Synopsis
When the sun disappeared, the world was cast in shadows, hiding the evil that lay in wait. When it was dark, I hunted. The shadows caressed my body as I did things I could never do in the light of day.
Eighteen-year-old Bree Bowen has spent her entire life training and working as one of her father’s assassins. Fear has kept her and her best friend, Wes, under her father’s thumb—until now.
When Wes takes matters into his own hands, securing Bree a new identity and a plane ticket to America, he gives her the one chance she’s been desperately seeking.
Learning to live a new life isn’t easy. Add in her new roommate, Reid, who just happens to be a stripper, and things start to get a little crazy. Falling for a man has never been part of her plan, but she can’t seem to stay away from Reid.
When Bree’s past comes crashing back into her life, secrets that she’s fought to keep hidden are revealed, and she’s forced to choose between Reid and the life she could have with him, or Wes, the one man who has always loved her unconditionally.
Regardless of her choice, she must learn the consequences of sin.
This book will be a standalone.

Review
For eighteen years, Bree Bowen has been trapped under her father’s tyrannical control. She’s been a solider…an assassin for the London Mafia, and she’s been trained and given the tools to deceive and kill.
Bree is defined by her sins – every kill…every sinful act has consequences – ones that now threaten to destroy her new identity and life.
As Bree Reynolds, she seeks a fresh start – a clean slate if you will, but when one’s life has been filled with nothing but death and destruction, it’s only a matter of time before the sins of the past seek retribution for a future that shouldn’t necessarily exist due to the consequences of one’s actions.
Bree may know how to kill and deceive, but she is extremely innocent about all other aspects of the outside world. When she escapes to the United States, she has the ability for freedoms that she’s never experienced before and one of those new experiences comes in the form of Reid Simmons, a hot as hell stripper who becomes her roommate and then so much more, but when her past catches up with her, will Bree’s lies and unforgiving father ruin any hopes of a future free from her old life, forcing her to face her sins and perhaps pay the ultimate price for her misdeeds?
K.A. Robinson created a great heroine in Bree. Her father tried to create her to be a cold blooded killer who feels nothing, but she was not cut out for that kind of life, and Robinson does a great job of showing her conflicted emotions as she struggles to make her life her own in Texas. She’s a ballsy woman who knows how to kill a man but doesn’t really know how to be in a relationship, but she’s also not afraid to learn. She is looking to redefine herself and feel every possible emotion she can because that’s how she takes back her life and lives freely. Her relationship with Reid helps her to grow and learn, and her friendship with Wesley and the bond that they share proves more advantageous for her new life than anything else. I always love a heroine who can take care of herself and Bree fits that description well.
The Consequences of Sin is a great read with a perfect blend of suspense, romance, and intrigue. I enjoyed watching everything play out, and I would love to see Wesley get his own book. His point of view at the end of the text shows who he is at his core, and there’s definitely a complex story to tell.
