And he picks me.

Two weeks to land the scoop of a lifetime? I’m not about to let a little unresolved sexual tension stand between me and my big break.

OK, a *lot* of sexual tension.

Can I figure out Austin’s secrets – before they break my heart? And will this off-limits romance find a way to become something real?

Find out in another hot romance from Katie McCoy!

All-Stars Series of standalones ft. alpha men and smart, sassy women:

1. Royal Player

2. Hot Bachelor

3. Heartthrob

4. Sex God

Review

The Austin James that Mia Stevens remembers is the typical rock god; one that revels in the money, the fame, and most importantly, the women, but now that he’s trying to make it as a solo artist, he’s attempting to prove that he’s ONLY about the music, which is easier said than done when the media wants to typecast him as the same old rockstar, but this is where Austin needs a certain stubborn and driven journalist to help him prove to the world who he is beyond the bad boy rockstar that the world sees him as.

There’s a bit of history between Austin and Mia, not only is he Mia’s brother’s best friend, but Austin and Mia shared one kiss 8 years ago that left Mia wanting more with a man who’s known as a one and done guy for a reason.

There’s definitely a lot of push and pull between Austin and Mia as soon as they reconnect and while their time together is supposed to be strictly professional, it’s clear that they’re still sexually attracted to each other and feel a connection that has never been there with anyone else.

With both Austin and Mia’s careers at stake, a bevy of secrets to bring into the light, as well as the forbidden aspect of any kind of romantic relationship between them due to a certain big brother, it’s unclear what will become of the sexual tension that constantly surrounds them, but one thing is for sure, the journey of the sex god rockstar and the sweet and sassy journalist will be a mixture of sweet, steam, and a little bit of angst.

Secondary characters are always an integral part of any romantic comedy, and Katie McCoy creates quite the supporting cast, in Sex God, friends/family who try to keep the main characters level headed as well as help them see the error of their ways, giving them the subtle nudges they need and certain moments of enlightenment that the hero and heroine can’t seem to get to on their own.

Sex God is another comical and sexy book in Katie McCoy’s All-Stars series; it’s a quick and entertaining read that will having readers shaking their heads, laughing out loud, and getting a bit hot under the collar…if you know what I mean;)

EXCERPT REVEAL: HERO by Lauren Rowe

Hero, an all-new sexy standalone romance by Lauren Rowe is coming March 12th!

A standalone contemporary romance in the MORGAN BROTHERS SERIES from USA Today Bestselling Author Lauren Rowe. The story of firefighter Colby Morgan that proves heroes come in many forms . .

The first time I laid eyes on Lydia Decker, I couldn’t speak. Or breathe. Or string two coherent thoughts together.

And I don’t mean any of that figuratively.

I’m not talking about a guy being floored by the sight of a gorgeous woman-although, of course, Lydia is gorgeous beyond words.

No, when I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker-my physical therapist-I was lying flat on my back in the ICU, high as a kite on painkillers, breathing on a ventilator, my bones as broken and splintered as my spirit.

When I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker, she was a ray of light in the dark. Hope for the hopeless. A salve for my singed and battered soul.

She said she’d been assigned to fix me. That she was there to bring me back to life. She said helping me was her calling.

And then she touched me. Physically, emotionally, spiritually. She healed me.

And I fell in love.

But what I didn’t know . . . what I couldn’t possibly know . . . was that Lydia Decker needed fixing far more than I ever did.

Excerpt

“Okay, everyone. I’m sorry to shut this party down, but it’s closing time at the bar. Colby and I have some physical therapy to do.”

Relief floods me. That’s exactly what I was wishing she’d do-clear them all out so we can be alone.

Goodbyes are said. Hugs are administered. And, finally, blessedly, it’s just Lydia and me. “Alone at last, Mr. Morgan,” she says, taking the seat next to my bed.

I slide my hand in hers. “Alone at last, Miss Decker. There is a God.”

She smiles. “You might not say that after I get through with you. Some of what we’re going to do together is going to be extremely frustrating for you, I’m sure.”

“Bring it, beautiful lady. As long as you’re the one administering the torture, I’ll enjoy every second of it.” She rolls her eyes.

“Okay, Mr. Flirty Pants. Enough with that. Let’s get serious for a second. Okay?”

I smile broadly. “What? I can’t say you’re beautiful? Because you are. You’re drop dead gorgeous, actually. I’ve never seen a more spectacularly gorgeous woman in my life.”

She’s fighting not to smile too big and it’s adorable. “Thank you. Sweet of you to say. Incredibly ridiculous, but sweet. Unfortunately, though, we don’t have time to sit here and talk about my earth-shattering beauty all day. You’re not my only patient.”

“I wish I were.”

“So do I.”

My heart lurches.

She clears her throat. “I shouldn’t have said that. Forget I said that.”

She blushes. “Momentary insanity brought on by your outrageous charm.” She takes a deep breath like she’s pressing some internal restart button. “Okay. In all seriousness. This is going to be a long, hard road for you, Colby. But I want you to know you’re not walking it alone. Inch by inch, step by step, I’ll be right here with you, okay? My job is helping you get back to being you as quickly as possible.”

Electricity surges through my veins, and not because of her words. Because of the zap I feel through the touch of our palms. Her incredible energy is physically palpable. “Thank you,” I whisper, my eyes locked with hers, my fingers zipping and zapping with the influx of her energy into my body. “I wouldn’t want to be on this journey with anyone but you, Lydia. I don’t want anyone else.”

REVIEW BLITZ: GENTLEMAN NINE by Penelope Ward

Amazon | iBooks | Amazon Paperback | Nook | Kobo | AUDIO Amazon | Audible

From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.

Growing up, the three of us were friends.

He was the nerd.

I was the playboy.

She was the beauty.

Deep down, I only ever wanted her. I kept it inside because Rory and I made a pact that our friend, Amber, was off-limits.

He lied.

I went off to college, and he got the girl.

Amber never knew how I felt.

They were together for years-before he broke her heart.

Through it all and across the miles, she and I casually stayed in touch.

When my job sent me to Boston for a three-month contract position, Amber let me stay in her spare room.

Still reeling from her breakup, she’d sworn off men.

One night, I opened her computer to find the shock of my life. She’d hesitantly contacted a male escort company. Afraid to date and get her heart broken again, she was looking for sex with no strings.

Every emotion imaginable ran through me: protectiveness, jealousy-curiosity.

Amber had chosen Gentleman Number Nine and sent him a message.

She opened up to him, confessing, among other things, her physical attraction to her friend- me. But she considered me off-limits-and she thought I was a manwhore. (Ironic, considering the circumstances.)

Eventually, she set up a date to meet Gentleman Nine at a hotel.

When she showed up several nights later to meet him, she got the surprise of her life to see me standing there-with an offer I hoped she wouldn’t refuse.

Review

Penelope Ward definitely knows her way around unique story lines, which is why romance readers adore her books, characters, and plots. And, even though I’m not a fan of love triangles, I didn’t hesitate to sign up for an ARC of Gentleman Nine because Ward never follows the stereotypical path of any romance trope; she drives up the angst and takes her characters on an uphill journey – one that doesn’t usually resolve itself until hearts have been broken, difficult choices have been made, and loss seems to be one of the only feelings left between the characters.

Amber Walton and Channing Lord may be long-time friends, but they lost touch over the past several years, partly because Channing distanced himself from Amber when she became Rory’s girlfriend and partly because Channing’s feelings for Amber made it extremely difficult to stay close with the new couple. But now that Amber and Channing have reconnected and things have been set in motion that, in some respects, both of them has always wanted, readers have to trudge through Amber and Channing’s indecision, confusion, and jealousy, which definitely hinders either of them from going all in with their head, heart, and soul because it remains largely unclear if either of them will truly be free of their past relationships, especially when they keep popping up in their lives.

I do have to admit that I had a few issues with Amber and Channing’s story. Everything seemed to move at warp speed without any real explanation for the characters’ choices. It was difficult to truly understand why Rory made the choice that he did, and even when he explains his reasoning, in his own voice, it just seemed rather contrived for a man who has been in love/in a relationship with the same woman for nine years. While it’s clear that there’s a mutual attraction between Amber and Channing, I guess I just needed more insight into why Channing’s always had feelings for Amber and what Amber saw/sees in Channing now that she actually has the opportunity to explore the spark between them.

Overall, I did enjoy the uniqueness of how Penelope Ward brought Amber and Channing’s feelings out into the open, and the steps Channing was willing to take in order to prove to Amber just how much he has always wanted her. Some of the supporting characters and the hero and heroine’s interaction with them definitely shed light on how caring and supportive both Amber and Channing are when it comes to helping other people. I just found it difficult to connect to Amber and Channing as a couple because there was so much outside interference not really dealt with or approached in the best possible way, leaving me questioning just how much love is between them and why they made the choices that they did.

COVER REVEAL: The Pecker Briefs: Ford and Viveka’s Story (The Legal Affairs Series, Book #7) by Sawyer Bennett

The Pecker Briefs: Ford and Viveka’s Story (The Legal Affairs Series, Book #7)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: April 17, 2018

Synopsis

I never thought a pecker would get me in so much trouble.

I mean, sure… if you’re talking about a certain anatomical feature of mine that the ladies just love.

Given my bachelor status and appreciation for all things curvy and feminine, I could absolutely see that. But a different pecker is making my life much harder than it needs to be.

My name is Ford Daniels, partner at the law firm of Knight & Payne, and my latest case has me wading through the finer points of peckers-woodpeckers that is. Specifically, the red-cockaded woodpecker. I swear, I can’t make this stuff up but that’s what the sexy-as-hell blonde chained to a tree told me this morning.

Her name is Viveka Jones and she is so much more than a pretty face. She’s got wit, charm, and razor-sharp smarts. Turns out my client is looking to bulldoze the red-cockaded woodpecker’s natural habitat in favor of a multimillion-dollar subdivision and the sexy attorney with legs for days (and days), just happens to be counsel for an animal rights group looking to put a halt to construction.

My client’s pissed, but all I can think about is getting Viveka across the table from me. And then on the table underneath me. Perhaps up against the wall. And then-

Well, let’s just say when it’s all said and done, I’m hoping the red-cockaded woodpecker isn’t the only pecker that gets some attention from Miss Viveka Jones.

“Wait,” I say. I lean back and look over my shoulder, surveying the two customers still in the waiting area. I stand from my stool and pull Kerry to Padraig’s space behind the curtain. I’d be scared to go back here, except Stella has been back here and she wasn’t permanently scarred.

“What is this?” Kerry asks.

“Padraig’s room. I don’t know what’s back here. Don’t look at anything. Just kiss me, please.”

I grab her face with both hands and kiss her hard. She kisses me back, and our hands roam everywhere over each other. I breathe in the scent of her hair, and I rustle it by running both my hands up her neck and to the back of her head. I pull her to me as close as I can and press her against the wall to get even closer. I brace one hand against the wall to keep us upright, and I search for and grab her hand with the other. I twine our fingers together and raise them up, resting them on the wall above our heads. Her breathing quickens. I can feel her chest heave against mine. I press myself against her, and she groans.

“Hellooo, Luca,” she says, which causes me to laugh against her mouth.

“God, you’re so hot,” she says to me.

I have to stop before I have her naked in Padraig’s room. I kiss her twice more and press my forehead against hers.

“You have no idea what you do to me,” I say, nearly out of breath.

“I think I may have a clue,” she says, also breathless.

“Go do your thing. I’ll see you back here in a little while.”

She nods and looks up into my eyes. “Okay.”

We stand there, motionless, for a moment. Kerry closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. She places her hand on my cheek. “I think I kind of like you, Luca.”

I smile into her hand. “I kind of like you too. I know.”

“I’ll be back soon.”

“I can’t wait.”

I use my hand on the wall to push myself away from her. Her hand slides from my face as she continues to look me in the eyes.

“See you when I get back,” she says. She slides out from underneath me, her hand gliding the length of my outstretched arm as she slips through the curtained opening. When our hands meet, I grab hers in mine and let her pull me with her until I’m out from behind the curtain too. I let go and watch her walk toward the door. She turns and looks back at me twice before exiting the shop. I continue to watch her, and she gives me one more glance through the window before she disappears from sight. I’m grinning as wide as my face will allow.

BLOG TOUR: REVIEW AND EXCERPT: MORE THAN LOVE YOU by Shayla Black

2018-SBPRBANNER-MTLY-BT.jpg

More Than Love You, an all-new sexy romance from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Shayla Black is available NOW !

03 MoreThanLoveYou

I’m Noah Weston. For a decade, I’ve quarterbacked America’s most iconic football team and plowed my way through women. Now I’m transitioning from star player to retired jock-with a cloud of allegation hanging over my head. So I’m escaping to the private ocean-front paradise I bought for peace and quiet. What I get instead is stubborn, snarky, wild, lights-my-blood-on-fire Harlow Reed. Since she just left a relationship in a hugely viral way, she should be the last woman I’m seen with.

On second thought, we can help each other…

I need a steady, supportive “girlfriend” for the court of public opinion, not entanglements. Harlow is merely looking for nonstop sweaty sex and screaming orgasms that wring pleasure from her oh-so-luscious body. Three months-that’s how long it should take for us both to scratch this itch and leave our respective scandals behind. But the more I know this woman, the less I can picture my life without her. And when I’m forced to choose, I’ll realize I don’t merely want her in my bed or need her for a ruse. I more than love her enough to do whatever it takes to make her mine for good.

More Than Love You is a sexy and emotional standalone novel in the More Than Words Series.

Review

The title for Noah Weston and Harlow Reed’s story is quite an interesting one given the nature of how their summer fling starts, their respective relationship history, and the adamant contention on Harlow’s part that she is incapable of romantic attachments and commitments when it comes to the opposite sex.

But it’s not just their expiration date or the fact that Harlow never seems to want to share anything about herself or her past…what’s most striking to me about the title is its paradoxical idea. ‘More Than Love You’ seems quite contradictory…perhaps even possible, but the further readers get into Noah and Harlow’s book, the clearer it becomes that everything that Noah is feeling for Harlow and giving to her in order to build something beyond their insane sexual chemistry and off-the-charts fucking/love making is so much more than love…it’s beyond devotion…beyond adoration…beyond cherishing…it’s all of those feelings and SO MUCH MORE…

NOW, Noah just has to prove that to the beautiful, closed-off, challenging, giving, sassy woman who’s the woman of his dreams and hopefully his future EVERYTHING.

There are a lot of personal issues that Noah and Harlow must sift through in order for the feelings they have for each other to grow into something more. Noah needs to deal with the end of his Pro Football career and the health complications that have posed a road block for his second career opportunity. But more importantly, Noah must prove to those who love Harlow and to the woman herself, that he’s more than up for the job of making Harlow happy for the rest of her life.

Harlow is a bit of a wild card for a number of reasons; every time Noah pushes too much, she shuts down and uses humor or sex to evade any emotional discussions. She’s also tight lipped when it comes to what happened in her past that makes her believe she’s incapable of a forever kind of love. The biggest issue, though, seems to be her non-relationship with her parents and two over protective older brothers who need Noah to prove himself to them as well as finally unearth everything they’ve had to deal with due to their parents’ selfishness and neglect.

It was truly frustrating to not know everything that made Harlow so closed-off, especially because readers aren’t privy to her internal thoughts or her own perspective for almost the entirety of the book. We learn about her past from her brothers, from her brothers’ wives and from the little bit that Harlow reveals through her conversations with Noah, but for the most part, she remains elusive and uses sex as a distraction.

Because More Than Love You is told primarily through Noah’s point of view, readers do get to know him quite well and we witness his struggles with his speech issues, his concerns for his second career, his devotion to a woman who revs him up, frustrates him beyond belief, and warms his heart in ways he never thought possible. Shayla Black does a good job of allowing readers into Noah’s head and watch him work hard to figure out how to get through the wall that Harlow’s constructed around her heart so that she never suffers from an unconditional love she knows she’ll never have.

Overall, I really enjoyed Noah and Harlow’s story. They seem to be perfect for one another and because neither of them know what it feels like to be in love…to be invested in someone else to the point that they would willingly sacrifice it all for, they take each day they’re together as it comes and they work toward building something that scares the crap out of Harlow but also something that it’s clear she wants and needs to live a full life.

I’m intrigued by both Noah’s brother and Harlow’s brother, and I’m hoping one of their stories is up next!

4 Poison Apples

Excerpt

“Noah?”

At the sounds of splashing, I turn to find Harlow emerging from the pool, walking up one step at a time, dripping, swaying with every step, and completely blowing my mind. Her long hair clings to her pretty breasts, flirting with her plump nipples. Her waist dips in, then flares out to a pair of hips I want my hands on. She’s sleek and sexy and stunning.

I can’t find words for an entirely different reason than before. She leaves me speechless.

“Can you hand me a towel from over there?” She points to the patio table.

On autopilot, I back toward the surface, never taking my eyes off her. When I bump into the glass, I grope behind me until terry cloth fills my hand. Then I race toward Harlow. “Need anything else?”

She takes the towel from me, and we’re standing so close I can smell her scent mixed with a tinge of chlorine. “A shower. Then an orgasm or two, preferably that you give me.”

Did I hear her right? “You sure?”

Harlow nods, her gaze tangling with mine. “I want to fuck.”

It takes a split second for her declaration to sink in. I was convinced she wouldn’t want me after she figured out I’m just a man with flaws. Then again, she was never looking to get laid from someone ESPN hailed as a football god. She just wants pleasure.

The way she holds my gaze singes me with heat. It sizzles across my skin, burning the flesh under my surface. I can’t quite breathe.

I have a feeling she’s going to be trouble-and I don’t care.

“Let’s do it.” Taking the towel from her grip, I jerk it until it unfolds, then wrap it around her back, covering the dripping ends of her hair. Then I tug her against me. Her skin feels cool pressed to my overheated chest. I don’t dare kiss her now. The way I want her, I’ll lay her out on the first available surface, and I’d rather save my knees the agony of looking for the leverage to fuck her properly on a chaise lounge.

Digging for restraint, I drag in a rough breath. If I’m already having trouble resisting her, how bad will the craving be once I’ve had a taste?

I shove the thought aside. “I won’t go easy on you.”

“I never thought you would.”

“I won’t be gentle.”

“Good. I may be small, but I’m not fragile.”

“I won’t be quick. Expect me to be at you all night.”

A sly smile curls up the sides of her lips that turns me on even more. “I’ll hold you to that.”

I run out of ways to warn her that I intend to turn her inside out and wring her dry before I let her leave my bed. But fuck it, I’ll let my body do the talking.

Bending, I lift her to my chest. She’s a tiny thing. Given her boobs and hips, I thought she would be heavier to carry, but I’ve curled barbells that weigh more. “Then let’s go.”

Her smile becomes a grin as she wraps her arms around my neck. “Consider me happily along for the ride.”

REVIEW AND EXCERPT TOUR: ROUGH RIDE by Kristen Ashley

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Ashley comes a new story in her Chaos series…

About ROUGH RIDE

Rosalie Holloway put it all on the line for the Chaos Motorcycle Club.

Informing to Chaos on their rival club-her man’s club, Bounty-Rosalie knows the stakes. And she pays them when her man, who she was hoping to scare straight, finds out she’s betrayed him and he delivers her to his brothers to mete out their form of justice.

But really, Rosie has long been denying that, as she drifted away from her Bounty, she’s been falling in love with Everett “Snapper” Kavanagh, a Chaos brother. Snap is the biker-boy-next door with the snowy blue eyes, quiet confidence and sweet disposition who was supposed to keep her safe…and fell down on that job.

For Snapper, it’s always been Rosalie, from the first time he saw her at the Chaos Compound. He’s just been waiting for a clear shot. But he didn’t want to get it after his Rosie was left bleeding, beat down and broken by Bounty on a cement warehouse floor.

With Rosalie a casualty of an ongoing war, Snapper has to guide her to trust him, take a shot with him, build a them…

And fold his woman firmly in the family that is Chaos.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Review

‘For years you’ve had a rough ride, what happened recently, just the most recent – with me, that rough ride is gonna end, baby.’

This is only one of the many glorious declarations made by Snapper that illustrates exactly the kind of man Rosalie Holloway is failing for despite the hellish situation she’s gotten herself in and the repercussions of her betrayal to Bounty and the man she thought she’d spend her life with before she found proof that he’s not the one who’s ‘perfect’ for her.

In my opinion, Everett ‘Snapper’ Kavanaugh is not a typical Chaos Motorcycle Club brother, but it’s not because he’s not badass or doesn’t exude alpha maleness; it’s more because he has a sweet disposition. And, it’s not to say that Snapper is ‘soft.’ It’s just that he knows that Rosalie needs to be handled with care; he understands the hell she has endured and he refuses to do anything to force her to continue on the ‘rough ride’ she’s been on since her father’s death.

I have to admit that I didn’t know if I was going to be able to accept Rosalie as the heroine of a Chaos story, especially given the circumstances she meets Snapper under and the unease that surrounds her situation due to the fact she started with Shy then moved on to a Bounty Motorcycle Club Biker who proceeded to beat her and allow all of his brothers a go with her broken body then find her ‘perfect’ man while she’s attempting to help her current man get out from under the illegal dealings his club and he are entrenched in…but I do have to say that KA allows readers to understand the meaning and motive behind Rosalie’s actions and what it seems she’s been searching for ever since she lost the one man who protected and loved her unlike anyone she suspects every will again.

Motorcycle Man is one of my favorite books of ALL time; it’s what introduced me to a group of biker brothers who have been through hell and back and still find a way to protect what’s theirs and attempt to ride free and easy despite the maelstroms that look to wreak havoc on their lives and on their club.

Like all Chaos books, the brotherhood is showcased in Rough Ride – the fact that they take care of their own…they’re responsible for one another…they atone when they’re in the wrong and when a brother claims a woman, they are ‘owned’ by the club, which means that there’s a support system in place that will never waiver.

Rough Ride feels a little bit like a segue into the next Chaos book, Hound’s story…because as Snapper and Rosalie get things figured out between them, proving that Rosalie’s ‘rough ride,’ for the most part, is over, the club’s chaos is getting more dangerous and inevitable, forcing action to be taken that might just cost the club and those they love the roughest ride of them all.

4.5 Poison Apples

Excerpt

“We got it now. You’re good. Gonna take care of you.”

No they weren’t.

He wasn’t.

No one was going to take care of me.

But me.

Not anymore.

They were supposed to do that before.

And now I was on a cement floor, beat to hell.

But I was going to be.

Good that was.

Yes, I was going to be.

Finally.

And it was going to be me that made me that too.

I turned my face into Snap’s cut as an indication he shouldn’t stroke my hair anymore, as a way to tell him to get the heck away from me, to leave me to the ambulance, to leave me alone, to get out of my hair, out of there, out of my life.

But the fabric snagged my swollen nose and a whimper slid from me.

“Baby,” he whispered, feeling close, seemingly all around me, “just hang tight. Don’t move. Help will be here soon.”

Help would be there soon.

I’d be in an ambulance.

Then I’d be in a hospital.

While there, I’d talk to the police.

Eventually, I’d go home and live in fear of what my boyfriend’s motorcycle club would do to me after I pressed charges against them for beating the crap out of me.

What could be worse than this?

I didn’t know.

About Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.

Nothing’s changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.
