CAR CRASH by T. Gephart (Collision Series, #2)
Kitty was not only beautiful but also incredibly intelligent—except when it came to relationships. It seemed if a guy was a loser, corrupt, deadbeat or unavailable, she was completely and utterly attracted to him. She definitely had a “type,” and all of them had been one bad decision after another.
Dallas had trouble of his own. Finding women wasn’t a problem—he could charm the pants off almost anyone—but most of those “pantless” women ended up being a few bananas short of a fruit basket. Not always the best candidates for his sex-without-strings philosophy. He was one date away from ending up a 60 Minutes special.
While both of them were at the top of their game professionally—she a high-powered executive assistant, and he one of the best tattooists in the city—their personal lives had become a dumpster fire.
No one in their right mind would have suggested they join forces to help each other wade through the crazy. Surely that was a recipe for disaster? But without reason, logic or even sanity on their side, they decided to do it anyway.
It was a hot mess primed for a head-on collision.

Dallas and Kitty are absolutely hot messes on their own accord, so when these two decide to join forces and be each other’s wing person, taking one another’s back, deciphering the code of the opposite sex, and experimenting with the theory of getting to know someone before jumping into bed, they’re bound to get more than they bargained for…
And, as the story continues to play out, it’s clear that these two are headed towards a cataclysmic crash – one that will definitely change the dynamics of their friendship/relationship and one that might even help them figure out exactly what they could mean to one another if they’re willing to complicate and to commit to the right person instead of the multitude of bad decisions they’ve made in the past.
I adore heroines who defy society’s perception of them, and that’s exactly the kind of female lead that Kitty is. She may be beautiful and a free spirit, but she’s also intelligent and driven, and yes, she might not have the best taste in men…perhaps even needing a bit of an intervention, but in all other ways, she’s as genuine as a person can be, which is why Dallas is still attracted to her even after they spent their one-night together.
Dallas is way more than his cocky attitude and non-committal behavior implies, and while he is most definitely a guy who doesn’t want complications in his life, the fact that Kitty accepts him for who he is makes him see her as a worthy risk to his player persona. Dallas is quite the entertaining male; he holds nothing back and he owns up to the guy he is, which is refreshing and also endearing because one can’t help but be amused by his one-liners and over-the-top demeanor. But the man he is when he’s with Kitty is the one that will have readers swooning over him and hoping he wakes up and realizes what’s right in front of him.
Two people who are attracted to one another cannot be anything but complicated, especially when they attempt to put Mason’s theory to the test, and while it turns out way more complicated than either of them probably wanted, it also feels natural and amazing and it proves the experiment correct in a multitude of ways…now if only Kitty and Dallas could express to each other what they’ve already admitted to themselves.
Car Crash is a humorous and steamy read that illustrates what people are willing to give up when they find their ‘person’ and watching Kitty and Dallas put both their heads and their hearts into their little experiment was absolutely hilarious and the few little twists added into the story line made for an entertaining story.

She’d tell you all about it, but the statute of limitations hasn’t expired yet. But all those crazy twists and turns have led her to a career she loves—writing romantic comedy.
When she isn’t filling pages with sassy and sexy characters with attitude, she’s living her own reality show in the ‘burbs of Melbourne with her American husband, two teenage children, and her fur child—Woodley.
She loves adventure, to laugh, travel, and strives to live her life to the fullest.
