Blurb

Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry Charles Albert Edgar Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to force her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora goes on a much-needed safari holiday—and when the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world’s most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit…and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

Review

I absolutely adored Henry and Sarah’s story, and its complexity is what allowed me to fully integrate into their lives and invest the time to truly understand who they are and what they want from life and love. What’s most striking about Royally Matched is that Henry and Sarah have such contrasting personalities and lifestyles that it doesn’t seem possible for them to have a chance at a real relationship, especially due to the outside circumstances that require them to keep what they have and who they are to each other a secret from everyone.

Henry is quite the contradictory hero; as the heir apparent, Prince of Wessco, his responsibilities to his family and his country seem to challenge who Henry is – the fun, crass, and inappropriate man who doesn’t want the responsibilities that have befallen to him. Since his brother, Nicholas, abdicated the throne for love, Henry has had to step into a position that he feels he’s not suited for and one that scares the ever-loving hell out of him, forcing him to play the part of the playboy prince, never taking anything seriously, which, in turn, allows others to see him as incapable and unworthy with a title he never really wanted.

Contrary to what the media and perhaps even the Queen believe, Prince Henry does not need to be tamed; it’s clear in his interactions with Sarah and his genuineness with people, that Henry is a clever, intelligent, and charming man who has the potential to achieve anything he puts his mind to, and with someone at his side who truly believes in him, he understands the importance of his position and recognizes what he needs to do in order to be the man, the prince, and the future king his family and his country need him to be.

Lady Sarah Van Titebottum, according to Henry, is a total nutter, but in all the best ways. She may be reserved and awkward, but she’s also intelligent and witty, and despite her love of literature and her desire to find a love like the characters in her stories, she knows that lie isn’t a novel, and while Henry may be rough around the edges, the way he allows her to set her free and experience a wildness that she’s never felt before gives her more of a life than she’s ever had and helps her to work through her stress and anxiety and no longer be chained by the trauma of her past.

Royally Matched is a marvelous blend of reality and fiction, and while Henry has spent many years playing a part and then for 6 weeks signs on to play another role, every encounter and conversation with Sarah is real…real in a way that Henry has never had before and desperately craves to hold onto despite the expectations that surround his life.

Sarah is an amazing heroine who gives Henry everything that he needs to face his reality, and he gives her the gentle care and worshipping that she deserves and helps her to feel free for the first time.

Henry and Sarah are perfectly matched despite their differences, and I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing them grow as individuals and then as a couple willing to do anything for one another.

RELEASE BLITZ: REVIEW AND EXCERPT: BEARD MODE by Lani Lynn Vale

 beard-mode-release-banner
beardmodeaaronandimogen

Aaron don’t ever call me Fatbaby’ Sims is lucky to be alive. Or at least that is what everyone keeps telling him. He doesn’t feel lucky, though.

He’s scarred, has more than a little bit of a bad attitude, and there isn’t a single day that goes by that he doesn’t wish his wife would’ve just finished off the job.

After being denied his old position at the fire department, he leaves, and doesn’t look back. He heads straight to Alabama and into the semi-welcoming arms of The Dixie Wardens MC. There he becomes a part of a brotherhood that forces him to get back in the land of the living.

Imogen is a smart girl. A girl who doesn’t always make the best decisions.

Her heart is in the right place when she walks into that prison, but it doesn’t take long for her to realize that her heart shouldn’t have had any say so in the matter. Especially when one wrong move lands her in the arms of a scarred man that looks frightening enough to scare any sane woman away.

Immediately enthralled by the angry man, she tries to get closer to him. But the harder she tries to get to know him, the further he pushes her away.

The only thing Aaron wanted to do after his now ex-wife was sent to jail was escape. Escape the awful memories. The pity-filled eyes. The curious glances.

He does a damn fine job at ensuring he draws as little as attention as possible, but then that annoying woman with her startling blue eyes starts hammering away at his resolve. Makes him feel when he doesn’t want to feel.

Imogen comes into his life and carves out a place for herself, obliterating his defenses one heated kiss at a time.

It doesn’t take long, and he realizes he’s in deep. Too deep to ever want to come out.

Imogen will know what it’s like to be loved by a reject.

review
Ever since reading about Aaron Sims’ now ex-wife going postal on him and almost killing him, I wanted to hear how he was recovering…see if he was able to move past the day that mentally and physically scarred him and find a woman who could make him feel whole again and help ease the darkness within him and prove that not all women are like his ex, and in Beard Mode, he definitely gets that with Imogen Wild.

Who would have thought that a Pixie Grade A Clinger would be the one to help Aaron feel wanted again…to help make him smile when he hasn’t done so for over a year. But as Imogen and Aaron’s past connection is explained and their bookish tendencies are highlighted, it makes sense that they have more in common than they thought and that Imogen is about as opposite from his ex than a woman could be, which is exactly why Aaron risks getting close to Imogen without worrying about the possibility of her going crazy and making his life hell on earth like it was for almost a decade.

The whole idea of Aaron’s club considering themselves rejects and even calling themselves The Dixie Warden Rejects speaks to how this crew of battered men see themselves and how those around them view them as well. But Imogen sees beneath Aaron’s scars and she accepts his brothers for who they are, which is exactly why the electricity between them is not something Aaron wants to keep fighting and when they find themselves wrapped up in a fight that has nothing to do with them, both Aaron and Imogen show their strength and commitment to do what’s right in all situations.

Beard Mode is a great story to kick-off Lani Lynn Vale’s new biker series, The Dixie Warden Rejects MC. Readers are introduced to the Rejects’ band of misfits, and while they definitely are rough around the edge, it’s clear how much their brothers mean to them and how quickly they have each other’s backs when it’s needed. Interestingly enough, Imogen is a perfect fit with Aaron and his club members and she’s just as much of a fighter as Aaron is, which makes them a perfect pair, which is clearly shown once Aaron allows Imogen fully in.

Can’t wait to read Tommy’s story!

“New guy.”  Someone muttered behind me.

I turned only my head to find Stone, the president, staring at me with hard eyes.

“Yeah?” I asked him, dropping my bag on the floor and heading in his direction instead of out the door like I’d originally intended.

“You’re here because you have a special set of skills that we need.”  The leader of the band of misfits, Stone, drawled.

I nearly laughed.

“That sounds like a bad line out of a movie.” I muttered, wondering where he was going with this.

He tossed me a glare and then yelled.

“Truth!”  Stone yelled.  “Ghost! Get the fuck in here!”

Ghost and Truth walked in the door at the same time, both of them turning to the side to walk inside, and stared at Stone

“Ghost, hold Truth down so New Guy can give him the fuckin’ shot.” Stone grumbled.

Ghost tackled Truth and wrestled him to the desk, then sat on him while Stone leaned back and watched.

“No, motherfucker!” Truth yelled.  “I don’t want it!”

“It’s the fuckin’ flu shot, you dumb shit.  Not a fuckin’ tracking device. Take a fuckin’ chill pill.”  Stone grumbled, staring at the scuffle that was going down in front of him.

I picked up the syringe from the table, similar to the one I’d given everybody else’s flu shot with, and stabbed it in the meat of Truth’s arm.

Truth bellowed in rage, and I flipped the guard up on the syringe before tossing it into the trash can.

“Done?” I asked Stone.  “I have to get to work.”

Stone nodded.

“Yeah, thanks.” He nodded. “Have fun at the nut house.”

I grunted something unintelligible, causing him to laugh.

“Don’t sound so excited.” He laughed.

I flipped him off and walked out the door just as Ghost was letting Truth up

“Why you gotta be such a big motherfucker?”  Truth growled.  “If you’d been anyone else, I’d have gotten away.”

“Why do you think I called Ghost instead of anyone else?”  I heard Stone reply.

BLURB

Mallory Sims is late for her first day of work.

After spilling her tea, she discovers she has no gas in her car. Add that her arm keeps sticking to her dress from syrup left on the console of her car, flustered feels like an understatement.

Then she sees her new boss.

Graham Landry is the epitome of NSFW in his custom-fit suit, black-rimmed glasses, and a look so stern her libido doesn’t stand a chance. Being flustered is just the start of her problems.

Her punctuality is only the start of his. With a pink slip in hand, he’s been waiting on his new secretary to show up only to let her go. Then she rushes in with her doe eyes and rambling excuses, smelling like bacon and lavender. The termination paper falls to the side as she falls in his arms.

This is a disaster in the making. Not because of his pinpoint exactness or her free spirit, but because when they’re together, the sparks that fly threaten to burn the whole place down.

We both know we aren’t just talking about a moved stapler or a mishmash of files. As that really sets in, the air around us gets heavier. Hotter. Hazardous.

“Those things always lead to dangerous situations,” he says, his eyes trained on me.

I shift in my seat, the throb between my legs growing stronger by the second. “People do it every day and survive.”

“They may survive, but don’t things get messy?”

“Only if they do it right.”

His chair flies backwards and he’s to his feet and next to me before I know what’s happening. He doesn’t ask that I stand, but he doesn’t have to. It’s implied and my body reacts accordingly to his silent command.

We stand face-to-face, our breathing ragged. Our chests heave with the anticipation, the possibility, of what might come next.

“You are, quite possibly, the most dangerous of them all,” he says, his voice rough.

“Why is that?” I breathe.

“There’s no plan for you.”

“But you’ve already penciled me in, haven’t you, Graham?” I ask, finding the courage to play this little game with him. Being strictly professional is incredibly hard, and this is way too easy.

I can flirt with the best of them in a bar or on a college campus. But here, with him, it’s a game all its own. A level I had no idea I’d ever be a contender in. Maybe I’m not, but I’m going to play the hell out of it while I’m here … even though if I keep it up, I might not be here for long.

“What do you want, Mallory?”

“I want to do all the things you ask of me and do them better than you ever expected they could be done.”

A rumble emits from his throat as his eyes darken. My knees go weak and I grab the table with my left hand to ensure I don’t fall.

He licks his lips and flips his gaze to my mouth. I think I whimper as I lift my chin, waiting to see what he does next. My entire body is on fire for this man, my heart thumping so hard I’m sure he can hear it.

He moves so my back is pressed against the table, our food long forgotten. His hands are on either side of me, caging me in. Our eyes locked together, he leans in, a slow smirk spreading across his gorgeous face.

“Excuse me, Mr. Landry. Ford is here to see you,” Raza chirps through the line.

We exhale simultaneously, a giggle escaping with mine. There’s nothing funny about this, but the energy has to come out in some way.

“Mr. Landry?” she asks again.

“I’ll be right out. Thank you, Raza.”

“Oh, you’re so welcome, sir.” The line clicks off and Graham marches across the room and punches a button. The light on top indicates he’s not to be disturbed.

I busy myself with cleaning up our lunch, and before he’s at my side again, I have everything bundled up.

“Thanks for lunch,” I say like nothing just happened.

“Mallory …” He runs his hand through his hair, leaving one lock sticking up. Knowing what that will look like if we walk out together, I reach up, hesitating for a split second, before smoothing it out.

His hair is silky against my fingers. He jumps when I touch him at first, but doesn’t back away. “What are you doing?”

“Nothing went on in here. I refuse for it to look like something did. That’s the way rumors get spread, Mr. Landry.”

“Mallory, I …”

I get a final look at his face, reach up and straighten his tie as his eyes go wide, then turn towards the door. “I’ll send Ford in.”

“Mallory!”

“Yeah?” I turn to see him over my shoulder. He’s standing by the table, his hands in his pockets looking frazzled. When he doesn’t respond, I place my hand on the knob. “I’ll have that file back to you before I leave today. Thanks again for lunch.”

I walk out before I can change my mind.

She turned back to him. “You seem to have a good deal of stamina.”

“Amelie…Mistress, I don’t think you’re getting’ that I seriously find you not hard on the eyes.”

She bent closer, as intended for this part of their session, some of her fair falling on his chest in another caress. She did this letting her amusement show, if not all of the emotion she felt at his compliment.

“I wonder, monchou, if you think you can butter me up with compliments.”

“I don’t know. Maybe. Though not sure why I’d bother since I didn’t give you one and you just made me shoot a huge-ass load the like that have never come from my cock.”

“And he gives another compliment,” she said through a smile.

“You earn it, I’ll say it, he replied, his lips twitching. “That is, if I’m physically capable of speech.”

She was still smiling when she reached out a hand and delicately traced circles around his nipple.

His eyes darkened.

Her good humor increased.

“You’re of course aware I should do something about you being so audaciously cheeky.”

Another darkness crossed his face. “What?”

“I shouldn’t allow you to be cheeky with me.”

“Cheeky?”

“Impudent,” she explained.

The look fled. “You mean, in uppity, hot-chick speak, a wise-ass.”

Amelie couldn’t help it, she laughed softly.

“She’s got a pretty laugh, too, to go with that pretty accent,” he murmured and she saw his eyes on her lips.

I could get lost in this one, she thought. Lost and never found.

Kristin Ashley - headshotAbout Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.

Nothing’s changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.

Her smile was magnetic, and I just wanted to kiss her. I mean…I’d wanted to kiss her all night. But sitting there, in front of the last lit house, with Christmas music playing in the background and her smile radiating joy, there was nowhere else I’d rather be. That thought hit me so suddenly and I didn’t even know why.

I put my truck into park, leaned over to her side of the car, and pushed my hand up into her dark hair. She froze, silhouetted by the light display behind her. Her eyes locked with mine, green meeting brown, and her eyes widened with surprise. She breathed out softly, and I could feel her pulse ratchet up at my touch.

This was the girl who had pulled me across the room at Sutton’s wedding, like a magnet finding its pair. This was the tension that I’d felt when we first spoke. Here was the world of desire and lust that had clouded both of our minds ever since our first kiss.

My face was only inches from hers. I wanted to take what was mine. I wanted to claim her mouth and then her body right here in the cab of my truck, like we were young, wild, and carefree.

But, instead, I couldn’t seem to stop staring at her.

She laughed lightly to try to defuse the tension. But it wasn’t possible, and it was a feeble effort.

“Are you going to kiss me?” she whispered boldly.

I didn’t need any further prodding. I crushed my lips against hers. It was like striking a match. Our lips moved against each other, desperate with the need to get closer, to have more. She opened her mouth for me, and I brushed my tongue against hers. The groan that emanated from deep in the back of her throat made my dick twitch. Our tongues volleyed for position. She was just as aching for attention as I was.

I heard the click of her belt buckle, and soon, she was pushing her body closer, moving over the divide of my truck. My hands fell to her ass, and I effortlessly hoisted her up and into my seat. She squeaked in shock but didn’t break contact. Instead, she straddled me and let her hands wander across my chest.

My hands never left her ass because, damn, did that woman have an ass. She was grinding up against me, and I moved into a full-blown hard-on at her ministrations. She must have realized what she was doing to me because, when she swiveled her hips in place, she moaned against the feel of my dick.

In that moment, I didn’t give a shit that we were acting like teenagers, parked outside of a stranger’s house, bucking against each other for just an ounce of satisfaction. I was ready to strip her bare and fuck her until she forgot every word to every Christmas song and only remembered my name.

That was, until she rocked back just a little too hard, and a loud honk erupted from the hood of the truck.

Review

Nova is a beautifully broken, slow burn second chance love story that takes readers through the gamut of emotions and leave them wondering how Landon and Rachel can have any kind of a future together when their past is drenched in deceit, secrets, and mess ups, leaving both of them with a heart incapable of beating for anyone else but too scared to allow it to beat for one another again after everything they’ve been through due to Nova’s decisions.

It’s easy to place the blame solely on Landon’s shoulders for what happened 2 ½ years ago, and he’ll be the first to admit that he royally fucked up when it came to how his relationship with Rachel began and what it would cost him to continue it. But there is always more than one side of every story, and in this case, there are more than two people involved in destroying the love between two people who seemed destined to be together, and unless Rachel is willing to look beyond her heartbreak and lower some of her walls to allow Landon to explain what happened the last time they saw each other, neither of them will be able to move forward with a whole heart or the ability to let someone in and not fear being torn apart again.

The layers of deceit are complex, which makes sorting everything out a challenge; Nova and Rachel’s relationship began behind Wilder’s back, illustrating both of their roles in the ultimatum that Wilder gave to Nova. With a foundation based on secrets and lies, it’s easy to understand why things fell apart the way they did and why Nova chose with his head instead of his heart. Don’t get me wrong, Rachel has every right to feel gutted by Nova’s decision and to not trust anything he says once they reunite, but she also needs to look at the bigger picture, which her broken heart and empty soul won’t allow her to do.

It makes sense that Landon would become “Nova” when he left Rachel because when he chose the Renegades over her, he left who he was, because of his feelings for her and the love she showed him, with her. The fact that he became a manwhore, using women to self-medicate, speaks to just how messed up Landon got when he chose money/fame over love. But now that Rachel’s back in his life, thanks to a manipulative Wilder, he refuses to allow her to act like he doesn’t exist.

Regardless of their palpable connection and how well they complement each other, a reunion between Landon and Rachel isn’t a given. There is so much anger and heartache that surrounds Rachel’s true feelings for Landon that it’s going to take time and diligence to make any headway at breaking down Rachel’s walls and getting her to love and trust him again, which makes what Landon and Rachel are going through that much more realistic, and I appreciate the fact that Rebecca Yarros doesn’t rush anything between the couple; she makes it a process – one where there are highs and lows as well as steps forward and backwards. Rachel puts Landon through his paces; he needs to prove how important she is to him with more than words, and while Landon does take some missteps along the way, he does the work that needs to be done, but readers are still left wondering if it’s enough due to the baggage of the past and the fact that there are still more secrets between them.

Nova and Rachel’s story is an emotional read and the introspective way that Rebecca Yarros’ writes her hero and heroine allow readers to truly understand where they are coming from as they try to figure out how to move forward and stop living in the past. Readers will find both characters stubborn and frustrating, but at the same time, their reactions and actions will make sense due to Landon’s choices 2 ½ years ago.

A love that deep and a betrayal of that magnitude are constantly battling one another, and while Landon does everything he can to prove his love to Rachel, her lack of trust in him is what he needs to focus on and even though it takes Landon awhile to figure out exactly the steps he needs to take to reclaim the woman who owns his heart, he’s clearly a changed man due to the love of his life’s presence and he refuses to treat her second best ever again, putting their fate in Rachel’s hands and holding his breath for her to finally be his again.

I met Bianca in an elevator.

She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck.

The beautiful, raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed.

She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she’d dubbed “Mister Moneybags”—her afternoon appointment.

Bianca told me how much she hated Dex’s type—snobby, over educated, silver- spooned men who didn’t appreciate the simple things in life.

So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn’t—a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn’t want it to end.

I began dating her as “Jay”—all the while letting her interview the real me over email.

I didn’t expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot.

I didn’t expect the mess I’d gotten myself into.

I didn’t expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.

And she was falling for two men.

Only, both men were me.

And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.

Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for what came after.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

About MASTERING HER SENSES

12 Masters. Infinite fantasies. Welcome to Blasphemy…

He wants to dominate her senses—and her heart…

Quinton Ross has always been a thrill-seeker—so it’s no surprise that he’s drawn to extremes in the bedroom and at his BDSM club, Blasphemy, where he creates sense-depriving scenarios that blow submissives’ minds. Now if he could just find one who needs the rush as much as him…

When an accident leaves Cassia Locke with a paralyzing fear of the dark, she’ll try anything to get help. Ready to fight, she knows just who to ask for help—the hard-bodied, funny-as-hell Dom she’d always crushed on—and once stood up.

Quinton is shocked and a little leery to see Cassia, but he can’t pass up the chance to dominate the alluring little sub this time. Introducing her to sensory deprivation becomes his new favorite obsession, and watching her fight fear is its own thrill.  Review

Master Q, Quinton Ross, is definitely a man who thrives on control and dominance, which are necessary attributes in order to delve into the type of kink he loves – sensory deprivation, especially when he’s playing with a woman whose fear of the dark has made her feel stuck for the past two years since being trapped in a cave collapse for four days.

Cassia Locke is a true submissive, and she longs to get her old self back, the woman who desires to serve and surrender, which makes her eager to play with Master Q and work with him in order to set her free from the dark.

As Master Q and Cassia begin their no strings attached play, a connection is formed between them – one based on complete trust and fueled by pleasure and submission. Master Q becomes Cassia’s light in the dark, and as he manipulates her body with desire and retrains her senses to ease her terror, they find themselves wanting to add strings to their relationship and have them be each other’s light in the dark.

I love Laura Kaye’s Blasphemy series; each couple has their own kink and issues that are explored throughout their stories, which allows readers insight into the world of domination/submission and its variety of play.

Master Q and Cassia’s story is a sweet and sensual read; as Master Q helps ease Cassia’s fear of the dark, and they explore how pleasure overpowers terror, readers see a dominant and a submissive who are meant to be tied together…who provide one another exactly what they need and desire, and as long as Cassia can see past her anxiety and push her boundaries by placing her trust in Master Q’s capable hands, he will set her free from her fear and master so much more than her senses.

Taking Cassia’s hand, Quinton guided her to the locker room, then through it to one of the private Jacuzzis. It sat flush with the floor and had tiled steps down into the shallow tub. He adjusted a few knobs, and the bubbling water came to life. He turned to her. “After what happened earlier, I’ll completely understand if you prefer to do something else. I just want to make you feel good. So, no blindfolds and no darkness, just pleasure. Do you feel up to that?”

“I think that sounds incredible,” she said. “I love hot tubs.”

Brave woman, once again. “Well, all right, then. Go ahead and get in. I need to make one further arrangement.” When she slipped into the water, he stepped out of the room and called the club’s food service to order a tray of refreshments for them to share. “How’s the water?” he asked when he returned.

“Ah-mazing,” she said, submerged almost to her chin with her head resting against the curved tile.

“Good.” He unbuttoned his jeans and shoved them down over his hips.

Cassia’s mouth dropped open.

Quinton grinned, and tugged the denim all the way off until he stood before her naked as the day he came into this crazy world. “Damn, girl, you know how to make a man feel ten feet tall.”

Her lips snapped shut. “I, uh…”

“Don’t pick up your jaw on my account. I mean…” He waded into the water.

She rolled her eyes. “My jaw did not drop.”

“Oh, Cassia. Did you just roll your eyes at me, little one?” He moved until he stood right in front of her. The water bubbled just below his hips, leaving his half-erect cock exposed and nearly at her eye level.

A fast shake of her head as her eyes went wide.

“No? You didn’t just roll your eyes at me?” He donned a well-practiced stern expression and affected an ice-cold stare, even though Quinton was totally enjoying himself. “Because I know I was quite clear on what the consequences would be if you did.”

“I’m sorry, Sir,” she said, holding up her hands. “I won’t do it again.”

“Sit on the edge of the tub, Cassia.”

“Sir—”

Now.”

Slowly, she complied. And he enjoyed every goddamned second of the water sluicing off her body. Over her breasts, her nipples, the curve of her belly. Lower…

“Feet up on the edge next to you. Legs open.” He arched a brow.

Releasing a shaky breath, she got into position, and fuck if she wasn’t a vision. Pussy open to his view. Rivulets of water running over her skin. A flush in her face and anticipation in her eyes.

“Wider,” he said.

She let her knees fall to the sides.

“Just like that.” Without another word, he sank in the water to his knees right between her thighs and cupped her ass in his hands. “Now, don’t move a muscle.”

RELEASE BLITZ: REVIEW, EXCERPT, AND GIVEAWAY: Switch by Adriana Locke

Title: Switch

Series: Landry Family #3

Author: Adriana Locke

Genre: Romantic Comedy

Release Date: February 20, 2017

 Review

Boy these Landry brothers are something else, and because they complement each other so well and all understand the importance of family, it’s not easy to choose one favorite…perhaps if someone did a little “weird science,” readers could get a man who has a combination of all of the Landry sons’ finer attributes, but then what would be left for the rest of us;)

Graham Landry, at face value, seems to be quite the complex man; this is partially due to the many hats he wears as CEO of Landry Holdings as well as his varying skills when it comes to his brothers’ personal/professional lives and the advice and care he takes with all three of them. And while his employees will attest to his asshole dictator tendencies and his anal retentive, control freak persona, his new administrative assistant, Mallory Sims, does something that no one else can, which is take him off his A-game and leave him in a constant state of distraction. Graham’s attraction to her and his body’s need for her won’t allow him to focus on his work or anything else but her, which complicates not only his professional life but also his personal life because he decided a long time ago that he was never going to allow his heart to dictate his actions, and it seems that lately it’s missed that memo.

Mallory Sims is an amazing heroine who has finally taken back control of her life and now that she lives how she wants and makes all of her decisions on her own, she has no desire to return to the woman she used to be. She’s a strong woman, but she’s not strong enough to resist her boss and her unprofessional thoughts about him and what he can do to her. And regardless of the complications and messiness of anything romantic between them, Mallory’s brain, beauty, and caring nature all call to Graham and speak to him in a way that he hasn’t felt since getting his heartbroken back in college.

Mallory and Graham are opposites in a lot of ways, but Mallory sees Graham for who he is beneath his CEO exterior, and she goes as far as to allow him to be himself and do what he wants to do, not what he has to do for his family, for the company, or for the greater good. Regardless of the fact that Mallory is a hot mess most of the time when it comes to order and messiness and those two things are supremely important to Graham, they are learning to find a balance and compromise, which means that Graham may just take a risk with his heart and figure out a way to have a relationship and still remain the hard working businessman that he is.

Barrett and Lincoln learned to take a chance at love because they couldn’t imagine their lives without the women who own them, body and soul, and even though Graham has a bit more baggage when it comes to love, he’s more than capable of pursuing something beyond the physical with Mallory; he just needs to realize that pride and stubbornness may never allow him to be as happy as he can with the woman who makes him want to be a better man.

I absolutely adored Switch; it’s an emotional, steamy, and complex read that showcases the man that Graham is, and while he may be too much of a straight shooter and rule with a bit of an iron fist, he’s an exceptional man, and he’s found someone who sees all sides of him and takes him for who he is.

I cannot wait for Ford’s story!

Excerpt

Graham’s tongue darts out, skimming his bottom lip. He’s pinning me against the loveseat with a hand on either side of my face.

“You drive me crazy,” he says, narrowing his eyes. “I try so hard to be on my best behavior around you and you just whittle me down. Every fucking time.”

“Well,” I tease, wrapping my legs around his waist. “I think your ‘best behavior’ is subjective.”

“You know what I mean.”

“And you know what I mean.”

My heels locked at his back, I squeeze my thighs around his waist and pull him closer to me. His lips hover over mine but they don’t touch.

“What exactly do you mean, Mallory?”

I wind my fingers in his hair and tug gently. “I mean this is the Graham I like best. I like seeing you like this.”

“Struggling to keep myself together?”

“Exactly.” Lifting my head, I flick my tongue against his lips. I can feel the heat of his mouth, the taste of his desire. “Don’t try so hard,” I whisper.

“It’s futile anyway,” he says. I barely hear the words as he pulls back. “Stand up.” He climbs off the loveseat, stripping off his shirt. “Now.”

My stomach clenching at the intensity in his eyes, I’m on my feet before I realize I’ve moved.

“Take your dress off. Everything. I want you completely naked.”

The air brushes against my skin as the linen covering my body pools at my feet. As I step out, I watch Graham and almost gasp.

He’s standing in front of me, his cock in his hand, watching my every move. “Bra. Off.”

With a shaky hand, I unclasp the back and throw it at him. He catches it and presses it to his face.

“Now what?” I stand before him, not a thing on my skin. My hair drapes around my shoulders, and despite the fact I’m standing completely naked outside under the watchful eye of this sexy CEO, I don’t feel a bit nervous. Just … admired. That feels better than any orgasm, any accomplishment, any nice words ever spoken to me.

Graham sits again, his legs spread. He’s in complete control, managing the situation not with words or power, but with his eyes. That’s all it takes.
