The Raven Riders Motorcycle Club gave Cora Campbell and her best friend, Haven, a safe-harbor away from the corrupt and sadistic men who they called their fathers, and while their mental wounds have not completely healed, they’re moving on with their lives with the Ravens at their back. Cora is a beautiful soul whose life before connecting with the Raven Riders was a lonely existence because despite her bond with Haven, there hasn’t been anyone else she can count on or be loved by and that has left her feeling inadequate and broken. Ride Wild, the newest release in Laura Kaye’s Raven Riders series, checked so many of my ‘what I love to read in a romance novel’ boxes that it just might be my favorite of the series! The hero and heroine as well as the supporting characters were well-developed and the story line progressed at a pace that fit what Slider and Cora had to deal with both in the past and currently. I’m such a sucker for a single dad story, and while Slider may feel he’s let his boys down, he loves them with everything that he is and that’s all anyone can ask. Sam and Ben are incredible boys and Cora makes that known with how she treats and cares for them. A family doesn’t have to be made up of only individuals who share the same blood…a family can be built from a band of brothers who have each other’s back and from the joining of a man and his boys with the one woman who will always be there for them no matter the cost. Those are the bonds that are illustrated in Wild Ride, and they’re the ones that everyone would be lucky to have in both the fictional and real world.

“Hey, Cora,” he said, his gravelly morning voice so damn sexy.

“Hey,” she said, tilting her head back to look him in the eye. She wondered if she should get off him, but didn’t really want to.

Not making any move to get up, Slider just looked down at her. “How you feeling?”

“A lot better,” she said, hyperaware that her hand was lying on his chest. His heartbeat faintly registered against her palm. “Still achy and a little off, but better.”

“Good. You should probably take it easy today, though. Whatever that was isn’t likely out of your system yet.”

She nodded. “I will.”

Talking like this, their faces so close, felt so damn intimate that Cora could almost imagine that nothing existed outside of Slider’s bed. She almost didn’t want it to. Especially when his arm squeezed a little tighter around her shoulders and brought them just a little closer. Cora shifted into his embrace, pressing her chest totally flush against his die, and sliding her thigh up until—

Oh, hell. Until she felt the part of him she’d accidentally seen. And it was hard.

He sucked in a breath, and his hand clamped around his thigh. “Shit, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean—”

She placed her fingers loosely over his mouth. She didn’t want him to apologize. Or explain it away. Or push her away.

Cora knew she shouldn’t wan the things she did, but that didn’t make her desires go away. It felt good to want Slider, it made her feel normal, even if she was a little nervous. After what her father had done, that seemed like a victory she didn’t want to relinquish.

And, oh, now that she was touching his face, she really didn’t want to stop. His lips were full and soft under her fingers, his stubble was more ticklish than prickly, and his cheekbone was prominent under his skin.

He licked his lips, and her gaze latched on to the movement.

“Cora,” he rasped, his cock getting even harder against her thigh.

His arousal fueled her own, her hips tilting with the need for friction. The movement had her grinding herself against the firm muscle of his thigh and made both of them suck in a breath. It’s amazing how easy it is for a person’s world to get turned on its head when the right people enter his/her life. And let me tell you…Brantley Cooper and his twin four year olds, Ellie and Eli, barrel into Kali Hancock’s life and soon into her heart like a tornado, crossing all sorts of professional lines, breaking all of her self-enforced rules, and forcing her to question everything she thought she wanted in her life to the point that she might just need to redefine her future in a way that included a certain little boy and little girl and the hot dad who comes with them!

Kali, Miss Fix-It extraordinaire, is one hell of a hard worker. She’s worked her ass off to disprove the stereotype of woman trying to be a part of a profession that has always been seen as a “man’s world” and her skill more than speaks for itself. I love how confident she is at her job and it’s refreshing to see her not doubt herself when it comes to her business and when she goes head-to-head in sparring matches with Brantley. I love Kali’s honesty and the way she acts with Ellie and Eli, even when she wants to pull her hair out. She’s amazing with them and they’re the reason she starts to rethink her life choices and her future.

Brantley Cooper is first and foremost a dad, and even though he was forced to be when he lost his wife two and a half years ago, he’s more than hands-on. He puts Ellie and Eli’s well-being ahead of everything else, but he doesn’t allow them to walk all over him, which is not an easy task given how those two are constantly on the go and constantly in each other’s faces.

Ellie and Eli Cooper are quite the little scene stealers!!! Emma Hart does a fantastic job of capturing their precious and monster-like moments, illustrating exactly why they are both a terrible twosome and a pair of the most sweet and lovable kids, keeping both their father and Kali on their toes because they never know what’s going to come out of the twins’ mouths next or the damage they’re going to do to each other, themselves, or anything or anyone else they come into connect with since they only have one mode: overwhelmingly crazy!

I seriously had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading Miss Fix-It! It’s such a well-written, feel-good story; it will have readers laughing out loud, swooning over how amazing Brantley is with his kids and with Kali, and perhaps even wanting a set of twins as crazy as Ellie and Eli…though I have to admit that they would have rolled right over me;)

Emma Hart adds the perfect amount of drama to the story line because it’s used to express Kali’s fears and uncertainty when it comes to making the Coopers a permanent part of her life and the focus on Kali’s relationship with her step-mom and how her mom’s advice and the way she treated Kali when she first came into Kali’s life is such a godsend to Kali; in my opinion, it’s her step-mom that allows Kali to be the person she’s meant to be with the people she’s meant to be with for the rest of her life.
