Melanie Harlow’s newest romance couple – Blair Beaufort and Griffin Dempsey – meet in the unlikeliest of ways, but what’s most intriguing about these two together is that they couldn’t be more different, which Griffin catches on to quickly. But while his brain tells himself to not get involved, he doesn’t listen and that not so simple decision brings all kinds of craziness his way, in both positive and negative ways.
Griffin is more than a little rough around the edges, but there’s a reason for him living the way that he does and it’s those choices that have kept him at arm’s length from everyone in his life until a certain beauty turns his life and his town upside down.
What I love most about Blair is that she’s more than ready to take control of her life and not have it dictated to her. But while she yearns to go it alone and find her own way in the world, she doesn’t factor in making an unexpected stop in Bellamy Creek and finding a broody gorgeous man who she’s willing to put it all on the line for, even while she figures out who she is and what she wants in the process.
Drive Me Wild couldn’t be a truer phrase for Blair and Griffin’s relationship – something that he refused to even acknowledge until it was beyond clear that he was way in over his head in all of the best ways.
