COVER REVEAL: MISS MECHANIC by Emma Hart

Two mechanics. One rivalry.

She’ll prove she’s as good as she says she is.

He’ll prove her place isn’t under the hood.

It’s over it.

“Don’t let the bastards get you down.”

For twenty-six years, I lived by my daddy’s motto. Which is why “Mechanic Wanted” is all it takes for me to apply for the job at the garage we once owned.

And I meet the biggest bastard of them all.

Dexter Ryne. Hotter than Hell in July and a firm believer that my place is on reception, taking phone calls and looking pretty. Not getting dirty under the hood of a car.

Determined to prove each other wrong, we make a deal.

I have three weeks to prove my worth as a mechanic. If I don’t, I’m on telephone duty.

If I do, he’ll accept defeat and make my job permanent.

Now, all I have to do is fight my attraction to the cocky little… beep.

Problem is, an engine isn’t the only thing he knows how to make purr…

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About The Outpost

Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn’t expect to fall for his big heart.

Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn’t exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article’s success, she’s on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she’s forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she’s secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn’t the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.

Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he’s a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won’t be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn’t as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.

Review

Beau Holt and Sabrina Mackenzie may come from different worlds and they may even understand that anything between them will only be temporary, but the desire they feel to build a connection pulses through them both and it will not be denied – one way or another, Beau and Sabrina will give into their attraction for each other and risk losing their hearts in a small outpost in Prescott, Montana, because living in the now given all that Sabrina has been through makes Beau beyond protective of her and it allows Sabrina to feel safe in Beau’s arms for however long she has to remain out of sight.

Beau is definitely a modern-day mountain man and Sabrina’s nickname for the broody guy, Goliath, is quite fitting given his desire to protect those he loves and the strong will that seems to resonate off of him. It’s easy to understand why he’s so conflicted over her feelings for Sabrina because where they live, how they live, and what they live for make their lives strikingly different. But her pull is too much for him to deny and even though he knows their time is fleeting, he can no longer push Sabrina away when all he wants to do is pull her close and never let her go.

Sabrina is a fantastic heroine; her independence is extremely important to her and her fight and her snark are still present even after everything she’s been through to get her story published and to get to Montana. She is completely out of her element and she’s on the run from men who want payback for exposing their evil deeds. She’s battered, bruised, and fragile when she arrives in Prescott to see her best friend, Felicity, and she definitely doesn’t know what ‘roughing it’ truly means BUT she follows orders, puts on a brave face, and does what needs to be done in order to protect not only herself but those she loves who can potentially get caught in the crosshairs.

Beau and Sabrina make a perfect team; Beau refuses to let anything happen to her and Sabrina refuses to be a burden on him or anyone else. They’re out in the middle of nowhere but when they’re together, it just feels right and neither of them can get enough of it, but the times that Beau is back in Prescott and Sabrina’s left to her own devices, is when she begins to question everything she did to get herself into this situation and what it’s going to take to get herself out of it and still keep her heart intact when she heads back to Seattle.

The setting of Beau and Sabrina’s story is just as important as the characters themselves. The secluded, uninhabited Outpost and the land that surrounds it becomes its own character in the story line; it’s supposed to be Sabrina’s refuge…her super-secret hideout…her off the grid oasis and it becomes that the more comfortable she gets with being out in the wilderness by herself, but it also turns into so much more, in both positive and negative ways, and her fear is that once she leaves her little hideaway haven, she’ll not know how to live in society again and she’ll lose her one saving grace of everything she endured to expose a wrong…the man who has come to mean everything to her, even when she told herself he couldn’t be anything more than temporary.

Devney Perry is a fantastic storyteller; it’s easy to imagine the settings she creates in her Jamison Valley series because her eye for detail and her ability to transfer that into descriptive words makes each scene come to life around her characters.

I’m excited for Maisy’s story; it will be interesting to see the kind of man Perry chooses for this single mom and what it means for her overprotective brothers and the little boy who means everything to her.

COVER REVEAL: xo, Zach by Kendall Ryan

We are so thrilled to bring you the cover from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan.

xo, Zach is a steamy new forbidden romance full of heat, heart & humor releasing January 23, 2018!

The first time we met was at a party.

Your ex arrived to show off the person he’d left you for last month, and you asked me to pretend to be your date.

I was more than happy to help. You were attractive, smart and witty–and that kiss we shared? It left me wanting you for days.

The second time we met was in my office on campus where we were both surprised to discover you were the new master’s degree student in poetry that I would be working with. You promised to be professional. I did no such thing.

The late nights and intense study sessions spent alongside you majorly throw me off my game. I want you, and I fight with myself daily over this fact.

I know I’m crass, that my sexual innuendos and dirty mouth annoy you, but I live for those two bright spots of color in your cheeks. If that’s the only reaction I can get out of you, I’ll gladly take it.

You hate Mondays so every Monday I slip an anonymous poem into your bag and your smile gets me through the week.

I think I’m falling for you, and I know it’s wrong. I know that I’m only supposed to be your adviser and nothing more, but here’s the thing. I think you’re falling for me too.

xo, Zach

Wells Lemiere knew the moment he saw Matty Haverbrooke, he had to have him. Matty was quiet, he was talented, he was beautiful, and Wells couldn’t stay away.

As the youngest and most talented son of the NHL Commissioner, Matty had found the burden of family expectations almost too heavy to carry on even his broad shoulders. He had no intention of getting involved in a relationship with Wells. But the heart he’d given up for dead had other ideas.

Their affair was intense and overwhelming, but when Matty couldn’t bring himself to come out and admit he wanted a public future with the man he loved, Wells had no choice but to honor his vow to live openly…and leave Matty behind.

But then he learns Wells is marrying another, and Matty knows he can’t let that happen. Can he throw down his gloves and embrace his future with both hands? Or will he pull the door to his closet shut once more?

TWOMAN_promo2

Excerpt

Stretching in the bed, Matty extended the motion from his fingertips to his toes. It was a great stretch, but shit, what time was it? With his eyes still shut, he reached for his phone on the nightstand, bringing it to his face, blinking to see it was close to six a.m. Why in the hell was he awake? This was a vacation, he needed to fucking sleep, especially with how much all these people talked. Wells’s family was nice, he liked them just fine, but damn, they talked all the time. And picked on each other! He wasn’t a stranger to razzing, but for fuck’s sake, he wasn’t sure there was a moment someone wasn’t picking on someone else.

It was very entertaining.

But very new.

Or maybe that was just his fucked-up upbringing. Because in the Haverbrooke household, no one really joked or laughed for no reason when he was growing up. Or, hell, even now. Everyone was in their own rooms, doing their own thing. The only time he saw his mother and father was either at dinner or at a hockey game. They never once put him on the bus or made him breakfast; the nanny did that. That didn’t mean he didn’t love his parents. He did, very much, but they were always busy. So were his older brothers, and all he had was Avery. Until he ruined that too.

When he realized the bed was empty, he looked around the room to see that, like his teenage years, he was very alone.

Where was Wells?

Pushing off the blankets, he got out of bed, naked. The windows were open, letting in the salty air. Anyone could look in, but he wasn’t worried about that. When he looked out at the beach, he saw Wells standing in the water, his arms above his head, the muscles in his back taut and undeniably sexy. Reaching for a pair of running shorts, Matty watched Wells while he put them on before going out the front door, shutting it behind him. “Hey.”

Wells looked over his shoulder, his eyes softening at the sight of Matty. “Hey yourself, lazy ass.”

Matty sputtered with laughter as he walked to the shore, the water running up on his feet. “Shit, that’s cold!”

Wells rolled his eyes. “You’re such a baby. It’s great. Especially after running for an hour.”

As Wells turned, coming toward him, a grin moved across Matty’s face. Running did Wells’s body so fucking good. His torso was cut and defined, his pecs thick and mouthwatering, but those shoulders? Yeah, they had Matty’s cock hard within seconds. “Fuck, you’re hot.”

Wells smirked. “I know.”

Rolling his eyes as Wells reached for him, pulling his body against him, Matty let out a little sound of distress. “Dude, it’s cold!”

“No, it’s not. Come here, I’ll keep you warm.”

BLOG TOUR: REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY: Reservations by Kindle Alexander

Title: Reservations

Author: Kindle Alexander

Genre: M/M Romance

Release: October 30, 2017

Goodreads:  https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36384293-reservations

Wildly successful entrepreneur, Thane Walker is stubbornly set in his ways. Adamantly resistant to the shackles of commitment, he’s seen enough unhappy endings to learn the best way to play is by keeping his men on the payroll.

Levi Silva’s dream of graduating from one of the country’s top medical schools is in his grasp, until news from home changes everything. Now, he’s raising his two teenage brothers and trying to keep everyone’s head above water, emotionally and financially.

When Levi’s new job puts him in Thane’s path, their chemistry explodes, but their fear of being involved in relationships keeps them apart. Unfortunately, despite the intense desire drawing them together, neither man can move forward until they get past their own…Reservations.

Reservations ~ the act of keeping back, withholding, or setting apart

Now…I’m perfectly aware that the title of Kindle Alexander’s newest release is the name of the night club that Thane Walker owns and Levi Silva works at, but in my opinion, the above definition resonates more with the story line and perfectly describes just how far apart these two men are in their ideals…their perspective on life…and even the direction that their lives are headed. But even with all of those striking differences and the fact that Levi does not want to be another one of Thane’s paid whores, their attraction to one another…their desire to explore each other’s bodies…to get lost in every delectable part of one another makes Thane throw out his rules, making every attempt to prove to Levi that he is nothing like the men he used to take to his bed and has Levi contemplating just how much his heart would break to be with Thane, even when Levi knows it’s nothing more than sex…or is it???

Thane Walker is unlike any man Levi has ever met, and Kindle Alexander allows readers inside the head of this suave and intelligent businessman; it’s clear that Thane is used to living his life, both professionally and personally, a certain way. He has expectations as to how things will go and to deviate from that path is not something he’s ever thought about doing until Levi entered his life and his world. Now, Thane is questioning every aspect of who he is and what he thought he always wanted, which spooks Thane and leads him to make some choices that he may be unable to rectify. And while I wanted to knock some sense into Thane for reacting the way that he does and deceiving Levi throughout the course of the story, because readers are privy to Thane’s revelations when it comes to his life and his feelings for Levi, it’s easier to stand behind Thane and the steps he’s taking to make Levi his, even if Levi is less receptive than Thane had hoped.

Levi Silva is a man of principles…a man who understands the value of family…of working hard…of paving one’s own way, but he’s also a man who has had devastating loss, and with those horrible events, he has had to step in to care for his brothers, helping them to deal with all of life’s changes as well as put a roof over their head, pay the bills, and still have time to mentor and help them as they struggle to deal with their father’s death and everything that comes with a loss of that magnitude.

Levi truly is a class act; he’s everything a man should be and because he’s in this deplorable situation with no way out but to dig in and fight with everything that he is and has, readers can’t help but want Levi to have things a bit easier…to reclaim the path to medical school that he was on and to find a way to helps his brothers while he also remembers that he’s important as well. Thane definitely factors into Levi’s happiness even when Levi is furious with Thane due to Thane’s obtuseness; it’s clear that these two men connect in significant ways and need one another more than either of them will willingly admit aloud and their sexual chemistry is off the charts, which is illustrated every time they passionately take one another and the constant craving they have for not just each other’s body but their heart and mind as well.

I would be remiss in my review if I didn’t mention Julian’s role in the book. He may be only a supporting character but because he is invested in both Thane and Levi’s lives, his perspective is important, not only to the two men he guides towards each other, but also to readers whose frustration with Thane’s actions make them want to pull their hair out a bit. Julian understands and reads both men incredibly well and even if he does tend to overstep, at times, when it comes to Thane’s business and Levi’s role in it and in Thane’s life, without Julian’s guidance and revelations, I think it would have been more difficult for Thane and Levi to find a common ground and work from there.

I’ve read every single book Kindle Alexander has written and there hasn’t been one that has not moved me emotionally due to the struggles that her heroes go through as well as the life lessons that are imparted throughout the story lines.

Thane and Levi’s story is a perfect blend of steamy and sweet interactions as well as the right amount of struggles to endure. Life and relationships are messy; it’s almost never a clear or an easy journey to get where one wants to be in life, so it makes sense that mistakes will be made and either one of the main characters or the other would have some clear reservations when it comes to embarking down a path that is nothing like they thought it would be, but it’s also in those uncertainties that people prove who they truly are and what they’re willing to do to make things right and make things permanent because love is far from easy but it is so worth it.

Fanmade Book Trailer

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.

The old Raven is supposed to be gone…a new job, new career, new goals are what she is concentrating on, which means that she shouldn’t have any need to cavort with her male co-workers unless it’s a project or idea they are tackling together.

But nothing could have prepared her for Roman Bianchi and all of his sexy goodness, so try as she might to not succumb to her desires when it comes to the man whose office is across from hers, there’s no stopping the instant attraction and overwhelming chemistry that seems to follow them whenever Raven and Roman are in each other’s presence, which means that despite Raven’s rules and her fears of being the odd woman out again, she can’t tame her need for Roman and it’s clear that Roman doesn’t want her to, even if it means upending both of their careers.

The male dominated business world that C.D. Reiss creates in Prince Roman clearly illustrates why Raven is so hellbent on not making the same mistakes in her new job like she did in her old one, focusing on her work and keeping her skirt down and her legs closed, but when the body and then the heart wants what it wants, there’s nothing it won’t do to ease the tension in a variety of naughty ways!

Raven and Roman’s novella has the perfect combination of sweet and sexy moments that make it clear that even if Raven goes against her self-made rules due to Roman’s charm, wit, and sinfully hot body, the difference in this office romance compared to her previous one is that they both share the same feelings and yearn for more even when their fraternization clause can ruin his dream of making partner and her goal of making a name for herself as a kickass employee.

I loved how princely Roman was at work and in public just as much as I adored his kingly ways when he got Raven alone and naked! I’d probably break a few rules too if it meant see what Roman has under his business suit;)

She hurried down the hall as if she’d just dodged three painful minutes in my company.

I shook it off. What was the difference? What was I trying to do here? Get my ass fired? Get her fired? There were dozens of women I could take to bed and absolutely no reason to focus on the one who could make my life and my job miserable.

But that body. The way she walked. The swing of her black hair across her back.

A female voice came from behind me. “There are rumors about that one.”

It was Marie Siska. Founding partner at Siska + Welton. She was in her early fifties and had her brown hair up in a tidy twist. She was a former litigator who had argued in front of the Ninth and had a way of knowing the intricacies of every case we handled.

“What kind of rumors?”

“The unsubstantiated kind.”

She invited me into my own office and closed the door behind us. I sat in front of my own desk, in one of the two guest chairs.

Marie’s lavender pants suit was custom made and she never sat down. She put her hands on the back of the second guest chair, pulling herself up a little as if she wanted to look taller.

“Barney and I have made a decision about you.”

I tried to look completely calm, but there was a pretty good chance my face froze over in the attempt.

“Let’s hear it.”

“Alexander Burke and Neuronet are your catch. If you go, he goes with you. That’s a plus in the senior partner column.”

I’d played MMPORGs with Burke way back in the day. All the zombie shooting had paid off. He was also a great guy and a badass gamer.

“But we’re a recent contract,” she continued. “And it’s short term. He can cut us loose any time for another outside contractor or to keep it all in-house. It’s fine. It’s part of the business, but a long-term retainer could be big for us. One third of future billing.”

“And my name would be one third of the ones on the letterhead.”

She did something she never did. She sat down in front of me. “I’ve wanted to be a lawyer ever since I saw a Senate debate on C-SPAN. We’re a small, classy operation with a stellar reputation. Classy and stellar were the goal, but small wasn’t. We should be litigating in front of the Supreme Court, and the reason we’re not is because we have to scratch and claw every quarter. We can’t take the chances we need to. I have ten or fifteen more years of active participation in this business before I can’t keep up, and it’s coming at me fast. We’ve tried to grow and it’s never stuck. This is our chance to turn this firm into what I dreamed about when I was ten. You are our chance.”

“No pressure.”

About CD Reiss

C.D. Reiss is a USA Today bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up, she’s at the well, hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere, but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

Critics have dubbed the books “poetic,” “literary,” and “hauntingly atmospheric,” which is flattering enough for her to put it in a bio, but embarrassing enough for her not to tell her husband, or he might think she’s some sort of braggart who’s too good to chop a cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

“Bryce,” the producer called from behind the row of cameras. “We’re all set.”

“Thanks.” She waved over the hair and makeup team. My blond hair got fluffed and placed while her skin was dusted and blushed. With both of our lips recolored, we settled in for the interview. The cameraman gave us his countdown and then Bryce did her introduction before turning to me.

“You’ve had quite the year, Sabrina. Just a little over one year ago, you wrote an article for The Seattle Times that shut down the biggest gun-smuggling operation on the upper West Coast. Then you disappeared for six months, only to reemerge as a best-selling romance novelist. You’ve just won a Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting and I’ve heard that there are talks of making your book into a blockbuster. How does it feel to have reached such success in your career?”

“Thank you. It’s been wonderful, albeit very busy.” I smiled and glanced at my lap to hide the flash of pain that crashed through my heart. Nothing about my successes gave me joy. Talking about my accomplishments just reminded me of how much I had lost.

“You’ve made some major achievements since you came back to Seattle,” Bryce said. “Most journalists, including this one, would kill to be in your position. How does it feel?”

I gave her my rehearsed answer. “It’s been incredible. Surreal, really. I’m still in shock at how much has happened over the last year.”

“I can imagine.” She flipped to a new note card. “Let’s talk more about the article.”

My cheerful face belied my true feelings. I was miserable on this television set. I was exhausted from talking about that damn article. I was done having people fuss over its success.

Everyone thought it was the article that had changed my life.

It wasn’t.

It had been the six months I’d spent in Montana.

It had been the six months I’d spent with him.
