Tattooed Dots Blog Tour
February 11 – 18, 2014
Synopsis:
Easton Crawford put his modeling career and good looks before his marriage until it was over. Years later, he is finally learning how to be the father his daughter needed him to be. He’s not looking for a new mom for his daughter—just nightly casual hook-ups. When his best friend, Avery, convinces him that a good way to meet a lot of single women is to go on a single’s cruise, Easton finds more than just a hook-up when he meets a fellow cruiser, Brooke.
Brooke Bradley has taken care of her younger sister, Bailee, for most of their lives. While their mother was enjoying not being a mother, Brooke became the adult in the household at thirteen. She had always taken care of the people in her life, especially her boyfriend, Jared. If it wasn’t for Brooke, Jared wouldn’t know how to function throughout the day.
When Brooke’s best friend, Nicole, gives her a gift of going on a cruise without telling her that it’s a single’s cruise, will Brooke find someone willing to be her constant and finally leave Jared?
Brooke and Easton learn that people are brought into their lives for many reasons. Over time, they find out what those reasons are. Some are to be a temporary acquaintance while others are there for life.
What will Easton do when he meets Brooke and realizes that she is someone that is meant to be in his life forever, especially after Brooke has an unexpected surgery and Easton is scared of losing her forever?

Review:
***Arc was provided by author in exchange for an honest review***
Let me start by saying that readers will undoubtedly dislike Easton at the beginning of the story. I was so turned off by his attitude and actions in the Prologue that I almost didn’t keep reading. But, I knew that Kimberly Knight had a reason for portraying him this way, so I continued, hoping that she would offer redemption for who he was in the beginning of the story.
“But I needed to make this right. I needed to be a better man, a better father, a better person.”
That statement alone helped me see Easton in a new light. It doesn’t mean that I was completely sold on this “changed” man…he made this comment early on in the story, so I was looking for him to prove himself. Two things redeemed him in my eyes – the way he loves his daughter and the support he offers Brooke when she needs him the most.
Easton and Brooke meet on a singles cruise – Easton’s plan is to have a week’s worth of sex, and Brooke’s there to be Nicole’s wing woman. Their first encounter changes their plans quickly as Nicole has an instant connection with Easton’s best friend, Avery. Due to their best friends hooking up, they find themselves spending a lot of time together, even sleeping in the same room, but nothing physical happens because Brooke has a boyfriend, and she refuses to be a cheater. Because they can’t have sex, Easton and Brooke get to know each other. In their short week together, they both develop intense feelings for one another, but what will happen when the real world starts again after the cruise? What will Brooke do about her boyfriend, Jared? The answers to these questions come quickly in the text because events occur that allow them to give a relationship a try. What follows after they get together is a story about the obstacles life throws at you when you least expect them, but through it all, Easton and his “superwoman” work together to feel again – to experience all of the goods and bads as a reunited front.
Overall, I enjoyed Tattooed Dots. I had a hard time getting into the story at the beginning, which could have been because I was so angry at Easton. I felt like it took a little bit too long to get the main characters in the same location. I understand that a back story had to be set up for both Easton and Brooke, but the slow moving plot at the beginning made it hard for me to connect to the main characters and the plotline. Once they finally met on the cruise, the story picked up for me. It was refreshing to see the hero and heroine actually getting to know one another before jumping into bed together. Instant love is difficult for me, so Easton and Brooke actually having conversations worked well. I’ll admit, though, I didn’t really feel connected to the main characters that much…I’m not sure why…I definitely saw the connection between them, but for some reason, it just didn’t draw me to them. I’m hoping since the book is the first one in the series that I will be able to watch Easton and Brooke grow as a couple and see them finally “feeling” all that a loving, stable relationship has to offer. I also can’t wait to see how Avery and Nicole’s relationship works out.
I have to say that the symbolic nature of the title really works for me, and I am eager to see how Kimberly Knight will incorporate future titles for the texts in this series.

Kimberly Knight has just moved from the Bay Area in California to the mountains near a lake with her loving husband and spoiled cat, Precious. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her favorite reality TV shows, playing co-ed slow pitch softball in a few local leagues, rooting for her SF Giants and San Jose Sharks and playing computer games like World of Warcraft with Audrey Harte and online poker. Now that she is near a lake, she plans on working on her tan and doing more outdoor stuff like…watching hot guys ski. However, the bulk of her time is dedicated to writing and reading Romance and Erotic fiction.
