My Review
Ever since Tillie Cole introduced readers to her collection of badass bikers, The Hades Hangmen MC, I’ve always been intrigued by Tank’s backstory because it’s been made clear that part of Tank’s past doesn’t mesh well with what the Hangmen stand for, and even though it’s more of a quip now, it was definitely a point of contention when Tank entered the biker world and hoped to find a place in the Hangmen’s version of a family.
Shane Rutherford’s path to becoming Tank and a welcomed member of the Hades Hangmen is one of violence, murder, and confinement. Until he was 17 years old, Tank didn’t know what a family was or how it had the back of every one of its members, and even though his first glimpse of it was with the KKK, it does give him a taste of brotherhood and a feeling like he belongs. But I can’t help but be glad that he found the truth hidden in the lies of the Klan, and while he may owe them for originally finding him a new way to live, his choices upon his release from prison are his own and each step after that, especially when he ties himself to a certain beauty queen sets him down a road of true brotherhood and unconditional love.
Prim and proper Susan-Lee Stewart was searching for her own freedom when she hopped on the back of a biker’s ride, never looking back or regretting her decision to leave her mother and her beauty pageant lifestyle behind, and even though she looks the part of a beauty queen, underneath her exterior is a biker’s old lady – one who’s ready to be claimed by a man who loves with every part of his soul – and together, they find beauty amidst the chaos, danger, and destruction, and even though their new world may not be on a righteous path, Tank’s Beauty understands exactly where she is and the truth of her circumstances, and she wouldn’t change any part of it because not only does it give her Tank, but it also gives her a purpose, a sense of family with the other old ladies, and a love that that she feels in every part of her body, her heart, and her soul.
I absolutely adored getting to know who Tank and Beauty were before they got their nicknames and found their family, and even though their previous lives were not easy, they made the choice to change their circumstances and finally found beauty within themselves, within the brotherhood of the Hades Hangmen MC, and within the hearts and souls of each other.

About the Author
Tillie Cole hails from a small town in the North-East of England. She grew up on a farm with her English mother, Scottish father and older sister and a multitude of rescue animals. As soon as she could, Tillie left her rural roots for the bright lights of the big city.
After graduating from Newcastle University with a BA Hons in Religious Studies, Tillie followed her Professional Rugby player husband around the world for a decade, becoming a teacher in between and thoroughly enjoyed teaching High School students Social Studies before putting pen to paper, and finishing her first novel.
Tillie has now settled in Austin, Texas, where she is finally able to sit down and write, throwing herself into fantasy worlds and the fabulous minds of her characters.
