It’s only just begun.
Circumstances brought them together and their undeniable connection won’t let them part. But when the past and the present collide, emotions run high—things are said, lines are crossed, and rules are broken. Both focused on crushing the enemy, the retribution is almost too much to bear. Still, there’s no undoing what has already been done, and every action has a consequence.
He loves her and she loves him, but love isn’t a shield.
Sometimes your only choice is the one you’d rather not make. Pushed to the limit, the tainted love of Logan and Elle is in jeopardy. Review
A life for a life. That’s the way of the mob, and unfortunately, that’s a deal that Logan knows too well, and it’s an idea he refuses to allow to touch Elle because regardless of how quickly their relationship progressed, she’s his, and he’s not willing to sacrifice Elle for anyone, including himself.
The stakes are high in the conclusion of Kim Karr’s The Tainted Love Duet, and the outcome could go either way because there are a lot of players in the game, both known and unknown, who serve as a threat to the happiness that Logan and Elle seek. The truth is definitely not what it seems, and until Logan can unravel the clues and be released from the sins of his past, both Logan and Elle can be crushed, not just by the acts of others, but also from their own fears and anger.
I knew that Logan and Elle were going to have to overcome a lot of obstacles to truly be together in the end, but I never imagined all of the secrets, lies, threats, and danger that would become a constant as the days continued, and Logan worked to secure their safety once and for all.
Kim Karr weaves a meticulous story of suspense, passion, and heart stopping action. There’s a lot on the line for both Logan and Elle, including their relationship, and readers get to see firsthand what and why they’re willing to risk it all for those they love.
Logan has intrigued me since the very first meeting, and he becomes even more dynamic in Crush. His dual life had the power to defeat him, but his role as protector helps him to not drown in his mistakes and do his best to ensure that he has a future with the woman he loves. I loved watching his mind work as he struggled to understand the truth behind the lies and deception. Logan’s strength and confidence allowed him to keep fighting even when the world around him was turned on his side, and he was forced to deal with events and actions that would have conquered a lesser man. Elle comes into her own as well in Crush. She uses Logan’s love and strength to help her unleash the warrior inside her and not allow the fear to consume her. It’s not easy for her but as long as she knows Logan has her back, she pushes forward.
I’ve always loved Kim Karr’s writing, but her Tainted Love Duet truly proves how gifted of a writer she is. There’s never a dull moment in Logan and Elle’s story and readers are on edge throughout the entire text wondering how the actions and truths of others will affect them, and if they’ll make it through all of the danger that threatens to destroy them.

Kim Karr is a New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestselling author.
She grew up in Rochester, NY and now lives in Florida with her husband and four kids. She’s always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, she wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. She went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise her family. Kim currently works part-time with her husband and recently decided to embrace one of her biggest passions–writing.
Kim wears a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of her family. However, she always finds time to read. One of her favorite family outings was taking her kids when they were little to the bookstore or the library. Today, Kim’s oldest child is seventeen and no longer goes with her on these, now rare and infrequent, outings. She finds that she doesn’t need to go on them anymore because she has the greatest device ever invented–a Kindle.
