Unchain My Heart is book 2 in Jani Kay’s Scorpio Stinger MC series. It continues Ryder and Jade’s story, Harrison’s drive to take out the MC club, and both worlds desire to keep them apart. It also dives deeper into the drama between the rival clubs and further questions what Ryder’s role is with the Scorpio Stingers now that he’s decided his life is with his princess.

In book 2, there are many stories being simultaneously told with multiple point of views, which in some texts can be confusing and chaotic, but that is not the case in Unchain My Heart. Harrison’s role in Ryder and Jade’s story is crucial to understanding Jade’s connection with Harrison as well as his animosity towards Ryder and his club. Harrison’s voice is critical; his words are necessary to understand the depth of his anger and his thirst for revenge. He lives and breathes it, and he’s the only one who can make readers understand his perspective. Ava is a new character to the story, but her role is also vital because she can possibly mend and bring together the two sides. No one knows much about Ava, so in order for her to become a necessary facet to the storyline, her story also needs to be told, and she’s the only person who can play that role.

While there is a lot more than just Ryder and Jade’s story in this book, their journey still remains front and center and what Jani Kay puts them through is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. The growth that both Ryder and Jade experience in this book proves what they are willing to do for one another and how far their relationship has progressed since their first meeting where they detested one another.

The awesome part about this series is that Ryder and Jade’s story is still being written, and while readers live it with them, we are also pulled in to secondary characters’ storylines that shed light on past and present circumstances that affect Ryder and Jade along with a multitude of others. This means that the characters are extremely well developed and the complex plots interweave to tell one hell of an MC story, and I can’t wait to continue not only the biker and his princess’s story, but also those characters who will look to help and hurt them as well.

Jani has been married for a long time to a special man, and her two children and their partners are the sunshine in her life. She is a voracious reader and would spend her last dollar on a book – always fascinated that for the mere price of a book, she can escape her world for a while and see through someone else’s eyes.

Besides reading, her favorite ‘thing’ is traveling – she has traveled the world, learning about the ways people live and has come to the realization that no matter where we live, we all ultimately want the same things. Her hobby – Scrapbooking – keeps her up till way after midnight and her usual subjects are her family and her travels.
