My Review

I’ve been eager to get to know the last Arrowood brother…the Hollywood star…the one who never planned to return to his hometown once he left for California without even a backward glance. And as much as he wanted to get his six months’ sentence completed so he could return to his movie star lifestyle, he never planned on a certain single mom and her kids turning his world upside down and making him rethink every aspect of his life. 

What I loved most about Breanna was the fact that despite the tragedy she has had to endure, she still finds joy and happiness in life and does her best to stay strong and upbeat for her children, knowing how much they depend on her. That doesn’t mean, though, that she doesn’t have her moments of grief or that there’s not sadness still in her eyes; it’s only been about a year since her husband’s death, so she’s still trying to accumulate to not only being in a new town but also being near her husband’s family without him being there as well. 

Regardless of the bad timing and all the reasons why something between these two wouldn’t work, it’s clear fairly early on just how drawn to one another Jacob and Breanna are and that connection only grows as their story continues but when a final decision needs to be made, it’s unclear how they move forward…together or apart. 

The title of Jacob Arrowood and Breanna Allen’s story, Stay For Me, has multiple connotative meanings and all of them center around making Sugarloaf their forever home, staying for not only each other, but for a litany of other reasons…but none of them will matter if these two don’t let go of what they feel their lives are supposed to be instead of what they could be together.  

I have enjoyed every minute I’ve spent in Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania, so the fact that The Arrowood Brothers series is over is bittersweet because it means saying goodbye to this sweet little town and its inhabitants, but I’m excited to see the new worlds that Corinne Michaels will create and fall in love with new heroes and heroines.

My Review

Sierra Simone’s Thornchapel series has had her readers hooked from the very first book, and as we delve even deeper into the main story line, moving the plot forward, but also complicating what we already feel for the characters and everything that has already unfolded, things get even more complex, ensuring that nothing will ever be the same for any of them. 

Facing the unknown and finding much-needed answers has been what has driven the six main characters of this series, and while what’s been revealed has completely altered their lives, the fact is, this final showdown is a matter of life vs. death, which means that the stakes have never been higher, not just for the group but for all those around them as well. 

And let me tell you, the way that this book and its scenes unfold will leave readers on the edge of their seats, not truly knowing what the resolution/outcome will be until the characters are there, in the thick of it, battling the past, facing the present, and hopefully, learning how to cope in the future. 

Sierra Simone is what I consider a smart romance writer; she has a natural way of storytelling that allows the world and characters she creates to wholly envelop readers, making it paramount that we learn all we need to in order to understand what’s at stake for everyone involved.

I will never get enough of Simone’s words and stories; I’m already anxiously waiting to see where she will take readers next.
