Malum Part One (The Elite King’s Club book 4), an all new dark romance by Amo Jones is NOW LIVE!

“Love is savage, love is blind, love is something they may not find…”

Once upon a time, there was a young girl who lived in a battered trailer, a girl from the wrong side of the tracks.
One day, she fell down The Elite Kings’ rabbit hole. Sucked into a dark vortex of lies, hate, and deceit, and spat out by money, glitz, and power.
There were things this little girl didn’t know, things she was about to find out and secrets that have been kept from her. Those secrets were guarded by the boys that were about to smash her world open and tear it all apart…
He may be a Malum, but she is a Stuprum, born into this world but neglected by the choice of her mother. Her eyes may not glisten with stars, but they roar with fire, and when she finally reaches her peak, it’s that same fire that will burn.
My name is Tillie Stuprum, and my story is not like the rest.
Everything she thought she knew is a fabricated version of the truth. I’m Nate Riverside-Malum, the one your girl whispers about to her friends and whose initials are scratched down your back. Her story is not like the rest of them, because her story is dead.

My Review

What in the hell did I just read???

I’ll ask again…what in THE HELL did I just subject myself to???

Don’t get me wrong, I loved every fucked up, chaotic minute of it, but my mind is more than a pile of mush right now, and it’s been that way since I finished this decadently dark and twisted read, which is why it’s taken me a bit to get my thoughts in order, and they still probably aren’t going to be as coherent as they should be because as Amo Jones laid out the first part of Nate and Tillie’s story, I got caught up in the chaos…in the unfiltered conversations…in the reckless behavior that the characters have grown accustomed to…in the multifaceted plot line that will continue to be revealed and explored in book two.

There’s a lot to unravel in Malum, and the fact that Amo Jones makes it so damn difficult to find the truths amidst the lies…the reality amidst the facades…the incorruptible behavior amidst the reprehensible acts, which means that the ability to understand where Nate and Tillie’s story is headed is impossible because Jones doesn’t follow a straight path, veering in all different directions until the very end of part one.

Malum’s characters, in fact all those involved in the Elite Kings series, are absolutely products of their environment, which means that their words and their actions may deviate from what people would consider typical for people their age, but that’s to be expected given the expectations and lifestyles of this crew of eclectic and outright unique individuals.

The amount of layers that exist in both Nate and Tillie’s personalities, not only speak to their complexities, but also to the idea that these two are definitely still forming their individual identities, deciding who they want to be, what they stand for, and where they belong, and for this reason, the highs and lows that they experience feel authentic and help to illustrate the mixed bag of endless possibilities in front of them.

It’s mind boggling to think that Nate has a side of himself that he hides so well and the fact that Amo Jones crafted his personality in such a way that demonstrates who he is beneath the persona everyone knows him for makes him quite the intriguing alpha male.

Tillie is absolutely Nate’s other half, so much so that she’s the main reason Nate’s ‘softer’ side is exposed. Watching these two characters together left me in awe with just how perfectly imperfect they are for each other and the fact that they offer one another a connection that will never be found with anyone else.

I have my theories headed into part two, but I think I’ll keep them locked away a bit longer, so if I’m completely off base, I won’t feel like an idiot because if I’ve learned anything about dark and diabolical reads is that they don’t usually follow a linear path, which means all kind of kinky and abysmal fuckery can happen!

About Amo Jones

Amo Jones is a small country girl totally winging this author thing (she’s probably doing it all wrong). She likes cake, loves wine, and her religion is magic. She’s a profound work-a-holic, but when she’s not writing, you can find her chilling with her kids & partner at the nearest beach, with a cocktail in her hand.

New Zealand is not a state of Australia and rugby is the best sport ever played.
