INAPPROPRIATE IS LIVE!
A Standalone Contemporary Romance
#1 New York Times Bestselling Author Vi Keeland
Blurb
Terminated for inappropriate behavior.
I couldn’t believe the letter in my hands.
Nine years. Nine damn years I’d worked my butt off for one of the largest companies in America, and I was fired with a form letter when I returned home from a week in Aruba.
All because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my friends—a private video made on my private time. Or so I thought…
Pissed off, I cracked open a bottle of wine and wrote my own letter to the gazillionaire CEO telling him what I thought of his company and its practices.
I didn’t think he’d actually respond.
I certainly never thought I’d suddenly become pen pals with the rich jerk.
Eventually, he realized I’d been wronged and made sure I got my job back.
Only…it wasn’t the only thing Grant Lexington wanted to do for me.
But there was no way I was getting involved with my boss’s boss’s boss. Even if he was ridiculously gorgeous, confident, and charming.
It would be completely wrong, inappropriate even.
Sort of like the video that got me into trouble to begin with.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
But sometimes it’s twice as fun.

My Review
Inappropriate…unfitting…unbecoming…unprofessional…unbefitting
Regardless of which one of the above words you choose, its defining characteristic is that an act or situation that is not regraded as proper or appropriate given the set of circumstances that surround it.
But here’s the thing…who deems something appropriate or inappropriate? Who holds the power to judge others’ imperfections or ill-advised acts?
For Vi Keeland’s newest heroine, Ireland Saint James, one private act made public is deemed inappropriate by her employer, ruining her career and finding her out of a job that she’s given every part of herself to.
This is when things get interesting, not only for the wronged and disgruntled ex-employee, but also for Grant Lexington, the president and CEO of Lexington Industries, Ireland’s place of employment. And what starts out between these two, because of one drunken email, seems to epitomize every attribute of inappropriate behavior, but in all the most deliciously decadent ways.
From the very first message, Grant Lexington is intrigued by the feisty sender, and the more he learns about her, the more he wants to know, and even though it puts them both in rather precarious positions due to his role in Lexington Industries and a past that has dictated any kind of ‘real’ relationship he has had with a woman, sometimes the most unprofessional actions are the ones that make lives fuller and provide unusual but necessary ways to heal.
From the very first chapter, I adored Ireland and Grant’s story. Their chemistry resonated from its pages and the fact that she wasn’t just another beck and call girl and actually challenged Grant made him want things he hasn’t wanted in quite some time.
It’s clear just how in sync Ireland and Grant are despite the obstacles that they have to face, and while they both struggle with certain aspects of their relationship, they grow and heal because of each other’s presence in their lives, proving just how appropriate doing something unbecoming is exactly what needs to happen to be redeemed and renewed.
Inappropriate in a well-rounded and well written contemporary romance. It’s definitely one of my favorite reads by Vi Keeland because of its uniqueness and just how many emotions Keeland weaves through her characters’ words and actions. A definite must-read.
