Excerpt

“Do I get a good-luck kiss?” he asked after checking for cameras, his hands framing my waist.

“Paxton.” I tried to make it sound like a warning, but it came out too breathy, too wanting. For crying out loud, I couldn’t even control my own voice against this guy.

He squeezed lightly and then groaned. “Did I ever tell you that I love this dress?”

I shook my head. The spaghetti-strap maxi dress had been a last-minute choice, but Penna said she was going to burn all my pants if she saw me in them for the twenty-first day in a row.

He leaned down, his mouth against the shell of my ear. “I can feel every curve under my hands, which makes me pretty damn desperate to slide this up your legs and really get my hands on you. But I won’t. You know why?”

I shook my head.

“Because you haven’t said yes—yet—and I’m a goddamned gentleman.”

My fingers traced the lines of the Chinese symbol tattoos that ran up his neck, simply unable not to touch him. “Do I have to say yes to everything to get to kiss you?” I asked.

His breath stuttered. “Do you want to say yes?”

Our eyes met, and it would have been so easy to say it, to throw my hesitation overboard and jump. But that wasn’t me, and it didn’t matter that I was in a breezy dress under the Italian sun with the hottest extreme athlete on the planet, I was still…me. “I’m thinking about it.”

His forehead puckered for a millisecond before he relaxed and smoothed the line of my waist. “Then I think we can take yeses on a case-by-case basis.”

My heart pounded in anticipation. “Leah, would you like me to kiss you?”

“Yes,” I answered instantly.

Our hips met first as he drew me in. My hands slipped down the edges of his T-shirt to grasp the inked lines of his biceps. Arms like his should be modeled, sculpted, revered… or maybe just outlawed.

“Do you want to kiss me?” I asked.

“Hell yes,” he answered, then brushed his mouth against mine once before settling over me.

I opened for him, and he dove in, his tongue filling my mouth while my ass filled his hands. Gentleman, indeed.

#2

“Is that what you want, Leah?” he asked, his breath hot against my ear, his breathing bordering on ragged.

I whimpered again, answering him with another push of my hips.

He drew back, denying me the pressure I was desperate for. “It’s what I want. Except I want you naked, so I can feel all of your skin against me, taste the tiny beads of sweat I’ll work you into.”

I tried to roll up again, but he brought his hands to my hips, pinning me to the bed. “Paxton,” I whined, trying to reach to kiss him, to get any part of him I could.

“Tell me, I want to hear you say it.”

“Why? You know I want you. Isn’t that enough?” I asked.

His thumbs caressed my hipbones, but I wanted more. Needed more.

“No. I want the words.” He leaned down, dragging his tongue across my lower lip. When I tried to get more, he pulled back, no trace of teasing on his face. “I want to know that I have you on the same fucking edge you’ve had me dangling on for weeks now, desperate to know how you feel, taste, sound when you’re coming apart.”

His words—those sweet, seductive, dirty freaking words turned me up another notch, deepened the pulsing ache I had right where his hips were pressed. How the hell could I keep up with this man?

“Words give you power over me,” I admitted. I tried to roll my hips again, but he held me pinned, immobile. “You’re already the one in control.”

He lowered his head, dragging his tongue from the line of my pajama bottoms, past my belly button, through the valley of my breasts and ending at my neck before he kissed me. There was an edge of desperation to his kiss that hadn’t been there before, like he could kiss my compliance from me.

He damn near did. I would have done almost anything to keep him kissing me like that, but it wasn’t enough. My body was on fire, demanding a release I’d denied it for way too long.

“Control?” he questioned as he pulled away, those blue eyes digging into my soul in a way nothing else could. “Okay, I like being in control, especially when I have you underneath me. But the power is all yours. You just have to realize that I will do whatever you ask, whatever you need. I might control your body, but you control every…part…of… me.” He punctuated each word with a slight thrust against me, the pressure enough to send tendrils of pleasure through my limbs as if he’d caressed my entire body. “Now tell me what you want. I am yours to command.”

“I want your hands on me,” I answered. Then, before he could ask me where, I showed him.

EXCERPT REVEAL: MACK DADDY by Penelope Ward

mack daddy release date

pwmackdaddybookcover5x8_bw_high-fixedFrom New York Times bestselling author, Penelope Ward, comes a sexy, STANDALONE second-chance romance.

They called him Mack Daddy. No, seriously, his name was Mack. Short for Mackenzie. Thus, the nickname. Perfect, right?

So was he: perfect. The perfect physical male specimen.

At the private school where I taught, Mack Morrison was the only man around in a sea of women.

Everyone wanted a piece of the hot single father of the sweet little boy.

I was riddled with jealousy, because they didn’t know that—to me—he was much more.

They didn’t know about our past.

He’d chosen my school for his son on purpose, because Mack and I, we had unfinished business.

As my friend Lorelai so eloquently put it: “Unfinished business between two people who are clearly attracted to each other is like an eternal case of blue balls.” And I was suffering in pain from my case.

I was still intensely attracted to Mack. I tried to resist him, immersing myself further into a relationship with another man just to protect my heart.

Not to mention, getting involved with a parent was strictly against school rules. But seeing Mack day in and day out was breaking me down.

And soon I might be breaking all the rules.

Author’s note – Told in alternating points of view, Mack Daddy is a full-length standalone novel.

MACK DADDY EXCERPT

Penelope Ward

It was the evening of our monthly PTO meeting. On the agenda was to designate the volunteers for several fundraisers that would take place in the spring.

Setting up the refreshments and a coffee urn in the hallway outside of the classroom, I couldn’t wait to get this over with so that I could go home, get into my pajamas, and relax. It was always exhausting to have evening commitments when the workday ran so late to begin with.

A deep voice from behind startled me. “A keg would be much more fun, wouldn’t it?”

I turned around to find Mack standing there, holding a box of chocolate chip cookies from the supermarket.

“What are you doing here?”

He placed the cookies on the table. “This is the parent and teachers meeting, isn’t it?”

“Yes, but…” I hesitated, not even knowing what to say.

He finished my sentence. “But I’m not supposed to be included in that group?” Mack snapped his finger. “Oh, I’m sorry. I thought PTO stood for ‘pissing teacher off.’ My bad.”

“Well, if that were the case, you might be in the right place.”

“This is the right place for me tonight.”

“This meeting is for serious participants.”

“I’m serious about the teacher. Does that count?”

“No.”

“Actually, in all seriousness, I’d also like to help. It’s the least I can do after crashing your school year. I really would like to be as involved as I can in Jonah’s education. That’s the truth, okay? Getting to spend time with you is an added benefit.”

What could I say? He had just as much right to be here as anyone else.

“Just be aware that this isn’t the right place to be joking around or distracting the other attendees, for that matter.”

“I don’t plan on distracting anyone but you.”

“Yeah, well you have quite the fan base here. We have a very strict agenda to adhere to.”

He moved in closer and just stared me down for a bit. The contact caused my skin to prickle and my nipples to harden. “Don’t worry,” he said as he looked down, seeming to notice that my nipples were piercing through the fabric of my shirt. “Your points are well noted, Miss O’Hara.” He wriggled his brows. “I’ll see you inside.”

I hated that he knew he was having an effect on me. If my body had this kind of response now, what would have happened if he’d actually done more? Spontaneous impregnation? Some things just never change, and my reaction to this man was an example of that.

A long table sat in the middle of the spare classroom where we held the meeting. There wasn’t a single man in the room besides Mack. He was like the centerpiece.

I took my seat at the end of the table. “So, shall we get started?” Looking down at my list, I said, “First on the agenda is the book fair. We need to elect someone to be in charge of it and coordinate the volunteers.”

Mack raised his hand.

“Yes?” I asked.

“That sounds like it’s right down my alley. I’d like to volunteer to run the book fair.”

“What makes you want that task? It’s a lot of responsibility.”

He thought about it for a moment then said, “I write children’s books. I think I’d be a perfect fit.”

“That’s a good point,” one of the women said. “He might be the perfect fit.”

I’m sure you’re thinking he’d be the perfect fit, alright…in your vagina.

“Okay…but I hope you know that there is a tremendous amount of work that goes into organizing that particular event. It takes place over the course of an entire weekend. You have to place orders with the bookseller, do inventory, delegate tasks, and arrange for an onsite food vendor because many people just come for the food. Ultimately, the food is the bait.”

“I can bait people. I’m a master baiter.” He paused. “I mean…I can handle it. I’ll get a shitload of people to sign up.”

An attending nun gave him a dirty look for his use of foul language.

He cleared his throat, seeming to regret his choice of terminology. “I’ll get people to attend. Don’t worry.”

“I’ll put your name down as a possibility. We’ll take a vote at the end.”

“Thank you.”

Looking around the room, I asked, “Is there anyone else here who is interested in taking the reigns on the book fair?”

Not a single person budged.

One woman said, “No, but I’ll be happy to help Mack with whatever he needs.”

I’m sure you will.

Mack nodded then offered a smug smile. “Thank you.” He then took a bite of his cookie and winked at me.

REVIEW: Good Boy by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy

Good Boy by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy

A stand-alone #RomanticComedy from the team of Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy.

Hosting her brother’s wedding for an MVP guest list is the challenge of Jess Canning’s life. Already the family screw-up, she can’t afford to fail. And nobody (nobody!) can learn of the colossal mistake she made with the best man during a weak moment last spring. It was wrong, and there will not be a repeat. Absolutely not. Even if he is the sexiest thing on two legs.

Blake Riley sees the wedding as fate’s gift to him. Jess is the maid of honor and he’s the best man? Let the games begin. So what if he’s facing a little (fine, a lot) of resistance? He just needs to convince the stubborn blonde that he’s really a good boy with a bad rap. Luckily, every professional hockey player knows that you’ve got to make an effort if you want to score.

But Jess has more pressing issues to deal with than sexy-times with a giant man-child. Such as: Will the ceremony start on time, even though someone got grandma drunk? Does glitter ever belong at a wedding? And is it wrong to murder the best man?

Caution: May cause accidental aspiration of tea or coffee. Do not read in a public place where loud laughter is inappropriate. Contains hot but hilarious hockey players, puppy cuddling and a snarky pair of underwear.

May cause inappropriate laughter. Plan accordingly. 😉

Review

In Us, Jamie and Wes’ story, readers were introduced to Wes’ unfiltered and uninhibited teammate; a guy with a personality just as big as his muscular, athletic body, and while it seems easy to classify Blake Riley as just another stupid jock, in Good Boy, Blake proves that he’s so much more than his kooky words and his large ego…now all he has to do is show Jess Canning what’s beneath his playboy persona and ensure her that he’s worth more than their one-night stand, something she sees as just another colossal mistake in her life.

“Cheezus” is Blake Riley way more than he appears to be. His goofiness and crazy personality definitely makes him a larger-than-life character – one that may rub people the wrong way due to his constant innuendoes and his in your face temperament, but as funny and inappropriate as he appears to be, he’s also a caring, helpful, and genuine man who loves his family and will do anything for those he loves, even if it means making himself look bad in the process.

Jess Canning’s lack of confidence and low self-esteem places her in direct contrast to Blake’s fiercely, confident attitude. And while she may feel like the black sheep of the Canning clan, those feelings are largely brought on by herself due to her inability to follow through with any one of her career choices, and that attitude as well as her constant feelings of inadequacy at the beginning of the story made it difficult to understand what Blake saw in her.

But as Blake continues to build Jess up and prove to her just how much of a good boy he actually is, Jess begins to loosen up and go after the things that she truly wants, spending more and more time with Blake and keeping his ego in check while he helps her to identify her superpower and show her that them having more than one hook up is inevitable.

I absolutely adored getting to know Blake’s softer side; the depth of his character will surprise readers and I was definitely blown away with just how giving and sensitive he is. Blake is the kind of guy who just keeps picking away at someone, forcing him/her to see just how good things can be if s/he looked closely at what was right in front of him/her.

Getting to experience Blake and Jess’ story as well as Jamie and Wes’ big day made Good Boy the perfect read, and I love the fact that there are a whole lot of hockey players’ stories for Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy to tell!

RELEASE TOUR: REVIEW, EXCERPT, AND GIVEAWAY: How to Date a Douchebag: The Failing Hours by Sara Ney

Title: How to Date a Douchebag: The Failing Hours

Genre: New Adult, Sports Romance, College Romance

Author: Sara Ney

Release Date: January 31, 2017

Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/32066878-the-failing-hours

htdad-2-bn-kobo

Zeke Daniels isn’t just a douchebag; he’s an asshole.

A total and complete jerk, Zeke keeps people at a distance. He has no interest in relationships—most assholes don’t.

Dating? Being part of a couple? Nope. Not for him.

He’s never given any thought to what he wants in a girlfriend, because he’s never had any intention of having one.

Shit, he barely has a relationship with his family, and they’re related; his own friends don’t even like him.

So why does he keep thinking about Violet DeLuca?

Sweet, quiet Violet—his opposite in every sense of the word.

The light to his dark, even her damn name sounds like rays of sunshine and happiness and shit.

And that pisses him off, too.

htdad2_review

If I’ve learned anything from the reality of everyday living as well as the fictional world of books, it’s that there are always reasons for people’s actions and comments…behind-the-scenes’ information that most people don’t try to break through to because the outer shell of callousness, broodiness, and downright douchebaggery is too tough to pierce…too hellish to confront.

But then there are others who see beneath the bullshit…who may seem meek but actually have strong backbones because of what they’ve endured and their willingness to go beneath the abrasive surface and unearth the goodness wrapped around the rough and jagged edges that very few choose to battle provide them with enough compassion and selflessness to weather the menacing glares and hurtful words that are thrown their way and teach the douchebags that there’s another way to live.

Douchebags are a complicated and layered breed whose foul temperament and unapproachable personality leave others feeling uncomfortable and annoyed, and Zeke Daniels definitely personifies this category; in fact, he just might be its King. There are so many characteristics about him that should and will rub other characters and readers the wrong way, but here’s the thing, that’s what he WANTS them to feel…that’s what he lives for…his self-deprecation knows no bounds and he uses it as a shield…as a way to prevent anyone from getting close to him so that he doesn’t have to fear being abandoned yet again. Every abrasive comment…every menacing glare is all a part of his coping mechanism, and because everyone, for the most part, takes Zeke at face value without trying to consider why he is the way that he is, which further feeds into his resentment of others and further proves that there’s no reason to be anything but an asshole because no one seems to be worth acting any other way.

Until Violet.

Violet DeLuca, unbeknownst to both her and Zeke, is a game changer for him. When she’s around, he can no longer act like a lobotomized cretin because even though she’s shy and intimidated by Zeke’s big bad wolf temperament, she also calls him out on his shit and refuses to be treated like a second-class citizen in her own life. Violet’s perfectly aware of the chip that Zeke has on his shoulder and one would think that his arrogant, sarcastic, and condescending facade would deter her from spending time with him and asking him for things that he would never readily do for anyone let alone someone he hardly knows, but when it comes to helping others, Violet’s compassionate side always wins out, which means that if she needs to poke the bear in order to get what she needs for other people, she’ll do so with an arsenal of snark, kindness, and patience.

The Failing Hours is my first read by Sara Ney, and I’m happy to say that I’ve found another author I adore; Ney’s characters are dynamically layered, and those layers are exposed throughout the course of the story, illustrating that there’s so much more to them than what other characters seem to want to take at face value and proving that if someone were to take the time to understand who they are and why they act the way they do, it just might allow that person the chance to change his ways.

There’s definitely a stereotypical, societal view of who a douchebag is, and while Zeke epitomizes that perception and even owns up to being an asshole, for some, Zeke included, it’s all an act to conceal their true feelings…the pain beneath the anger…the brokenness just below the impenetrable facade, and while there may never be anything or anyone that will be able to get through to every douchebag in the world, those who wear those qualities as more of an albatross than a crown can alter their demeanors when the price of remaining a jerk is too great to pay, especially if it means losing someone who makes them a better person.

Sara Ney’s How to Date a Douchebag series is a great addition to the New Adult Romance genre because it goes beyond the surface level components and allows an insider’s look at what makes people who they are and what it takes to help those who need it most to change their ways. A douchebag will definitely always have douchebag tendencies, but if he’s lucky, he’ll find someone who takes those characteristics and proves that there’s more to him than his toolish ways.

Bring on the next douchebag!

4.5 Poison Apples

“Best Read of 2017! A one click must for any lover of hot, sexy romance done RIGHT ! [This] story is the quintessential slow burn effect…Zeke will come to own your body and soul–I am OBSESSED with this series and The Failing Hours has just shot to my ‘Best of All Time’ list. Be prepared to fall in love with a douche bag and the woman who sets him straight. ” – Books and Boys Book Blog

“That was EVERYTHING I expected, wanted, dreamed of. . . this is a MUST FREAKING READ. UNFORGETTABLE goodness. NA romance at it’s best.”  – Angie’s Dreamy Reads

“Sara Ney has delivered a sexy, jerkwad douchebag with soul-deep feelings and the sweet, kind, unassuming girl to reach his hidden heart in one of the best NA romantic comedies I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. Ney’s impeccable writing, fresh characters, and feel-good story will stick with you forever.” – Bestselling Author Staci Hart

“I took so much pleasure in Zeke’s looming destruction (insert evil laugh)….” – The Reading Belles

The clock on the wall counts the seconds, steady as the rhythm of my beating heart, which thumps wildly within my chest until the glass door to the library opens, propelled by a gust of wind.

Some new fallen leaves flutter in, the heavy doors slamming from the draft.

Along with them? Zeke Daniels.

He shuffles in, dark gray sweatpants hanging low on his hips, black Iowa Wrestling hoodie pulled up over his head, the university’s bright yellow mascot screen-printed across the chest. Backpack slung over one shoulder, black athletic flip-flops, and a pair of black sunglasses perched on the bridge of his strong nose complete the overall ensemble.

He is utterly…ridiculous.

Unapproachable.

Daunting.

His arrogance knows no bounds; I can see it in his loose gait, the exaggerated swagger, and the too-casual way he’s dragging his flip-flops across the cold, marble tile floor. It’s noisy, irritating, and completely uncalled for.

In the moment, my mind drifts to his personal life, and I theorize that he listens to heavy metal music to sooth his foul temperament, drinks his coffee black—as black as his soul—and his liquor straight up. I imagine once he’s had sex with someone, they’re never invited back. I go one step further and theorize that they’re never invited to spend the night at his place, either.

Zeke Daniels makes his way to a table at the far end of the room, near the periodicals, one out of the way with plenty of privacy.

Sets his bag down in one of the four wooden chairs. Flicks on the small study lamp. Plugs his laptop cord into the base and stands.

Turns.

Our eyes would have met then were it not for those ludicrous sunglasses. I choose the exact moment he lifts his gaze to look down at the ground. Busy myself with shuffling papers on the counter. Count to ten instead of chanting, Please don’t come over, please don’t come over, please don’t come over…

But luck isn’t on my side because he most decidedly does.

Makes his way over like a predator at a pace so deliberate, I’m convinced he’s doing it on purpose. As if he suspects I’m watching from under my long lashes, dreading his imminent arrival.

He basks in my discomfort.

The distance between us closes, his strides purposeful.

Twenty feet.

Fifteen.

Ten.

Eight.

Three.

His large hand reaches up, pushing down the hood of his sweatshirt, his fingertips pinching the earpiece of his sunglasses and pulling them off his face. My eyes follow the movements as he folds them closed, hanging them on the neckline of his hoodie.

His gaze lingers—those clear gray eyes famous around campus—and finds the shiny silver bellhop bell perched on the counter with the sign next to it that reads, Ring for help.

Ding.

The tip of his forefinger presses down on the small bell.

Ding.

He hits it again, despite me standing not three feet in front of him.

What an ass.

Purveyor of all things witty & romantic, I love: iced latte’s, traveling, and bright, bold colors. On any given day, you can find me in my office, lovingly gazing at my bookshelf or shuffling my Bic felt-tip pen collection. I love hand writing letters, and sarcasm.

I live in the midwest, but “Will Write for Travel,” and believe everyone should follow their dreams, no matter how big or small. My favorite authors include Cindy Miles, S Walden, Suzanne Enoch, Tessa Dare (to name a few). I am a glutton for Historical, RomCom, Sports and MC romance.

One husband. Two daughters. Plenty of chaos.

About Plus One

No feelings.

No lies of calling the next day, and no empty promises of not banging anyone’s mother.

If I could act like I’ve never met a set of twins I screwed on the same night, thinking they were the same person, then I could do this.

It was the perfect set up for a fake relationship and it was simple.

We faked our smiles, we faked our laughs; hell, we even faked our love. It wasn’t real.

But that kiss was anything but fake, and the orgasm was anything but pretend.

Somehow my plus one had become more, and now I’m standing here with my underwear around my ankles wondering what in the hell to do next.

Rae and Max may be each other’s plus one, but their relationship is nothing more than a business transaction…one with strict rules and boundaries that cannot be broken because they refuse to put their hearts on the line after “unfucking” themselves from the betrayal of their previous relationship.

A year after her almost wedding, Rae finally has her life back, and even if she parties a bit too much, she’s living on her own terms, remaining emotionally unavailable despite her mother’s wish for Rae to settle down with a good man.

Max also has his mother to contend with when it comes to bringing a Date to his sister’s wedding, and he refuses to be set-up again or bring one of the many disposal women he’s used for a night of sex, so when Rae comes back into his life, they embark on a fake relationship and work to sell their newfound feelings to the people who matter to them the most.

But what happens when Max and Rae have a hard time discerning between what’s real and what’s not and when lines are crossed and rules are broken, what does it mean for two people who never thought they’d find themselves wanting to risk their hearts again, especially when they started out as a fabricated couple.

I love that MN Forgy ventured away from her dark and gritty worlds and brought her readers a fun and steamy romantic comedy. Getting Plus One from both Rae and Max’s point of view allows readers to understand their perceptions on what’s real and fake in the time they spend together, and while both are clearly afraid to turn their fictional romance into a real one, it’s also clear that there’s something between that will become too difficult to deny.

Rae and Max’s story is a quick read with likable characters, unpredictable moments, and a supporting character who deserves her own story, which is where I hope Missy Blake ventures next!

Author: Brooke Blaine

Synopsis

As one of the most prestigious wedding coordinators in Los Angeles, Paige Iris Traynor-Ashcroft is known for being classy, elegant, and the orchestrator of many happily-ever-afters.

But in the words of Paige herself: “What a crock of shiitake.”

Known affectionately (or not) as P.I.T.A. to those closest to her, she’s never been one to buy into the whole monogamy thing for herself. Sure, her BFFs are getting picked off by Cupid one by one, but his arrows have nothing on her semiautomatic.

Richard “Dick” Dawson does his best to live up to his name. A long-time frenemy and manwhore extraordinaire, he thrives on pushing limits, pushing up skirts—and pushing every single one of Paige’s buttons. He’s the itch she can’t scratch, and doesn’t want to. Or does she?

What happens when blazing-hot rage turns to crazy, unexplainable lust? Surely not…love? Because that would just be a total P.I.T.A.

Review

Since being introduced to the four best friends in Licked, in first book in Brooke Blaine’s L.A. Liaisons series, Paige Iris Traynor-Ashcroft, or P.I.T.A, has been upfront with her jaded attitude when it comes to love and marriage, and even though her profession as a wedding planner seems like a conflict of interest due to her disdain for the very thing she helps create and organize for her clients, it also seems like her job might actually help her to see past her anti-marriage stance and secretly enjoy making couples’ dreams come true, even if it she refuses to believe that she’ll ever walk down the aisle herself.

At the end of Hooker, Blaine teased readers with Paige’s volatile relationship with long-time frenemy, Dawson, and while it was clear that they challenged each other and lived to make each other’s lives difficult, there was also an undeniable magnetic connection between them, so I was anxiously anticipating the fireworks that were headed readers way when P.I.T.A.’s story was told and boy did Blaine deliver one hell of a show!

Paige is definitely one badass bitch, and she owns up to her cool demeanor and her man-eating ways. With her twisted sense of humor and her crass remarks, she definitely stands out in a crowd, and while she lives her life on her own terms, enjoying the company of men and the orgasms they give her, her warped perspective on relationships stems from her non-existent relationship with her parents and the heartache from the few “committed” relationships she had before she took it upon herself to guard her heart and never fall for anyone who could let her down again.

Dawson is a wildcard in P.I.T.A.’s life. They lived next door to each other, growing up as best friends, but somewhere along the way, Paige decided to no longer be friends with Dawson, creating the hot/cold interactions that they now have, and while they definitely love pushing each other’s buttons and swapping barbs, there is an undeniable undertone of sexual attraction that surfaces when Paige and Dawson find themselves in one crazy situation, making it impossible for them to pretend to hate each other and for Paige to forget about Dirty Dick Dawson and his 9 and a half inch cock.

Paige and Dawson’s story was such an entertaining read, partly due to the fact that I never knew what was going to come out of her mouth next and partly because it was easy to see how she and Dawson kept circling around each other, trying to figure out what the other person’s endgame was but never realizing that when it was all said and done that they’d find themselves exactly where they needed and wanted to be.

Brooke Blaine writes fantastic romantic comedies and this frenemy to lover’s story will have readers shaking their heads at Paige’s inability to see what’s right in front of her while also rooting for a walk down the aisle from the woman who said that marriage just wasn’t for her.

About Brooke Blaine

You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a-holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her ‘quiet time.’ Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas.

Brooke enjoys writing sassy contemporary romance, whether in the form of comedy, suspense, or erotica. The latter has scarred her conservative Southern family for life, bless their hearts.

If you’d like to get in touch with her, she’s easy to find – just keep an ear out for the Rick Astley ringtone that’s dominated her cell phone for ten years.
