Blurb

Ava Diaz needs saving.

She just doesn’t know it yet.

Just like she doesn’t know a thing about the boy she sits next to on the first day of senior year.

He thinks she’s a brat.

She thinks he’s entitled.

Maybe first impressions don’t always last…

Because Connor Ledger’s about to save her.

He just doesn’t know why.

My Review

I can’t even begin to describe the excitement I felt when Heartache and Hope hit my e-reader. I’ve read almost all of Jay McLean’s stories, and after every book, I’m always left in awe of her ability to infuse the amount and the magnitude of feelings that she does in EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. she uses to tell her characters’ story.

In her latest release, Heartache and Hope, book one in her Heartbreak Duet, McLean gives readers Ava Diaz and Connor Ledger’s story and it’s one that illustrates the imperfections of life – the heartache of life – the hopelessness of life when it gives them more than they can possibly handle. And in those redefining but uncontrollable situations, the fear can be overwhelming, which makes putting their trust and faith in people who have the ability to let them down as well as undo the carefully constructed facades they have meld together.

For all intents and purposes, Ava’s life is not her own, and while she’s accepted that fact, attempting to approach it without feeling the immense pressure that weighs down her shoulders, some days are easier than others…some situations can be handled better than others. It’s clear where her focus needs to be, and she tries not to complain about her circumstances, understanding that the blame doesn’t reside with anyone in her household, but that doesn’t mean she’s not frustrated, overwhelmed, anxious, awkward, or insecure, and Jay McLean expertly illustrates the emotional torment that constantly threatens to unhinge her at any given moment.

While Connor’s situation is nothing like Ava’s, his past absolutely defines his present, just like Ava’s does, and although it seems as if these two characters are following much different paths, the truth is that once they connect and find ‘magic’ together, their ‘end game’ slowly becomes redefined despite the obstacles in their way and the fact that, sometimes, they’re their own worst enemy.

In some ways, Ava and Connor are very much the teenagers that their ages signify, which means that their hormones are running rampant and their emotions have the ability to get the best of them and cause them to hurt the people they love the most. But both of them have already had to endure more heartache and pain than some might feel their entire lives, which means that everything is magnified as they go through the typical teenage angst as well as deal with a set of circumstances and situations that are much different from their peers’ experiences.

Jay McLean clearly has a pulse on the dynamics involved in situations like the ones Ava and Connor go through, and it’s clear that she painstakingly and meticulously researched the parts of the story that required factual information along with a significant emotional impact and because she took the time to understand everything that’s involved in the events that Ava and Connor experience, the feelings she conveyed resonate from the pages of this story and make this journey that readers go on with her and her characters significant and all-consuming.

At the end of Heartache and Hope, readers will absolutely be emotionally drained because while the hope is still hanging on in the final pages of book one, the heartache seems far more overreaching and far more tangible given the fallout of a few extremely pivotal discussions and actions. But I also think that readers will not lose all hope heading into First and Forever, not only because of its title but the fact that Ava and Connor share something real, something worth fighting for, something magical, and while the road ahead will definitely be filled with more zero and negative days, there’s hope that these two characters’ red letter days are coming, offering hope even in the darkness.

Prologue

Charlie / 16

The hands gripping my waist are the wrong size. They’re too eager, too desperate as they trail around my back and cup my butt. I don’t like them. I even push them away. But they always come back, gripping, kneading, demanding.
He wouldn’t do this to me.
His hands are perfect.
But he’s not here anymore.
The music gets louder, but not enough to drown out the memories I have of him—the feel of soft kisses trailing down my naked back, or a hand brushing through my hair, or hushed murmurs promising me we’d be okay.
I can’t do this.
Placing my hands over the stranger’s, I try losing myself to the music. His groin to mine, our hips swaying. It’s not enough though.
I need something else. Something more.
Just one more shot.
Just one more pill.
We used to promise each other one more day, because we knew it was wrong. Neither of us could give each other up. We were addicted.
“Charlie …”
“Tomorrow.”

One deep breath. Two slow blinks. Three hollow beats.
I’m still here.

After three years, that reminder isn’t as necessary. But everyone has their bad days. This is definitely one of them.

Until an adorable little boy dashes into my store.
His zest for life makes me smile in a way that’s been long lost.

Then I meet his father.
Well, confront is more like it.

Brance Stone is volatile.
Offensive.
Harsh.
And can’t be bothered to care.

Not that I want him to.
I get frostbite just looking into Brance’s glacial stare. But there’s something undeniable about him.

My misery suddenly craves company. The suffocating numbness lifts whenever Brance is near. That alone should have me running in the opposite direction. Try as I might, there’s no avoiding him. If only I could understand why. As if he’d let me.

I don’t ask. He doesn’t tell. A silent, bitter truce settles between us.
That was our first mistake.
It’s certainly not the last.

My Review

Ask Me Why is a perfect title for Braelyn and Brance’s story because it’s a question that each of them seem to struggle with throughout the course of their story. Asking why brings with it a large amount of baggage and an uncontrollable feelings – ones that make their daily lives difficult because moving forward is not something that can be done until the past is either forgiven or let go of, if it’s even possible.

Braelyn is definitely a broken heroine – one who has experienced more grief and hardships than any one person should have to – but what I admire most about her is the fact that despite everything she’s faced, she’s a survivor and while her life is still a struggle, she at least tries every day to live, maybe not fully, but with every effort to make each better than the last.

Even after finishing Brae and Brance’s story, I honestly still don’t know how I feel about Brance. I don’t usually have a problem with hard ass hot holes, but it was extremely difficult for me to like him or to identify any redeeming qualities in him for quite a bit of the story. I get that he’s been burned by woman, but he doesn’t know anything about Brae and it’s clear fairly early in the story that she is nothing like the women who have hurt him, but he still chooses to treat her horribly, almost like he’s punishing her for the sins of his past, and while Brae isn’t afraid to put Brance in his place, she shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of behavior but a complete stranger, and especially, when they start spending more time together.

While I didn’t truly understand why Brae was attracted to Brance and allowed him to treat her in the ways that he does, Harloe Rae does show another side to Brance – one that is devoted to his son and has other emotions beside anger and frustration. I think, for me, my perspective was already tainted and Brance’s changes weren’t enough to alter my view.

The story as a whole was well laid out and Brance’s son, Ollie, was a definite scene stealer who had a hand in bringing constant light and goodness to both his father and the beautiful candy shop owner whose candy he adores.

I have to admit…I truly didn’t understand why Brae was attracted to Brance and allowed him to do the things he does while also being a huge asshole to her every chance he got. The fact that Ollie played such a pivotal role in the story absolutely helped my enjoyment of Ask Me Why, and by the end, even if I still felt a bit like Brance was undeserving of Brae, I understood why she gave him more chances than I ever would.

Excerpt

Ollie glances between us. “You remember my dad? He was here with me once.”

While his attention is diverted, she glares at me. “Oh, yes. I sure do.”

“He took me all sorts of places this week. That’s why we were so busy,” Ollie explains.

Her mossy eyes search mine, a storm brewing in those green pools. “Is that so?”

“Uh-huh. Daddy took me swimming and out for ice cream. We even went to the movies.”

“Lucky duck. I haven’t been to the theater in ages.”

He makes a squeaking sound. “What? No way. Wanna come with us next time?”

Braelyn’s slender throat bobs. I’m fascinated by the movement. I get a rise thinking about the conflicting emotions raging inside of her. How will she answer? There’s no way in hell she’d agree. The air grows dense, enough to choke on, as her silence stretches.

Finally, she opens her mouth. “I’ll have to check my calendar, buddy. It’s hard to get away from the store.”

He bounces on his toes. “Okay, great. Talk to my dad about it. Can I go play now?”

Braelyn beams at him. “Of course, kiddo. You know where the toys are.”

That’s all he needs to hear before darting down the designated aisle. I watch him disappear in a flash of red and denim. When I look at Braelyn, the thundering in my pulse roars. She’d been all smiles for him, but now all evidence of happiness melts away. When she turns to me, a scowl mars her features. My gut twists painfully, and that stops me short. Am I seriously jealous of my son? That’d be a hell no. I roll my shoulders and strengthen my resolve.

“Fancy seeing you here.” Braelyn crosses her arms, shoving a pair of luscious tits up for my viewing pleasure. I almost applaud the shirt’s low neckline, but thank the summer heat instead. No point giving her ass any credit for wearing less clothing.

I try to keep my focus on her face. “Is it?”

RELEASE BLITZ AND REVIEW: Adore Me by Kelly Elliott

Apple, Barnes and Noble, Kobo ➙ https://books2read.com/u/meyAZR
Adore Me is a stand alone novel within the Austin Singles series.

Blurb

Morgan Barrett is off limits.

Why?

She’s my best friend’s sister and insists that she isn’t interested in a relationship.

That didn’t stop us from sharing one incredibly passionate night together. However, one night was not enough for either of us.

I want more.

She needs more.

When we give in to the temptation, something amazing happens. But can we keep the past from destroying the future we both desire?

My Review

Being attracted to and/or falling in love with your best friend’s younger sister is definitely not an easy situation, so it makes sense why there’s an adamant struggle to contain those feelings, working to never act on them for fear of what could happen if things didn’t work out.

But as difficult as it is, it’s one of my favorite tropes to read because, as someone on the outside looking in, I’m privy to just how deeply these two characters feel about each other and why it’s worth the risk of ruining a friendship or even breaking a heart because those feelings felt just might lead them to their happily ever after.

In the previous two books in Kelly Elliott’s Austin Singles series, readers have learned the loss that Morgan Barrett is dealing with, but because she wasn’t the main characters of those stories, all we had were secondhand insights, so her vulnerability, her grief, her guilt, and her inability to move past what happened weren’t present, but now, in Adore Me, we understand the reasons for Morgan’s struggle and all of the emotions that seem to weigh her down, in ways that she can’t truly break free from.

Readers familiar with this series also know who Blake is, and now that he’s the hero of Adore Me, Elliott dives into all that he is beneath his easy going, playboy demeanor. And what we learn is that a particular event in Blake’s past defined how he lived his life for quite some time, and because he never truly faced what happened and how it changed the dynamics of his life, it makes sense that he would choose to live in a way that wouldn’t provide any further pain, but what he also learned, thanks to those around him finding their perfect match, is that he deserves to have a love like theirs and now that he’s back where Morgan is, he’s ready to act on what he feels for her, even if the reason things start between them is technically a proposition from Morgan that he refuses to turn down.

Blake and Morgan have bought fight their attraction to each other because there never seemed to be a significant amount of time to see where their desires for one another could take them, but now that they’re back in the same town and still harboring strong feelings for each other, they have a chance to see if what they feel can go the distance, and despite their respective pasts and the tension that might be created with a certain older brother, with all of the pain and heartache that Blake and Morgan have dealt with, they deserve their shot at happiness, and I’m so damn glad they took it.

What I adore about series with standalone stories is that authors allow readers to reconnect with past main characters – those individuals who we witnessed fight for love – so the fact that we get to catch up with them and see what’s happening in their lives makes everything seem like it comes full circle and for the hopeless romantic in me gaining that insight makes each hero and heroine’s story more complete.

And this is exactly what Kelly Elliott gives readers at the end of her Austin Singles series, which means that Nash and Kaelynn, and Tucker and Charlie, along with Blake and Morgan are all present to bring this amazing collection of stories to its conclusion, and I have loved every minute of being with these characters and Elliott’s amazing storytelling.

“Blake, I have a proposition for you.”

“What’s that?” I asked, glancing at the boxer lying under the table outside on the patio.

Maybe I should get a dog. I could see myself with a dog. Someone to hang out with. A running partner. A warm body to snuggle up to at night.

Snuggle up to at night? Jesus, what is happening to me?

“It’s a onetime, no-strings-attached kind of thing.”

That piqued my interest as I looked her directly in the eyes.

“Okay, is it a party or something you need a date for?”

The corner of her mouth rose slightly. “We could make it a party…for two.”

Drawing in my brows, I let out a confused chuckle. “What?”

She leaned in, letting her tits sit all nice and pretty on the table as if they were on display.

Eyes, Blake. Stay focused on her eyes.

Then she said the word. The magical word that had my entire body coming to her full attention.

“Sex. You and me. One night together with as much sex as we can fit in. After that we go back to this…to being friends.” She motioned between us with her hand and flashed me an innocent smile.

I coughed, which led to a full-on coughing fit, which had everyone in the place looking at me. One man stood up and came over to see if I was

okay. He patted his hand on my back a little too hard. I was pretty positive he had overheard Morgan’s…proposition.

Lifting my hand, I said, “I’m fine.”

Morgan sat there, leaning back in her chair, arms folded across that perfect chest of hers, a smirk on her face.

Once I could form words, I glared at her. “That was not funny. And it was mean, too.”

Her brow quirked. “It wasn’t meant to be funny. Why is asking for a night of sexual pleasure mean?”

I wasn’t sure how many times I opened and closed my mouth to speak. Ten? Maybe even twelve. Possibly twenty. It felt like an eternity before I finally could answer. Morgan ended up talking first. Saving me from looking like a complete fool.

“Thank you for taking me home last night and making sure I was safe. I should have started with that before I told you I wanted a night of sex.”

I reached for my water, finished the entire glass, and set it on the table. Someone was there instantly to refill it. When they walked away, I leaned in and narrowed my eyes at her.

“Do you hear what you’re saying? Are you still drunk?”

She laughed and leaned forward. “I am very sober, and I’m being serious. I need sex, Blake. I haven’t been with a guy in a long time, and I’m tired of using…other means…to make myself come.”

I groaned and closed my eyes as I buried my face into my hands. It was like both a dream come true and a nightmare. This was my karma coming to cash in on my ass.

Dream Cast ~ Alexander & Clara

My Review

Command…Control…Take…Free

This is what Prince Alexander offers Clara Bishop when a chance encounter turns into a steamy love affair that pulls both of them towards one another – towards a relationship that neither understands nor can do anything to prevent from occurring. Alexander wants to show career oriented Clara the pleasures of being commanded and taken, but Clara has to decide if she can willingly give him control because it’s something that allows her life to stay focused and healthy, grounding her in a way that her past dictates must occur.

But once Clara experiences the X Effect, she finds herself consumed with the dirty mouthed prince; her insatiable lust for him never fading, which is both exhilarating and threatening because right from the start, Alexander has told Clara that either he or his life will destroy her, and it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy because nothing good can come from the secrets being kept from both parties.

I absolutely devoured Command Me and immediately dove into Conquer Me. Clara and Alexander are fantastic characters who bring light to each other’s darkened lives. They need one another, but the fall out of their connection because of Alexander’s duty to his family may be too much for Clara to handle, and I can’t blame her reactions or her pause to continue this love affair because it could end up doing more harm than good not only to her psyche and her body but also to her heart.

Prince Alexander is a bit of an enigma; he understands his place in terms of the crown and he does what needs to be done for both his family and his country, neglecting himself in the process. His past is shrouded in pain and that darkness taunts him on a regular basis only freeing him when he uses someone else’s body to do his bidding. Alexander is relentless when it comes to what he wants, and Clara is it, and although he knows the risks involved by pursuing her as he does, he just can’t seem to help himself because the lightness she brings into his life is something he can’t willingly give up even if it’s what is best for all involved.

Clara needs to be freed from her own self-doubt and lonely existence; she just doesn’t truly understand that fact until she gives her body over to Alexander. As much as Clara tries to not succumb to his charms and keep it strictly physical, he calls to her in a way that no one else does. He knocks down her walls; he frees her from herself, which is not something she’s used to someone doing for her because she has always been fiercely independent. But as caught up as she is in Alexander’s body and the passion that exists between them, she still tries to remain clear headed with the situation because Alexander’s position as future ruler is not something that will go away and her place in that lifestyle is not something she sees happening.

Command Me is an amazing first book in Geneva Lee’s Royal Saga series; it’s intriguing, sensual, dirty, and downright scandalous at times, making it a must read. The characters are dynamic and the storyline is captivating right from the start. It commanded my attention from page one and now I’m ready to be conquered by the next book;)

My Review

Since their first encounter, Clara and Alexander have been consumed by each other; initially, it was the way that their bodies seemed made for one another. It was the way they reveled in taking each other to the edge, pushing past what some might deem appropriate for a prince and his lover, but it’s what made them both feel alive…made them come undone in ways that neither understood, but nonetheless consumed them.

Through secrets and lies, through times of trials and time spent apart, Clara and X have held onto their want and need for each other, so much so, that even though they probably should have never began a relationship, should have gone their separate ways when it was clear that the path X was headed was one that would change the dynamics of his entire life, should have listened to the warnings and heeded the advice of their closest confidants to lead with their heads instead of their hearts, these two held on to their love for one another, to the fact that their choice would always be each other regardless of the difficulties that would come their way, and those who have been with the King and his Queen since book one know what this couple has surmounted and conquered to remain together.

Clara and Alexander have had to endure a litany of complications in their time together – assassination attempts, underhanded traitors and enemies, X’s half-truths and outright lies, but through it all, what has always remained is their all-consuming love, and with the circumstances they find themselves in when Consume Me begins, they both are going to need to hold to the love that they share to the bond that never waivers in order to find their back to each other without losing those they love and bringing down those who are against them, even when they were supposed to stand by their side.

In order to solve the missing pieces that Clara and Alexander are separately confronted with, they’re going to have to rely on themselves, those closest to them, which is not many considering they’ve been betrayed by someone from within, and the intangible bond they share, even when they’re in life or death situations of more people than just themselves. And, as the deception of those around the King and Queen is slowly revealed and the puzzle pieces of just how far back this vendetta against the crown goes, Clara proves just how strong and stubborn she is by refusing to give up, even when things seem hopeless, and Alexander proves that he’s willing to do anything and everything to get Clara back, even if that means going against the dictates and laws of his country.

There’s a lot for Geneva Lee to resolve in Clara and Alexander’s final book, and Lee crafts her characters’ journey brilliantly throughout most of the pages of Consume Me. The pace and flow of the storyline fit the plot’s events and amps up the suspense and intrigue as secrets are exposed and the main players involved in the crimes against the crown are exposed. And even though Clara and Alexander are not together throughout much of the story, their love and passion for one another are stronger than ever, and it truly feels like that’s the only thing that keeps them both moving forward, working to find their way back to each other. The one aspect of the story line that I would have liked to see more developed or perhaps just explained in more concrete terms deals with the people who deceived them while remaining in plain sight. Those revelations felt a bit rushed and not completely unraveled by the time the story ended, which left me with quite a few unanswered questions that I would have liked to be able to wrap my head around and thoroughly  understand why those individuals made the choices that they did despite how they portrayed themselves throughout the series.

The one idea that I kept coming back to as Clara and Alexander’s story winded down was that at the heart of this Royal World is the love that these two characters share because it’s an all-consuming love – one that is bound and determined to weather every storm and surmount every obstacle, and that’s exactly what I look for when I read a romance series, especially one as long as Clara and Alexander’s story has been.

RELEASE BLITZ AND REVIEW: REEL LOVE by Julie A. Richman

Title: Reel Love

Author: Julie A Richman

Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance

Release Date: June 26th, 2019

Synopsis

Is it Reel Love or Real Love?

Hollywood

The moment I laid eyes on Finn Parker’s headshot, I knew that if this guy could act, I wanted him for the hero role in the film being made from my book, Fleeing an August Moon.

The tall, blond, and ruggedly handsome actor looked exactly like the picture I’d seen in my head the entire time I was writing the book.

The studio, however, had different thoughts on a leading man.

Box Office crusher, Maverick Dailey, made it clear that he wanted the role. The producers, studio, and everyone involved were thrilled to score such a celebrity. Well, everyone except me.

And it’s my vote that counts since, according to my contract I get final say on casting. Maverick is amazing, yet I’m just not sure…

It certainly didn’t help that Finn Parker and I seemed destined to cross paths. We ran into each other all over Hollywood. And the more time we spent together, the more the sparks between us flew. We had an intense chemistry, something I’d only ever read about in books like mine.

Which made me wonder, was I really falling for Finn or just living out a fantasy with a red-blooded, live version of my hot hero character?

It’s easy to confuse fiction for reality in Hollywood. Everything is not as it seems in this town.

Not to mention, Finn’s life would forever change if he landed the role. Which made me question how good of an actor he really was? Was he interested in me, or the role I had the power to give him?

Is this Real Love or just Reel Love?

My Review

Behind the glitz and glamour of Hollywood is a reality that only those in the business see and understand, which means to the unseen eye, tinseltown seems like a place where dreams come true and everyone involved in the movie industry are beautiful and live amazing lives.

But the truth isn’t as pretty as the perceptions of the Hollywood Hills because this industry consists of manufactured drama, fictitious worlds, and of fabricated connections/relationships, making it extremely difficult to be able to separate reel life from real life and reel love from real love.

For Francesca ‘Frankie’ Simonelli, the lights of Hollywood aren’t something she knows or even understands, but after her book garners enough attention to be offered a movie deal, she takes a hands-on role in bringing her story to life on the big screen, requiring final approval of the actor who will play her hero, Griffin Chase. The only problem is that who she wants for the role and who the studio wants are not the same male lead, which means she has to remain professional in order to choose which one would make the best Griffin regardless of her personal feelings toward both actors.

It’s said that making it big in Hollywood requires giving up a part of one’s soul, and while Finn Parker is still working on getting a standout role, he’s definitely changed who he is to obtain any advantages he can. When what Finn sees as a breakout role presents itself in the form of a book turned movie, at first, the script doesn’t appeal to him, but his opinion quickly changes, and after he nails the audition, it seems he’s destined for the role, but what that means for his career compared to his personal life is now where the problem lies because if he wants to be Griffin Chase, what happens to the real man behind the fictitious character and which one does Frankie truly want and need him to be?

The concept of Julie A. Richman’s newest release, Reel Love, is fitting for all that’s occurring in contemporary society when it comes to book to movie adaptations. And the idea that fact and fiction easily overlap each other in many facets of life rings true as well. Richman does a great job of illustrating all of the obstacles that Frankie and Finn must overcome if they want to turn their feelings for each other into something real and lasting. The behind-the-scenes look that readers get is extremely insightful and the difficulties of separating what’s real and what’s fiction when it comes to Frankie and Finn’s chemistry, connection, and feelings solidifies why Hollywood is so much more than how it’s portrayed on the small and big screens.

Excerpt

Finn

Don’t fuck this up. This is the chance of a lifetime. She just confirmed that the rumors are true and she is the final decision-maker on casting. Who knew she’d be an early riser and a runner. Yeah, Sebastian told me that’s where she was staying, but I didn’t think I’d run into her. Divine providence, maybe? So glad I asked her where she was staying, now I don’t have to worry about that slipping out and her wondering how the hell I knew that little piece of information.

C’mon, dude, convince her you are Griffin Chase. This is your chance.

“Anything you want to know? If I can answer it, I will.” She smiles at me and seems very sincere in her offer.

There’s a messy lock of hair that’s slipped out of her loose ponytail and it’s distracting the hell out of me, seriously interfering with my brain’s ability to come up with coherent questions, questions that will impress a writer. I have the urge to reach across the table and tuck the errant, loose blonde spiral behind her ear. But I’m kind of digging the sexiness of how real she looks with it all messy. This woman has never seen a plastic surgeon in her life and everything that is imperfect is actually refreshing. And beautiful. And I don’t usually have a thing for blondes. But this one, she’s really cute.

“But hold that thought.” She smiles, abruptly getting up and going to the counter at the front of the shop.

It’s impossible not to admire her tight bottom, muscular legs, and the natural sway of her hips. Damn, that is sexy. I wonder if she even knows she’s sexy.

Returning with a plate covered by two large cookies, she shrugs, giving me an impish grin. “They were called cowboy cookies. How could I not?”

I can smell the dark chocolate and butter as she sets them down. “What exactly are they?”

“Oatmeal with chocolate chip.” She breaks off a piece of the one closest to her.

“Raisins are overrated anyway,” I assess with my first bite as the dark chocolate bathes my taste buds. Like everything else this place serves, the cookies are delicious.

“I figure we’ve already run off these calories.” Washing her cookie down with iced Americano, she locks eyes with me and asks, “Okay, I’m ready. So, what questions can I answer for you?”

COVER REVEAL: My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend by Max Monroe

MBBBF - CR banner.jpg

One minute, I’m a woman trying to find her way in the world, and the next, I’m the sender of six of the most embarrassing text messages that have ever been sent in the history of time—or the cell phone.

Whatever.

My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend, a hilarious romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe, is coming July 18th and we have the fantastic new cover!

MBBBF_Cover.jpg

Mabel “Maybe” Willis died a virgin at the very young age of twenty-four.

She leaves behind her parents, Betty and Bruce, her brother, Evan, a laptop filled with one too many Jason Momoa memes, and a Kindle library with more books than one human being could ever finish in a lifetime.

Cause of death: a text message.

Okay. So, I didn’t die.

But I may as well have.

One minute, I’m a woman trying to find her way in the world, and the next, I’m the sender of six of the most embarrassing text messages that have ever been sent in the history of time—or the cell phone. Whatever.

We’re talking code red, send a flipping mayday, the apocalypse is coming kind of texts.

And I didn’t just send them to some random person I’ll never see again.

No. That would be too easy.

I sent them to Milo Ives.

The man who played a starring role in all of my teenage fantasies—and my brother’s lifelong best friend.

And, boy oh boy, has he grown up.

He’s hard-bodied, blue-eyed, jawline-of-stone handsome, crazy successful, and has more money in his bank account than my brain can fathom.

Deflower me, please? I said.

Yeah. Send help.

RELEASE BLITZ: THE KISS PLOT by Nicole French

Jane and Eric de Vries.

Often enemies. Sometimes lovers.

Husband and wife. Or are we?

I wore the dress. We said the vows.

And somehow it became more than just a stunt to collect his billions.

A promise bound by love, not hate.

Until he humiliated me in front of all of New York and disappeared.

Now my errant husband has returned, and it’s like I never existed.

Except when he looks at me like he wants to rip my dress from my body.

Something’s holding him back. And I won’t rest until I discover its cause.

See, this wild heir is about to find out: karma’s a fickle mistress.

My weapons? Batting eyelashes, high heels, and that red lipstick he can’t resist.

I’ll break down his mask, little by little. And then I’ll make him pay for what he did.

I just need to keep my heart in check while I do it.

THE HATE VOW

Quicksilver Book 1

Eric de Vries.

Looks like millions. Worth billions.

A body like the David with a mind to match.

Unfortunately for this wayward heir, to keep his money, he needs a wife.

And of all the women in the world, he chooses me.

Too bad I’ve hated him for five years, since he took all my tears and tossed me away. The guy slept his way through half of New England and discarded women like hotel toiletries.

Been there. Done that.

Still…what would you do for twenty million dollars?

Would you wear the dress?

Fake a smile for the man who broke your heart?

Or would you run far, far away?

Yeah, that’s what I thought.

I’ll see you at the church.
