Misadventures is a romantic series of spicy standalone novels, each written or co-written by some of the best names in romance. The stories are scandalous, refreshing, and, of course, incredibly sexy. They’re the perfect bedside read, a ‘quick blush’ for the reader who loves a page-turning romance.

My Review

As the series’ title suggests all of the stories include a ‘mishap’ or an ‘unfortunate incident’ that helps shape and define the main characters involved, and in terms of calamity causing situations, there’s nothing riskier, nothing that could lead to misfortune like a forbidden romance – the secretiveness, the risks, the worry…all of it makes this kind of story exhilarating and intense, because at any moment, the couples’ relationship could be made public and then both of their lives would be irrevocably changed.

Zandy Lynch and Oliver Graeme’s initial meeting is one that these two will not soon forget, not just because of the hot and sweaty sex they experience only hours after meeting each other, but because what was supposed to be one-night becomes something altogether different when Zandy finds herself not only working as Professor Graeme’s research assistant but also as his star pupil between the sheets, and boy do these two respect the idea that practice makes perfect;)

I’m a huge fan of Sierra Simone’s storytelling and the ease in which the sexy and kinky scenes she crafts seamlessly become necessary facets of the characters’ burgeoning relationship because as Oliver helps Zandy awaken and explore her sensual and sexual self, she allows him to fuse the two sides of himself – the intellectual man and the kinky and generous lover, and it’s because they seem to understand what each other needs despite their age difference and their unique characteristics that makes them perfect for each other regardless of other people’s prejudicial thoughts, the authoritative position he has over her, and the fact that she has a plane ticket to head back home at the end of the summer.

Misadventures with a Professor is full of kinky goodness delivered in a fast-paced and entertaining story; Sierra Simone fans will adore this book because it showcases what readers have grown to love about her writing  – a solid story line with sizzling and sensual sex scenes that illustrate what the characters come to mean to each other and why they can’t get enough of one another’s minds, bodies and hearts.

Meet the Author

Sierra is a voracious reader of all things including the smuttiest smut, young adult, piles of non-fiction for research, and everything Bill Bryson (especially on audio).

She loves writing the dirtiest things that she can think of, King Arthur, sparkling water, Tarot, coffee, leggings, and learning new words daily.

Her previous jobs have included firing ceramics, teaching living history lessons in one-room school house in full, 1908-approved school marm attire, and working as a librarian for several years—not in that order

She lives in the Kansas City area with her hot cop husband, two children, and two giant dogs. (And two cats, but they’re so naughty we don’t talk about them.)

The social media she cares about the most are Spotify and (her very very NSFW) Tumblr. Following her in those places is a true love language, indeed.
