Slade and his angel’s story comes to a close in Uncontrollable, book 3 of Shantel Tessier’s Undescribable series. It’s been quite a journey with these two and all of their friends since readers first met them, and through all of the loss, secrets, crazy exes, and bizarre situations, Slade and Sam have fought to be together, and it’s only fitting that they get the send off they deserve.

Slade’s transformation from the manwhore without a conscience to a man who would willingly sacrifice himself for the woman he loves has been quite an experience. When he first met Samantha, he attempted to get her to join a threesome, totally clueless as to what she would mean to him when everything was said and down. As a defense attorney, he always thought there was a gray area in every situation, but the more he and Sam had to endure grievous acts at the hands of the type of people who he would defend, he changes his perspective on things, and it allows him to understand that there should be a punishment for misdeeds against others. Slade is still the same hot headed, passionate man, but its focus is now on protecting those he loves instead of looking out for only himself.

At the beginning of the series, Samantha is a broken woman due to Jax’s treatment. Jax bossed her around, and she willingly followed. As the series progresses, readers watch Sam’s personal growth. She becomes an independent woman who loves fiercely, protects those she cares about, and thankfully, at the end, decides to stop running. Her relationship with Slade gives her everything she’s ever wanted, and although they have their fair share of arguments, their connection is not one that can be easily broken despite how hard they themselves or others try to destroy it.

Another aspect I love about this series is Slade and Sam’s friends and family. Micah, Holly, Josh, Courtney, Tate, Missy, and even Parker add so much to the books, and as readers witnessed Slade and Sam’s relationship grow, we were able to watch the ones their friends had blossom as well. Tate and Missy’s book is next, and after his treatment of her in this one, he has some kissing up to do for me to not want to hurt him. Parker is quite the wild card, but just in this book, his growth is demonstrated, so I will eagerly await his book as well.

It’s been a crazy ride to get Slade and Sam to their happy ending. They’ve had to endure a tremendous amount of trials that have tested their faith and love for one another. Through it all, though, it always comes back to the fact that they were meant to be together.

Shantel Tessier’s Undescribable series is a well written set of books that illustrates what people are willing to do for love. In the three books, readers will find a great mix of drama, hot sex, and a group of likable characters whose conversations are both comical and endearing.

Even though their story may have ended; hopefully, we’ll see Slade and Sam in Tate and Parker’s stories because I’m just not ready to say goodbye to them completely.
