do, the chemistry is explosive.

Did I mention he’s also a detective? A very, very, talented detective?

Pretty soon being a Trixster is a lot more complicated.

RELEASE DAY 2 Trixsters Anonymous Teaser 4-2

Review

I had the privilege of reading Walker and Emi’s story early, and it was absolutely amazing…it’s not a typical Ahren Sanders’ story, but that shouldn’t dissuade readers from one-clicking it because whether Sanders writes an angsty drama or a smexy comedy, her character development and intriguing story lines are what keep readers coming back to her stories time and time again.

Walker Scott will have a multitude of readers claiming him as their favorite book boyfriend because he’s one fantastic hero; he’s an alpha male to his core, but he also knows when to be sweet, always listening to what Emi needs and absorbing the things she says about her hopes and dreams in order to make them come true.  He’s a man who isn’t afraid to claim the woman he has wanted from his very first glimpse of her, regardless of how many warnings Walker receives about the sassy vixen’s attitude and others’ ‘a bit of a handful’ remarks. He’s EVERYTHING Emi could wish for, and there’s not a time in the story where I ever disliked his actions, even if they were a bit over the top at times…Sanders makes readers perfectly aware of Walker’s dominant and controlling personality, so there’s no surprises when he exerts those characteristics throughout Trimesters Anonymous.

Emi is one feisty heroine who keeps everyone around her on their toes because she’s prone to raise holy hell when something riles her. She’s definitely a free and independent spirit who is not only a quick thinker, but she also has both street sense and common sense, even though sometimes she gets herself in trouble because she acts without thinking. She’s a passionate woman – one who loathes and loves to the extreme and that idea is displayed numerous times throughout her story. Emi’s relationship and bond with her best friend, Maren, is an important facet of the story, and it’s their connection and their ability to work together for a common cause that has them moonlighting as ‘vagina vigilantes’, and their ‘cases’ definitely place them into some sticky situations – ones that will have readers laughing out loud as well as feeling a bit disturbed by what Emi and Maren encounter.

The chemistry between Walker and Emi sizzles from their first interaction, and it’s easy to see that they’ve found their ‘one’ in one another because every look, every touch, every dirty and sweet word only brings them closer and more connected. Ahren Sanders does a fantastic job in developing Walker and Emi’s relationship, and even though everything seems to happen in warp speed, it fits their personalities and the idea that once a person knows who they want to be with, there’s no sense of delaying what will make them happy and loved, and it’s crystal clear that what they’ve found in each other is everything they never knew they wanted and needed to feel whole.

Trixsters Anonymous is a sweet, sassy, and steamy read that will have readers laughing, smiling, and wishing they had their own Walker Scott; there are quite a few subplots amidst Emi and Walker’s main plot line, but none of them distract from the central story; in fact, they feed into it, showing a variety of sides to their personalities and proving just how much they add to one another’s lives.
