Things I left behind in Seattle, Washington: A promising career at a top marking firm, the past I was desperate to escape, and obviously my sense of direction. It was because of all of those reasons I was standing in the middle of New York City lost and cursing at my phone.
If I didn’t get to Tate and Cane soon, I wouldn’t only be late, but also blow the chance to make the good impression on my new boss, Mason Quinn. And I needed that more than anything.
One wrong turn, an unfortunate collision, and an expensive suit drenched in my soy chia tea latte was not how I wanted to start my first day.
Then there was the other little problem I had. The drop dead gorgeous man whose suit I’d ruined was my new boss.
And boy did he look pissed.
Review of The Run In
Mason Quinn and Saylor Night literally ran into each other during their first interaction and the result of that run in was some choice words from both of them and a first impression that left a lot to be desired. And wouldn’t you figure that the person Saylor ended up reaming out would be her new boss, so now she not only had to prove herself in her new job, but she also had to learn to keep her mouth in check in order to show Mason that she’s one heck of a research analyst even if she’s also a smart ass!
I have to admit that Mason’s antics pissed me off throughout much of the story. I completely understand his business drive and his need to focus on his career, leaving no room for any type of relationship other than a string of one night stands, but the steps he takes to prove to himself and to Saylor that she doesn’t affect him as much as she actually does did not sit well with me.
Saylor is just as career minded as Mason, but she didn’t play the kind of games that he did, so I struggled to understand why she invested her heart into building something with Mason that didn’t truly seem worth the risk.
Kelly Elliott does a good job illustrating the undeniable attraction between Saylor and Mason even when they’re both struggling to remain focused on their respective jobs and I will say that Mason does attempt to make up for his less than stellar actions; I just wish it would have happened a bit sooner in the story line because the length of the story didn’t provide me with enough time to see past my disdain for Mason’s earlier actions.

Then there’s my mother. I need to convince her that my new wife is not the money hungry floozy she called her. Did my mother actually call her that? Yes. I can’t help it that my mother wants me to get rid of my new wife. The problem is what my mother wants, she always gets one way or another. Still, turning my mother’s opinion around can’t be that hard, can it?
There are many other issues, but according to my new wife, those are minor compared to the biggest one—she says I will never be able to accept being tied down.
Don’t worry—I got this one. I intend to prove to her in no uncertain terms that being tied up, down, or horizontal is just what this Upper East Sider needs.
Review of Tied
James Ashton is an Upper East sider who despises the institution of marriage and doesn’t see himself as husband material; in fact, due to his parents’ nightmare of a marriage, he has no desire to enter into a connection with only one woman because being tied down doesn’t fit the lifestyle he sees for himself.
Lindsay Mills may be a model, but she doesn’t come from the same pedigree as James and while her different social status doesn’t matter to him, she can’t help but think that the fact they came from two different worlds will ultimately lead them to divorce before ever really getting a chance to make their marriage work.
James and Lindsay’s relationship started as insta-lust and quickly proceeded to an undeniable attraction and off-the-charts sexual chemistry, but the path from great sex to an actual committed relationship won’t be as easy as James wants it to be, which means that regardless of how compatible they are, happily ever after might not be something they will ever know.
Kim Karr definitely knows how to write steamy scenes and with James’ dirty talk and his domineering demeanor, readers can’t help but get as riled up as Lindsay does and while Tied is just the beginning of their relationship, it’s a worthwhile starting place for one sexually compatible couple.

Office romances are always entertaining to read and Battle of the Sexes holds true to that idea…the banter between Amity and Carver not only illustrates Amity’s new strong-willed personality but it also brings out a different side of Carver, proving that this “wolf in sheep’s clothing” is so much more than a businessman.
Sleeping with the enemy has never been more deliciously dangerous and while at the end of Carver and Amity’s competition someone will end up the loser, it doesn’t mean that their personal relationship has to be completely derailed as long as they’re both willing to cross battle lines and fight a little dirty;)

Jasper James is one sexy Scot, and he’s everything Fannin McGuire never knew she needed, and because this dirty talking bartender allows his Fanny girl to face a deplorable situation, standing by her side and not allowing anyone to disrespect her, it’s easy to understand why their attraction turns into something more quickly, perhaps turning her Plus-one into a lasting couple.
I absolutely loved this one! There’s amazing banter, witty remarks, sinfully steamy encounters, and a fabulously characterized hero and heroine. Mandi Beck definitely knows how to craft a novella that has a smooth flow, a comprehensive story line, and two dynamic characters!
I’d willingly let a bearded Scotsman in a plaid tartan who has a talented mouth and one hell of a body use me in any way he saw fit ANY DAY of the week!

Bradley and Lexi’s novella illustrates how just one week can exponentially change people’s lives. Bradley and Lexi’s time together was only supposed to be a vacation fling, but it’s clear in how they interact and still crave each other that there’s no way they can separate this dream of a week with the reality that awaits them back in New York because feelings have a way of factoring into the equation regardless of how hard people try to avoid them.
Natasha Madison definitely knows how to write romantic comedy, and her latest story for the Imperfect Love world showcases her ability to provide a balance of witty comments, laughable moments, and sizzling scenes. Bradley and Lexi have one heck of a week in Vegas; she’s definitely not the bratty girl he remembers and watching him come undone by her and her sexuality and beauty made this short romantic comedy an enjoyable read!
