Synopsis

Legal Briefs is the perfect book for me because it has my two favorite things – witty humor and hot sex scenes. I’ve read all three books in the Lawyers in Love Series, and while I really enjoyed Gabrielle and Braden’s story, I knew when Lily and Adam were introduced that I was going to love their story. What’s not to love – Lily and Adam have known each other since childhood, and they have been each other’s arch nemesis just as long. Their love/hate relationship continues into adulthood, but because their best friends are either married or dating, they find themselves spending more time together, and with each interaction, their sexual attraction towards one another grows until finally they give into their feelings and decide to give a relationship a try.

Lily Adler is my kind of heroine. She’s feisty and quick witted. She definitely didn’t hit the parent lotto, and while it makes her feel alone, she still tries to live her life for herself, which makes her a strong and independent woman. I love the fact that she writes erotic romance novels on the side, and when Adam finally wises up and starts a relationship with her, he’s very happy with the “research” she needs to do for her books;)

Adam Roth is your typical bachelor, playing the field and loving every minute of it – that is until his friends start settling down, and he realizes that his dream girl has actually been right in front of him all this time. Once Lily and Adam start dating, readers see a softer side of Adam. He’s caring and protective; he wants Lily to know that they can make a relationship work, and he won’t leave her. His classic one liners also add to his appeal.

A bit of mystery and zany experiences are a staple in the Lawyers in Love Series, so it’s no surprise that Lily and Adam’s story is full of dangerous incidences, quirky situations, and a deranged cast of neighbors and acquaintances, which all add to the comedic aspects of the text. They may seem a bit eccentric or corny at times, but that’s exactly what I love about it!

Legal Briefs is a fantastic story that blends a bit of mystery and suspense with a whole lot of sarcastic banter and steamy scenes. By creating a great cast of characters and interesting and comical storylines, N.M. Silber’s Lawyers in Love Series keeps getting better and better, and I, for one, can’t wait to see what she has in store for us!
