Review
Penny Reid’s writing and Kaitlyn and Martin’s story captured my attention and my heart from the very beginning of the series and the way Martin fights for what he wants in Capture only endears him more to him. He’s definitely a top book boyfriend, and Kaitlyn and Martin are a couple that I would love to see more from.
Much of Capture is about Kaitlyn’s self-discovery…about her realizing where her passion lies and learning how to accept those feelings and align them with her logical mind. It’s about Kaitlyn finding her purpose…her place and running head first into it without allowing her over active mind to trip her up and stifle her progress.
But Capture is also about Kaitlyn finding her way back to Martin and understanding that they are much better together than they are apart. There’s a lot to work through, and for much of the story, it doesn’t seem like they will ever get back on the same page and realize that they help each other be better people…help each other work through their feelings, open up and explore their passion and their reason and learn to find a balance between them.
Reason and passion seem to be contradictory ideas, especially when it comes to Kaitlyn’s over analyzing every aspect of her life, but what Capture shows is that both aspects of living are vital to being happy and connected to the person who makes your life better for being in it.
I absolutely loved this series, and I can’t get enough of Penny Reid’s writing. Her quirky heroines and endearing heroes as well as her flawless writing and intriguing storylines continue to enthrall me, and I just can’t get enough!

SEX! It all started with sex, between my parents. Personally I don’t like thinking about it, but whatever works for you is a-ok with me. No judgment. The sex happened in California and much of my life also occurred in that state until I moved from the land of nuts (almonds), wine, silicon… boobs, and heavy traffic to the southeast US. Like most writers I like to write, but let’s get back to sex. Eventually I married and gave birth to 2 small people-children (boy-6, girl-4 as of this writing).
By day I’m a biomedical researcher with focus on rare diseases. By night I’m a knitter, sewer, lino block carver, fabric printer, soap maker, and general crafter.
