Series: The Gibson Boys #1
Author: Adriana Locke
It’s not the busted headlight and dented grill that’s sunk her though. It’s the downright sinful man in front of her that’s the problem. The small town mechanic is broody. Rough. Smells like engine grease and gasoline and Sienna isn’t sure why that’s so sexy, but it is. It so is. She’s ready to peel off her panties at the drop of his wrench.
He wants her too. She can feel it when he brushes against her. Experience it as he presses her against the wall of the shop. It’s thinly veiled in his deep, brown eyes when he looks at her like she’s everything he’s ever wanted. So why
won’t he give in?
The damage to Walker’s truck is the first of many mistakes between the two of them, ending with truths that rock Sienna’s world. Nothing can fix her broken heart except the love of a man that won’t, maybe even can’t, love her back.
Crank is a standalone romance in a new small town, blue-collar series from USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke. Join readers everywhere as they fall in love with the delicious Gibson Boys.
The Gibson Family may appear to be the perfect antithesis to the Landry Family, but their similarities far outweigh their differences of social position and monetary status. Family loyalty, strong work ethic, and solid familial bonds make both these families what they are and that’s why even though they live in two very different cities and live very different lives, when it comes to who they are at their core…what they value…what they live for…and what they’ll do to protect their own, the Landry and Gibson men and women complement each other amazingly well.
Walker Gibson isn’t anything like the sophisticated, well-groomed men Sienna Landry has grown up with and that’s exactly why she can’t get him out of her head.
There’s just something about a man who works with his hands day in and day out and who isn’t afraid to get dirty in the process of rebuilding or revamping the vehicles that are in need of his expertise. Walker’s work ethic and intelligence are what keep customers coming back to Crank, and the sense of brotherhood that he’s created not only with his family members but his friends as well allow him to deal with the stressors of running his own business and help him to keep the darkness at bay…a darkness that readers know is present but don’t quite clearly understand, but what’s clear is that his past defines certain parts of his present and is responsible for his hot and cold demeanor when it comes to wanting and needing Sienna in his life.
Sienna Landry’s always been a bit of a free spirit, finding her way in life by experiencing all that it has to offer. It seems like she’s always had a bit of wanderlust, but she might just have found her place with a certain grouchy grease monkey, but that’s only if she can see through his cold exterior and stand firm on who and what she wants even when she finds herself with a multitude of questions and very few answers.
Adriana Locke wrote the perfect set-up to immerse Walker and Sienna into one another’s life, and despite her snarky attitude and witty retorts, she doesn’t negate her responsibilities, even if it means dealing with a grumpy boss who’s doing everything in his power to not fall for her. But the Landry siblings know how to go after what they want and don’t quick until a victory is within their grasp.
Once again, Locke creates dynamic supporting characters who are essential to the progression of the story line and pivotal to helping Walker and Sienna see things clearly when everything gets turned on its head, causing a significant amount of heartache and frustration.
The Gibson brothers are a force to be reckoned with and god help the women who they set their sights on or vice versa because each one is full of piss and vinegar and don’t always fight fair…then again, if the other heroines are anything like Sienna Landry, the guys are going to have their hands full in the most delicious and dirty ways.
